1. Yeah, I saw the Tree Spider at Bass Pro. Looked pretty nice and so do the HSS. I won't mind a little extra warmth when temps drop, but for the ease of putting them on and taking them off, I'll deal with it during bow season. I know I could probably save a few dollars ordering online, but I'll probably buy local somewhere so I can try it on. Which one are you leaning towards, or are you thinking either one is fine?
2. Dang, hope the dogs okay. 3 in a day, that's sayin something.
3. This question doens't necessarily have to do with arrow slangin but do most of you use the Hunter Safety System harnesses? I've been using the old style forever, better than a broken back, but looking to upgrade to a better design.
4. Well I got it mounted this evening. Looks good to me although I picture these with red dots everytime I think about them (AR rifles that is) but I know for hunting, this will work best for me. Oh and by the way, it took me till 40 years old to buy a Leupold scope.....And I'm as excited as can be and already know this won't be my last. It's bottom of the line Leupold, but much better than any other hunting scope I've ever owned. Now for the fun part, get it sighted in and ready for deer, coyote, rabbits from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and whatever other vicious creatures I may happen upon in the TN woods
5. If its that comfortable, there may be more deer in front of me too, but I won't see them while I'm asleep haha. Its about time I upgraded stands, the Goliath is one I've been looking at.
6. You won't be caring when you're slingin'm down range either, fun is fun!! I paid more for some ammo than I wanted to, but now that I don't have a problem finding it, I can't tell the difference between the stuff I got at normal prices and the stuff I spent more on. I'm cleaning my AR10 now....these things sure can put a smile on your face!
7. I actually have had no trouble out of Tul. For range playing, its perfect since I don't reload, I have no reason to complain. Dirtier, yes, but I LOVE cleaning my AR's.
8. Wow, those are slick!
9. Ewww!
10. Holy crap, not good! I always check each crevice and fold to make sure even a round of ammo didn't fall out of view. Hope it works out for her.
11. I won't buy from them for the principle, but who knows how much CTD ammo we might be buying at LGS now that CTD is feeling the pain and dropping their prices. Glad you got some though.
12. Probably pretty close to how it goes down.
13. My first was a P89 then got the P90. My wife loved shooting both of them!
14. I have a Vortex Strikefire scope on my AR10 now. I want to hunt with it this year so I picked up a Leupold Rifleman 3x9x40 and the Nikon AR platform mounting system. Just curious if any of you have used these mounts with a regular hunting scope and what you think about them versus say Leupold rings.
15. It was too warm last year during most of the season, finally cooled off some in gun season. I'd love to be out opening day of bow and be chilly!
16. Glad you got to shoot it and hope you get it fixed so you can play some more.
17. I was thinking of trying one of those for the first time. My friends have bragged on them and I don't wanna be gettin eat up during bow season.
18. Up until the last couple of years, I always had all 3 weeks of my vacation left at the beginning of deer season. Most of the other employees were out of vacation by then. I enjoyed every single minute of vacation sitting in the woods. The last couple years though, I've been taking time off to spend with my daughter during school break. I'll miss those extra days in the woods but wouldn't trade it for the world as she is growing up so fast. I'll have a couple of days to take off this season, but every weekend I'll be trying to outsmart those swamp donkeys lol. I'm hoping that the trend of weather this year, means we are going to have a nice cold winter and with enough finger crossing, some snow!
19. I've never seen or heard of that either, but pretty cool concept!
20. I know I'm not the only one on TGO that's already shaking and pumped up for opening day of deer season. I've been seeing deer everywhere and my heart starts thumpin like I'm sittin in the woods getting ready to let and arrow rip!
21. Oh man, so sorry to hear that!
22. It's rumored that you can shoot this pistol with a firm or soft grip
23. Thanks for posting this up, been wanting one for a while.
