  1. Wish you'd have been in the stand when he squatted there! Git'm bubba!
  2. Nice! P.S. The rifle will be cheaper in the long run
  3. Love both of these pics!
  4. I'm not waiting on anything, but I'm pissed for the rest of you who are Dolomite
  5. Very surprised, but I didn't see anything. Maybe they were running all day yesterday after the monsoon Sunday?
  6. Nice and cool out here boys, good luck!
  7. I know they are GREAT coolers, but if I ever spent that kind of money on one (if I ever had the money to spend on one) I'd have a GPS tracker on that S.O.B. in case it came up missing. I'll just stick with my Coleman's, but the Yeti's are nice to dream about. Come to think of it, food never lasts long enough around me to need to keep it that long
  8. HA HA HA You dang near talked me into it.......then my wife walked in the room and that's a rage I don't want unleashed on me after I say, "Honey, I quit so I can hunt!"  Actually if my boss wasn't on vacation, I have no doubt that if I said "Hey, it's gonna be a great day to hunt tomorrow. I know it's late notice, but can I have the day off?" If there wasn't something absolutely necessary for me to be involved in, i.e. meetings/visitors/SHTF, he'd let me have it. So I've got it pretty good and the other supervisor and I always cover for each other when we need to take off last minute. Doesn't get much better than that, so I better keep the Mrs. happy. But hey, it's a great thought!
  9. Welcome to TGO!
  10. Sorry brother, it pissed me off too. I wish it was on one of those satire sites and I'd finally be like "OH! I was gonna say!"
  11. The Predator or this guy -->  :stalk:
  12. I did not make it out this morning like I'd planned. Last night, no matter how hard I tried to go to sleep, I couldn't. So I decided to not get up after 3 1/2 hours of sleep and try to hunt, then go to work. However, it's supposed to be cool again in the morning, so if I can pass out earlier tonight I am going to try to get out there in the a.m. If I don't get one really early morning, I'll have to not shoot or go back and get him after work. I can't come in late for "deer retrieval" again LOL
  13. I tried "liking" this more than once, but it wouldn't let me
  14. Good to hear!!! You hunting this evening too I suppose?
  15. That's what I was thinking. This crap has spread a lot farther than most realize.
  16. http://www.wsmv.com/story/23624437/national-amber-alert-website-shut-down Apparently they re-opened it, but it was shut down
  17. http://www.fox17.com/newsroom/top_stories/videos/wztv_vid_20584.shtml   COBB COUNTY, GA - A student accidentally violates his school weapon policies and is charged with a felony. The reason for the charge? Police found fishing gear in his car on school property. Cody Chitwood, a 17 year old senior at Lassiter high School, has been charged with the felony of bringing a weapon into a school zone when he accidentally left his fishing gear in his car. Police found fishing knives in a tackle box in his car when they were performing a random sweep. Drug dogs detected gun powder in Chitwood's car from firecracker residue left over from the Fourth of July. The residue warranted a full search of the vehicle and led police to his fishing gear. Cody is an avid fisherman and he is hoping to get the felony dropped so he can get into the Air Force. He could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if the district attorney decides to prosecute
  18. Okay, I just saw its supposed to be in the 40's in the morning! Didn't know it was dropping that much. I'm going to bed and off to the woods I go for a couple of hours before work.
  19. I opened the door at a little after 5, and the cool air hit me in the face. I screamed "&#++#?!? when did them temp drop!?!?" My wife said "Just go, you know you want to". Lol Well clear in Smyrna, did not mean clear in Mt Juliet! Got up there and it was still raining. Oh well, I'd drove up, and I was hunting for that last 30 minutes. It just stopped raining when the light went away and I was walking to the truck. Oh well. Wish I was going in the morning though! Good luck, they should be moving.
  20. Amen to that!
  21. Welcome to TGO! Moved a couple out to Riverton about 12 years ago when I worked with United Van LInes. I did NOT want to leave, it was beautiful out there.
  22. Glad I was too tired to get up this morning. Wife said it was pouring when she woke up, which would have been about the time I'd have been able to see in the woods. Its pouring hard here in Smyrna now too. Guess I'm dine for the weekend unless it moves on out, then I will run out for a short evening hunt.
