Nice cool 28 degrees when I left this morning, but nothing, not even a doe. Then, driving down Hobson Pike and see a huge body laying in the ditch, and I knew it had to be a buck. Sure enough, someone had already cut it's head off too. BIG bodied buck, probably had a nice rack on it. I think I'm going to run out to try TWRA spot in Smyrna today, just to see what happens.

Well, took tomorrow off and headed back out. Supposed to be low 30's in the morning, hoping for good movement!!!

I picked up a case of 650 rounds of UMC .40 for $229 + tax this morning at Academy in Smyrna. Been sitting there for weeks, finally broke down and got it.

Just for future reference for anyone else, I picked up a 13 and a 26, tried them on a VX-1 and they fit at Academy. Took the chance on it being the same size as the Rifleman, and luckily it was. Really looks good on there!!!
