  1. Thanks Batman!
  2. Here's my idea I used. I got the wood off of a crate that we receive hammers in at work. Cut up some rope, tacked a few nails and here it is. Room for a couple more up top still. Hope to fill it soon! Hope y'all like it
  3. So a couple of days before muzzleloader season opened, I was sitting there thinking "I wish I hadn't sold my muzzleloader, dangit, who did I sell that too?". It's been several years and I was stumped for days trying to remember. Yesterday, a friend of mine that works for me is walking down the dock and says "Hey, you wanna buy your muzzleloader back?" LMAO! I was like, seriously, he couldn't have asked 2 weeks ago since it's 2 days before rifle season!?!? But I'm still getting it back, I can use it on WMA land close to the house, since I can't use centerfire. All in all, still glad he asked, I'm glad to have one back that I should have never sold.
  4.
  5. Welcome to TGO!!
  6. Just an update: I know I didn't contribute much to this conversation as y'all were using a language I don't understand, but my IT guy at work got the laptop going again. Apparently it was pretty bad, whatever it was that got in here. He basically rebuilt it from the ground up and it's working like a champ. He recommended Avast! AV and put it on for me. In the meantime my wife decided she's buying a new computer anyway, and told me this laptop is my Christmas present.....that means I pay for the repair lmao. Anyway, I'm happy to get it regardless. Thanks for all the info guys!
  7. The smaller one is from last year too. Still had the hide on top, just left it on there when I threw it in the pot. Came off easily after boiling. Racks look good hanging anywhere, yep, redneck too
  8. ^^This. When I travel to MO, I only drive for 20 seconds through IL and I stop on KY side, unload, separate ammo from gun/mags, drive through IL and stop on the MO side and reload. Don't test them. My two cents
  9. Cool idea but like others have said, I'll spend those 5 bills on something else.
  10. I hear ya, my wife has been keeping an eye on me when I'm on the computer. Have no idea why she'd be worried about me buying something the week before gun season opened up    P.S. Jealous about the M1 Garand too Congrats!!
  11. DANG! Sounds like my luck brother.
  12. This got me wondering exactly how old mine was, I knew it was mid 70's because I still have Pappaw's receipt somewhere. Googled how to age them and it's a 1977. Pappaw never hunted with this particular Marlin 336, only sighted it in, and it sat in the gun case until I got it in 2001 when he died. Killed my first buck with it also, pretty awesome!!!   Oh, and in case anyone else doesn't know how to do it:   Take the first 2 numbers in the serial number and subtract those numbers from 100 and it will give you the date. Example , if your first 2 numbers are 24 your rifle was made in 1976.
  13. I have a lot of family in Missouri and my cousin told me last week that they hadn't started rutting either. I figured they'd be full in by now. But my other cousins have killed some massive bucks already, makes me sick! HA HA
  14. I would love to have one...just because...Dang if it ain't too close to Christmas time though
  15. Dave. thanks for all the pointers (no pun intended!) lol Boiled up a couple of my skulls after buying a little camp stove from Wal-Mart Saturday night. Used 20 Mule Team Borax and it worked GREAT! Haven't put the peroxide to them yet, but that's next, and then probably spray them with a little shellac to seal them up. But all in all, very happy with how well the borax worked. Thanks again and here's a couple pictures. Working on a wooden background idea that I think will look good and will post pics when I'm done. 16. Bass Pro is open till 10 Batman, run down there and pick one up real quick
  17. I will be out there with my AR10. I hope I get a big buck down with it. And you know I will be posting a picture of the deer with the rifle laying on it   Good luck everyone!!!
  18. LMAO!!!! It works better than the original!
  19. My wife let her carry permit expire but it's not been 6 months, so I called and got the form for her. Does she have to go in person to renew or can she mail it in as if it hadn't expired? And also, she doesn't need to re-send a copy of her birth certificate this time right?
  20. Awesome!!!!
  21. Congrats Rob, nice deer!
  22. I agree! But in the end, even keeping his cool wasn't good enough to keep him out of jail. After all the cops I've seen handle screaming, cussing, humiliation and still remaining calm and doing their job. And this officer arrested him over conversation. Sickening.
  23. That officer is an idiot! I've met a lot of great resource officers, matter of fact, all of them seemed very willing to help in any way. But this video really p'd me off!
  24. I've seen it plenty. But you are right, they are selling like crazy. I love mine!
