Didn't hunt this morning, but got out there at 2 this afternoon. Saw the same 3 today that I saw yesterday morning, this time it was around 4. Let'm walk again and kept an eye out for something following their path but nodda. It was still a good afternoon hunt. Dang, this season is going to be over and it just seems like yesterday that the Official Bow thread was started!  :down:  I want to hunt till February! But hey, coyote season (fawns dropping) isn't too far away. :rock:

Any thoughts or experience with these? I was in Walmart last night at 9ish to Christmas shop with my daughter. I went to see if they had any rifled slugs for my new 12 gauge, and they did (thanks goodness!) and I bought two boxes and left two boxes for the next guy.They had a ton of ammo in the case, all pistol and rifle calibers seemed to be well stocked. I didn't see .22, but didn't expect to. I don't know how much is left but there was plenty of most of it. This was at the Smyrna location.

I watched Hickock45's video on the 870 vs 590A1. Pretty good video comparison. He stated that he couldn't decide so he bought both haha. Probably what I will do, but later when I have the funds.

Same here. I actually killed my first buck ever right in this same spot with my Pappaws old 30-30. What a glorious day that was! No blind back then, sitting on one of those swivel seats that ratchet strap to the tree and it was raining. Didn't care one I had my first rack on the ground!

Grabbed my pop up this morning and hit the woods even though it was raining. Soon as the rain let up a little three small yearlings walked 20 yards in front of my blind. Let them walk but cool to see!

My in-laws live there and I love it, not cheap, but beautiful.

First off, thanks to all who gave me advice in my Mossberg Maverick thread. If you read it, you know my wife and daughter surprised me with the news that they were getting me a shotgun for Christmas. I added some money to it and came out with my new Remington Express Tactical 870 12 gauge! It has 18.5 inch barrel and 6+1 capacity. Here it is and I LOVE it!

Actually it was a girl that confronted the shooter (aka piece of garbage). I was listening to an interview on the radio with one of the students that said the girl walked up to "Carl" and said "You have a gun". The reporter then told the boy being interviewed not to say the name on the air. He is a sick SOB to begin with but to shoot a girl he allededly went to school with!?!? (The boy being interviewed said the shooter was also a student) Not sure if the media has posted this info as truth or not. I'm with you on sending up multiple prayers for everyone involved....except the shooter (&(*&&@#@!

Listening to radio now, the crap is plain stupid. One shooting bad enough, they just won't stop and I don't think this crap is coincidental anymore

Well I couldn't sleep this morning so I drove to Murfreesboro Walmart to see what they had. Got here sure that I'd have to wait till 7, like ammo but manager told me TBI doesn't open till 8 so going to do some Christmas shopping while I wait. They have the Remington 870 wood stock, 28" barrel for $257 and its drilled and tapped. But the have the Tactical synthetic with extended magazine for $347. Dang, choices, choices! I'm going with the Tactical because I'd rather have the extra capacity over the drilled and tapped. Hell, I may not even care about putting a scope on it, but will definitely want the 6 round capacity.

I wonder if I should wait till Sunday to go pick one out since that's the start of new sales ads? I'd hate to buy one Saturday and find it $40 cheaper the next day!
