  1. you better get off my property!   http://www.wsmv.com/story/24307293/sheriff-homeowner-shoots-burglary-suspect-in-groin
  2. It would have really been funny if you had happened to be a cop and he tried to "arrest" you
  3. Awwww I probably would have said "Okay, no problem" and handed him my Kroger Plus card. He wants to be funny, so can I. What an idiot!
  4. Just checked tracking on my xs big dot and it's in LaVergne. Soooooo in the words of our beloved Rosco P. Coletrane "GGG GGG GGG! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!" :woohoo:
  5. The point about being able to change the extractor should it break is something I really wish Remington had adopted. Heck, why not have one of each, that's the only way to really test them!   Thanks for the reply.
  6. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
  7. I got my first ones a few weeks ago and I stared at them for 5 minutes. They are pretty nice, but sure didn't change how fast they disappeared!
  8. Nice present for both of you   Merry Christmas!
  9. Thanks Dave and a wonderful, Merry Christmas to you as well!!
  10. LMAO! Good one!
  11. Nice!! Merry Christmas!!
  12. There ya go JohnC. They are sweeeeeet!
  13.
  14. That's awesome that you're taking them out to shoot. And yes, you're probably gonna go through a lot of ammo ha ha. I know that feeling. I bring way more than I expect to shoot just so my friends can shoot if they want to. A lot of them don't have some of the guns that I do and really enjoy shooting. Most of them are buying more now just because they got to try them and see how they shoot. We have to work Friday, so we won't be out there unfortunately. I'd MUCH rather be shooting that working though! Y'all have fun and Merry Christmas to you and your family too!
  15. You are right, the internet can be helpful, but you have to know how to weed out the bull-stuff from the real reviews. I will give you a shout when we go out there. Deer season is almost over   but after that we are going to be going out there a lot. Now that I think about it, I may see if he wants to go this weekend, he's dying to shoot it and I really wanna send some rounds through mine too. I'll let ya know.
  16. "I can't wait to tell the guys on TGO about this!"
  17.  Good story, glad all turned out well. Merry Christmas!
  18. Thanks Luke! He has fun when more people go to the range with us because of the story telling and all that goes with it. But, when just he and I go, he and I enjoy that we can take our time, he can ask questions and I can answer them in detail and show him what I'm talking about (if it involves something on targets, aiming, etc) without all of the distractions of other people. We took a pistol and rifle apiece to the O.K. Corral on one of the trips, most of the day we were the only  ones there, and shot for 8 hours! HA HA Man, we went through some ammo, but damn if it wasn't a good time. Now, given, it wasn't non-stop shooting, a lot of instruction, practice on breathing, and sighting in scopes, but it was our favorite trip yet. Hell, we both learned a lot that day. Shooting at the 200 yard backstop was the highlight, he was jumping up and down! He'd never shot a rifle that far before, and now he was doing it with his own rifle. And we all know, that makes all the difference in the world. I'm proud to say that he cleans his guns IMMEDIATELY when he goes home. Next up AR15 in his safe.....God I hope his wife doesn't have a TGO account, she'll kill me for that last statement!
  19. Merry Christmas Peace!
  20. Thanks again for the heads up, in it! Good luck everyone.
  21. Thanks fellas! Only wish I could have been there to see his face. But it'll be the next best thing when we go to the range and shoot the crap out of them together!
  22. Try to keep this to the point if I can. I am the shipping supervisor at my company and the receiving supervisor is a good friend of mine. I took him to a gun show a couple of years ago and helped him pick out his first pistol ever, a Sig 2022. I then took him to pick up his first rifle, a Savage .308 bolt action. I then got them (he and his wife) informed on the carry permit procedure and the responsibility that comes with it. They both took the class last year and love going shooting with me. Well, some of you know I got my new Remington 870 for Christmas and he was all excited about it, and explained that he can't wait to get one but doesn't have the extra cash for it right now. His wife works in the office at the same company and I emailed her to see if she'd picked out his Christmas present yet. She said "No, and let me guess, YOU have an idea!" HA HA Well it took some searching because a lot of people were out of stock because of Christmas buying, and I had to stay in her price range. But I found a Mossberg Maverick Home Defense 12 gauge with 20" barrel for $239 at Specialty Arms in LaVergne. Steve held one for her yesterday till she got off at 4:30 and she went to get it. She pulled in at work after buying it to let me see it before she took it home and surprised him with it. Needless to say, he was NOT expecting that! I bought him a target slaying starter kit (ammo) to get him started. I won't lie, every time he gets his new first anything firearms related and he's eager to learn more about them, I get as excited as if it was for me.  Anyway, I thought I'd share their growth and the cool story. It's really amazing to see people that want to learn and be responsible change with each trip to the range. Hell, we were all at that beginner stage at one time and I think it's important to share and pass responsible gun ownership on to people who will respect it!
