Luke, glad you and and your buddy are going to make it. But I wish your wife a speedy recovery so she can go soon also. Glad y'all know it can be fixed, I'm sure it was stressful and probably still is. Nothing like a lil range time for self healing! Give her our best!

Very understandable. It's about 35-45 minutes for me as well but it's a nice drive once I get out of town. I love this range also because it kinda feels like I'm shooting at an old farm since it's up in the woods. Very relaxing. But my wife laughs when I say "I'm goin shootin for a couple of hours" since the drive there and back is almost that  :rofl:  She knows better!

This will probably be my next pistol. I've been having .45 withdrawals since I sold my P90. I love my M&P40 so I really want the same gun in .45. Very nice by the way! :up:

Well it's finally the weekend again. Several of us are going to OK Corral again this Sunday around 1. It's supposed to be nice weather so we are ready!!! Holler at me if any of you show up.

Wife just called to check again and the lady told her "We are really behind, we are now on the ones submitted on December 2nd. Yours is through the backgound check. As soon as it gets done, we'll mail it out." Well going on the stories above, that is incorrect or a lie. I wonder if hers got mixed in with new applications and that's why it's taking so long. I told her to call back and ask if that was the case.   Edit* She called back while writing this. She said it was because it had expired and they go through the whole original process. What else is there besides the background check that they do when doing a non-expired renewal? I wish it wasn't taking this long but I'm at least happy she got detailed information from this lady instead of the short call/info she received last time she called.

It's not what you would think a thief would pick as a good place to rob due to location. I know, they aren't smart, but there are stop lights in each direction with 35 mph speed limit. Unless they went to one of the many businesses close to there and switched vehicles? LPD is usually up and down Waldron road ALL the time.

One of the guys that works for me asked to take a long lunch today to get a headlight for his car. He'd gotten pulled over this morning and told to fix it, or the next one wouldn't be a warning. So he was doing the right thing. As he pulled onto Waldron road at a few minutes after 12, cops came flying up behind him, passing him with lights and sirens blaring.
