  1. I’ve never been a Blake Shelton fan, not because I don’t like him, I just don’t keep up with music much. But he knocked it out of the park with this song to me!
  2. Wow that’s crazy. If it was a $30 barrel I’d be more inclined to be worried but I guess it’s a good lesson since it could technically happen with other brands as well. Although the higher end barrels should have a much lower chance of it happening. Glad you were able to get him going again. Wonder what they’ll say about this slipping through QC?
  3. I’m still amazed after using it consistently for the past two years at how well it works. All those years that I didn’t know about it, sure were a pain in the rear.

    Lowers

    Good deal. Anderson’s?
  5. I’ve heard this before from a few guys. I definitely want to go be them a try.

    Lowers

My experience has been that if a local shop has Spikes Tactical lowers in stock for $100 I just grab them. Not only am I supporting a local gun shop, it works out about the same money as an online order without the wait. Most transfers I’ve done were $15 or $20 plus background check. But those prices are hard to find nowadays. Here in my area anyway. If you get a lower that you’re not tickled with for $59 or $69 and then get charged shipping (some do, some don’t), then add $25-50 transfer fee, the it’s worth it to me to buy and walk out with a lower I like more. The flip side to that is you’re limited to what the store has in stock unless they will order something. Then you’re back to the wait time for shipping but won’t have the transfer fee on top of it. Hope that helps and makes sense.
  7. I was going to ask you if you’d used BA barrels. I have the 18” Hanson on my coyote rifle and it’s a very accurate shooter! My next one will the the Hanson 12.3 barrel.
  8. Very nice, can’t wait to hear your range report!
  9. Me too. Each one is just a little different and I learn something every time. Best lesson I’ve learned is that cheap sometimes cost more in the long run lol. That being said, I’ve had some good budget items that surprised me. Also learned that I have Lamborghini tastes with Mustang income and sometimes I have to save a long time to get what I want
  10. That’ll probably shoot good!
  11. What brand barrel did you go with this time?
  12. That’s gets me excited seeing all those parts laying on the bench like that. Sure is fun huh? Good stuff laying there, I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
  13. I couldn’t film everything but I did film some progress and uploaded the progress to my YouTube channel if anyone wants to watch. About as exciting as watching paint dry
  14. Well I got the Freedom Stencil pack out that I ordered a while ago. I had absolutely no idea what order or color would be first or last I jus went to town on it. I actually decided half way through it that I’d leave olive drab as the final coat but changed right at the end and went with Camo Khaki. I think it turned out pretty nice! The Rem 700 on the right is already posted in this thread but I wanted to compare them. The rifle on the left is the one I just painted and it’s a Savage 110 Tactical Desert edition chambered in 6.5 Creed.
  15. That is looking good so far!
  16. Thank you!
  17. No problem.
  18. Haha yeah have to be careful not to camouflage it from yourself! Looks good!
  19. Thank you! I’m sure you would surprise yourself. You’ll never know till you try it. Easy enough to fix if you don’t like the way something turned out though.
  20. Grabbed my Ruger 10/22 out of the safe yesterday and gave it a quick little break up pattern. Funny thing is my Mom bought a bunch of spray paint on clearance for 10 cents a can last year some time and asked me if I could use it. I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it but I’m sure glad she picked it up. It’s called Woodland Stone and worked perfect for this pattern.
  21. Their website states 25 in/lbs in FAQ area and on the torque tool that they sell is set to break at 25 in/lbs too. Not sure if that helps?
  22. I’m definitely interested in getting one of these. Thanks for posting, I hadn’t heard about this yet.
  23. Thank you sir!
  24. Thank you, yours looks good too!
