  1. LOL @ Mechanic_X, I'll shoot with you anytime! You, and all the guys, from MCTS are top notch guys and I'm grateful for everything you guys have already shown me. But I know I'm not the only noob who would like to get out of the competative environment of a match and work on shooting for accuracy AND speed. I don't think I'm the only one who kicks into competition mode when I'm at a match, manage to forget what little I practiced, and don't want to hold up the squad and the rest of the match.
  2. Random thought tonight for our resident IDPA experts.. Have you ever thought about (or organized) an IDPA class? As with any sport, training and practice is what separates the weekend warrior from the skilled shooters. I know a Saturday training class on stage strategy, reloading, and shooting drills from some of you guys would help me and I'd be willing to pay for it. I'd even help organize it. Meet early, grill out for lunch, and finish in the afternoon. What do you guys think?
  3. With exception to my PPK, I just cant get used to the IWB option. My most common and favorable carry is a high ride holster OWB.
  4. She's lying if she says it's the motion in the ocean instead of the size! LOL :)
  5. Love that SIG. Don't bother posting if you decide to sell. Just pm me :) Edit: typo
  6. Oh yeah, I didn't even think about that. Sometimes you should lob 9mm at the zombies 100 yards out just to let them know you mean business. :)
  7. Awesome! The 5.7 could get a little costly, but would really splatter some zombie brains!
  8. We're going to try to make it out.  This looks like a lot of fun!    Can I shoot my CZ Shadow Target at this one or are you running IDPA classes?
  9. I'm trying to figure out the math here. Let's say 90 days since Newtown, production every day, that's 360,000,000 rounds produced. Even using the wrong, high gun owner count of 192 million, that's 1.8 rounds per person. That pretty much sucks. Even at the low gun owner count of 44 million, that's 8.1 rounds per person, which also sucks. "May I have some more sir?"
  10. Can't stand the lady smacking the dog on the head.  I would have grabbed that stick and beat her with it.
  11.   That's what the claymores are for on each side of the driveway and at each entrance to the house!  :)
  12. Last I checked, wasn't it like $40+ to buy a season from from Apple?
  13. Yeah, I average 4-6mb on my Clear wireless and when it drops to 4mb you will see Netflix switch out of HD mode.
  14. You also have to figure out what it is you watch.  If you're a sports guy, it's tough to beat cable unless you want to go to the bar.  If you have certain network shows like Duck Dynasty or "special" programming that are an absolute must, it's hard to get those.  DD may be available online, I was just looking for an example.    Also, Netflix is generally one season behind on TV, so that's where you pick up Hulu+ for current season.  Or you can get them online from many websites.   Again, I don't have cable and don't miss it, but I'm not a big TV person.  I'm more apt to sit here and read posts on TGO!
  15.   Yeah, typical Glock quote.  I have 1911, Sigs, S&W, and they all worked out of the box.
  16. If you're getting decent internet access AND basic TV for $90/month that's hard to beat.  Look at it this way, if you go to over the air HD you'll want to have an internet connection to get Netflix, Hulu, ABC.com, CNN.com, etc.  So you can't get rid of the internet connection.  Then add $8/month for Netflix and $8/month for Hulu.  Figure $45/month for internet access, plus the new services, and you're hovering at $60/month again.  So you have to decide if you want to sacrifice all of your cable shows for $30/month.    Personally, I don't miss it.  We cut out the home phone and cable two years ago.  Now I just pay for the Clear, Netflix, and save $40/month.
  17. The magazine follower is what pushes up on the release to lock it.  If it's locking every time, with rounds in the mag, there is something pushing it up all the time.  Depending on how you hold the gun, are you putting any pressure upwards on the release?
  18. Regardless of the rules I would say the shadow target is ESP. Especially since mine came from Angus' shop with custom work. But either way it is an awesome gun and I hope to make it a go to IDPA gun. I have been shooting an XD in ESP, which is a great gun, but I'm really starting to like the CZ as I'm getting used to the trigger and having to use the manual safety.
