  1. If the COF doesn't specify going to slidelock, can you tactical reload anywhere as long as you are behind cover relative to the next threat target?
  2. Lagerhead, I know you shoot bayou bullets.  What's your favorite recipe on those?
  3. I have an XD 9mm tactical with 1000s of rounds through it without a problem.
  4. The Reloaders Bench has some 8 round Wilson mags with bumpers in stock. $36.99
  5. Last time I was at a shotgun match there were a handful.  I would shoot shottie, but I'm going to shoot the classifier and really don't want to be rattled after 80 rounds with the shotgun.  Yes, I know I'm being a baby.
  6.   Yeah, I think a swift kick to launch the dog across the alley would have taken care of it.  Most dogs will remember that.  The dog has probably been coddled all its life.
  7. I agree DMark.  I'm still new to this as well, but I am fortunate to have been shooting all my life so I feel my handling skills are more than up to par.  Personally, I'm looking to increase my gaming skills.   I 100% agree, all new shooters should be in a squad with a coach, and everything is off the clock.  Honestly, I was quite intimidated when I shot my first and second matches.  I would have much rather been off the clock and have someone lead me through, then provide feedback to the entire squad about what was good AND bad.    I know we always tell new people to not worry about time and be safe on their first match, but it's hard when you have a large squad or another squad waiting behind you.  People don't want to feel like they are holding up their group, much less the "competitors" behind them.
  8. Yeah, I can't stand those yuppies.  This line especially burns me up... "Pet owners in the area say they'll be extra careful from now on, not knowing whose dog may be next."   WTF, it's not like this guy goes around shooting dogs.
  9. Looks like lots o steel!  Are you going to swap some of those out for cardboard on the day of?    I'd like to shoot the match as well as the classifier.  Thanks for putting that out there as an option.   See you Saturday!
  10.   I haven't seen ammo there since December, but it's not the one I stop at in the mornings.
  11. I would have bought the ammo and then went right up and told the manager. This BS has to stop.
  12.   Sounds like an Obama voter...   Just razzin' ya!
  13.   Sorry, I wasn't suggesting someone should use one round or the other without checking with their firearm manufacturer, just why the Academy clerk thought they were the same.   You are right, there are definitely some rifles you SHOULD NOT mix these two cartridges in.       Edit: typo
  14.   I haven't experienced it directly, but regarding 7.62x51 versus .308, while they are technically different rounds, SAAMI considers it safe to interchange the two, so I'm sure that's why they guys at Academy said it was the same caliber.  Essentially it's the military version versus the commercial version.
  15. I thought you were gonna mow it when you hit the first 4 pieces.
  16.   I want a switchblade that makes the sound of a shotgun!  Idiot :puke:
  17. Are you going to post a COF for this?  I tried to find one on the Rio site without much luck.
  18. Jim shootin' the steel.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BkSQ_CMgLY&feature=youtu.be
  19. Jim, I have one of you shooting the steel that came out pretty cool.  I was recoding the vids last night when my PC crashed.  I'll try to get them up this week.
  20. Pure luck my friend.  I did do well with my no-shoot targets until our last stage.  Yeah, the one between the two poppers.  Missed the popper on the slice and center massed that guy.  I guess in my mind I figured that by the time we got to that stage he had already been bitten and needed to be put down.    In my split second of frustration I almost threw two more to him, but thought I'd let him go so we can have MORE ZOMBIES this fall!!!   We had an awesome time.  Can't wait to shoot with you guys again!
