  1. I was in the squad with Tim and Andy, and it was like getting a free match lesson to watch them setup their stage strategy.  Everything they do is precise and deliberate.   I had a great time.  This was my first Run 'N Gun and will definitely not be my last.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGQ9PqQxZFc
  2.   Unless you burn your house down with it :)
  3. I bet you can get some red aluminum grips for it.
  4. OMG, CZ Custom finally posted IN STOCK a 9mm Czech Mate Open Pistol. Just wish I had $3,000. http://czcustom.com/checkmatets.aspx
  5.   LOL, you just shot the wrong gun.  Glad to see you got rid of that Glock. :)   I'm going to get my vest done soon.

  7. I absolutely love the matches and try to hit as many as I can.  But I would love to have a place where I can go setup my plates and IDPA targets and burn 1,000 rounds on a Saturday without having to wait for "range is cold" to reset.
  8. I'd love to find one as well.  I want to go to a range and rent an action pit for the day.  I'll setup my steel and my targets, clear/reset my targets when I want, etc etc.  If such a place exists within an hour and a half of Nashville, please let me know.   Or if someone has some property and wants to setup a range, I'm game for that too.    I used to go to a range in KY that had a completely separate range "down the hill" away from the main range and you could reserve it if you had 8 or more shooters.  We would setup mini-steel and IDPA matches.
  9.   Out of curiosity I called this guy.  Seems nice enough.  I'm not saying he's not full of crap, but he says he's a shooter and has been collecting this ammo since Newtown.  Says he'd keep it all, but has a lawn mower business and needs to repair one of his machines.   Anyways, for what it's worth he selling everything for the ticket price on the receipt and the breakdown is:   1500 - 9mm 1500 - 40 1500 - 45 11 - 325 bricks of 22
  10. Find a friend with a membership at Gallatin Gun Club. Their range goes to 300.
  11.   Well crap.  If we're at the point we can't trust our politicians anymore then I'm moving to Mexico.   :hat:
  12.   I don't want to thread hijack, but could you give some examples of what you're looking for, or point me to some reading on it?
  13. I picked one up a few months back and it shoots great.  The double action isn't as smooth as my 586, but the single action is nice and crisp.  I bought a Wolf spring kit and plan to do a fluff and buff at some point and see if I can smooth out the DA.  It will probably never tough the slick DA of a 586, but should be good enough for IDPA.
  14. Now that Adot showed you how to do it, here is how not to do it.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSHy1PEKdO0&feature=youtu.be
  15. Ouch.  At least I was outside shooting guns with good people.    Some day Hognut...  some day ...  you will be mine!
  16. While the CZ 85 is a fine pistol, even with a trigger job, it's not a TS.
