My issue has always been, and always will be, folks who come here from up north and judge us by their standards with the expectation we should change. It would be ludicrous for folks from the south to do the same. I am not lumping you in that category, just enlightening you as to what gets us going. Other than that, joking around and stuff is always fine. I've just been around a lot of folks that are very serious about it. Makes me ask why they left the north in the first place.

in today's world it's very hard for me to take anything serious anymore. As much as you dont like being labeled neither do I. And your 100% right, if you move somewhere that is different from where you came from you should embrace it not try to Change it. I've been in tn for almost 18 yrs. Like I said I've never tried changing anything about it. I truly love it here. But the insults started flying about northerners and I responded. My apologies for offending you, I didnt mean to make it seem as if my first post was all towards you.

In addition, you took what I originally said to the extreme (suggesting my problems with northerners wanting to come here and change things was rooted in resentment for the abolition of slavery) and then mock me with the results of your wild exaggeration. It's damn silly.

Now, once again, I care not how folks do it up north. If I found myself in their frozen utopia I wouldn't complain to them about my lack of satisfaction with their ways. You see, in the south it's rude to come into another person's house and complain about the decor. Something which has been lost on so many people I've encountered from up there; and I've encountered a lot. It is annoying when people from up north make fun of people from the south for being ignorant and stupid. Even more annoying when they move here and say it. My in laws do it all the time and it drives me nuts. I'd be cool if folks from up north would keep their happy asses up there in their perfect Utopias. I like the Kroger in springfield. Its a really nice store and I like their meats. But I hardly ever go unless something in the flyer just really catches my eye. I stick with wally world and for meats I go to my local pleasant view h.g. hills. I go wherever the sale is lol.

I think that the old man is in deep trouble here as he started this altercation, left the theater, returned to his seat and restarted the argument and when it escalated he shot and killed the man. Way too many bad choices made here.

Those were my first thoughts about that little girl. I have a little girl and that hits home because it makes me think how fast some "asshat" can rob my family of a life. Over a damn cell phone. I got the flu shot every year I could remember up till I was 13. I also came down with the flu every year I could remember up till I was 13. After that I decided to tell my mother I wasn't getting a flu shot ever again. And no matter what doctors say or believe, I have only gotten the flu 1 time in the last 20 years. My wife just got over the flu last week and it lasted about 8 days. Fortunately I didn't catch it but I am more into natural type concoctions to stay healthy this time of year. The one thing in all my years I have found to never fail in helping get over colds or prevent respiratory sicknesses is raw garlic.Every day I take one garlic clove and mince it up and leave it sit for about 15 mins and then eat it raw. I won't lie ot taste like crap but its always worked for me.
