My notes from a funny (friendly) argument with an anti-gun.

During this discussion a number of members have expressed concern over being added to some list. I wonder what the TGO policy is with respect to giving out information to a government agency or a news outlet (using the freedom of information act)? I hope there has been some planning because it is likely to occur...evidence, the gun permit holders published in New York.

Three laws that would change Washington for the good.
RAJTENN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The founding fathers did not anticipate that the country would generate thousands upon thousands of "professional" politicians. We need term limits for all elected federal senators and congress persons...one - four year term (25% of them would be replaced every year). All elected officials would then know that after four years they would have to return to the live and work with the people who elected them...Oh, it might be nice to have all elected and appointed federal officials read the Constitution (then take a written exam to see if they understood the words therein). No special retirement benefits and no lobbing jobs for 5 years beyond their single four year term. Might even be a good idea to exclude anyone with a law degree from the House of Representatives...leave the Senate to the lawyers...this might create balance with the House generating commonsense legislation and the Senate making sure that the language of that legislation is Constitutionally correct. Require that all bills must remain singular in purpose, i.e., education bills contain only education related funding, military appropriations contain only military issues, etc. This might help reduce the PORK... -
I support the idea of passing down to my children a collection of guns that they may otherwise never enjoy. Keep your guns and pass them on.

I have bought guns, ammo and gear found on TGO...the transactions were FTF, they were successful and it was nice to meet other TGO members. This is a great place to find what you want. I have had a number of not so good transactions through other internet sites...lots of spam and fraud out there. Thanks TGO for a great site with great services.

Hopefully the Dems will add $30B of "PORK" to any gun or magazine ban and the Republicans will kill it.

I bought a gun that had a Vector 10-40X50 scope. No paperwork with the scope and I have ordered a manual. Anyone out there have any experience with Vector scopes...they appear to be on the low end of the price range and they claim to be American made. Opinions appreciated.

Never heard bad things about Harris bipods...have heard lots of grief with lesser known brands. I have used a Harris on a 338 (lots of stress and no issues) for two years and lots of bench shooting.

I signed it but I doubt that the big-O will do anything more than inviting Mr. Morgan to the next White House supper.

Is there anyone with personal experience with the Beretta Nano? I would appreciate your input and opinions.

Taking a look at the accessory marketplace, it appears that there is a greater choice of accessories and extras for namebrand A10s than M1As. From my own experience I would take the A10 for shots beyound 300 yards. I am concerned about the stigma toward any tactical appearing rifle...hope this doesn't last.
