Welcome to TGO. My folks lived on Indian Lake Road for many years. Advice. Buy a large gun safe and tell the wife you need to fill it with guns in order to recoup your investment.

Looks like Magpul will be moving

I'm buying a Magpul PRS...as soon as it is stamped "Made in Texas" or anywhere else but CO. -
What is your 308 168g SMK Long Range Accurate Reload?Help
RAJTENN replied to lshel's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
For me the best book for reloading when your dealing with multiple calibers is Hornady Reloading Handbook 7th Edition [Hardcover]. $45 from Amazon. -
I talked to a guy in Henderson NC and he said that we had the best forum on the web. Welcome to America's soap box.

At the present you can still buy plenty of ammo for not much money...let us hope that the Feds don't outlaw air, springs or CO2. By the way, after 6 months the squirrels in my yard are no more!

Go on line and look at Maryville...it has been growing and the job market is active. Great schools and nice place to live.

Move to Gatlinburg where they take kids to a gun safety class and they are allowed to shoot a rifle, shotgun and hand gun. It is wher my daughter discovered trap shooting...and, years later, made it to the nationals.

Great letter. Send a copy to you state representative and see if the State will contact Magpul and offer incentives to relocate here.

Senators seek back room deal on firearm background checks

What they are doing behind cloed doors will likely result in a repeat of the Nancy Pelosi statement on the health care bill, "We have to pass the bill so we can find out what is in it". I see the opportunity for more of this type of political activity in our future. -
What a beautiful machine!

Welcome, I have conducted a number of transactions with East TN TGO members and all were good.

I would blur the serial number during future posts.

What is reasonable for a hunter might not be reasonable for a target shooter...what is reasonable for a antique gun collector might not be reasonable for someone who likes to build custom guns...and so on. What is reasonable to me is not reasonable for others and when you leave it up to the lawyer/politicians to define reasonable you are at risk. The proposed bill says "locked in a safe"...try and define what is a "reasonable safe"...good luck. The Second Amendment said nothing with respect to the term "reasonable" and I don't think we want to go there.

Nice work, hope we can continue to obtain the parts to build more.

Welcome to America! Maryville is a great place with super schools.

Thanks to all of you for the opinions...I appreciate the time taken to reply. Likely will take your recommendations to stay away from the SOB carry.

Judge Napolitano nails Obama on Constitution
RAJTENN replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You go Judge! -
Today, with respect to a line item in ObamaCare, I heard a talking head say "the devil is in the details" with respect to the fact that federal employees have already written over 18,000 pages of instructions and implementing definitions in order to (understand and apply?) the bill passed by congress. While the list of Obama gun control items covers but a few pages...just wait and see what happens if even one of these items makes it into law.

Here are the specs: - Glock 27 with crimson trace trigger guard - I am a fairly big man and want to carry in the small of my back (I have tucked the pistol in my waistband in the small of my back without discomfort) - I think inside the pants is more secure - I am right handed and I think a left handed holster would work for a right handed draw With lots of products out there I would rather not experiment too much...so your recommendations will be appreciated and given due consideration. Thanks in advance for your input.

Just wait, the list of things illegal will continue to grow...fairly soon we might see things like .223, .308, .338 and 50 cal and anything that uses them added to their list. I wonder just how many people were killed with an armor-piercing round last year? This was one that I had not seen on O's list.

Check out Mega Arms...They make a Mega MaTen (upper and matched lower) in 308 that is a quality product.

I think the Squirrels know that Deer Season is over :)
RAJTENN replied to EastHipster's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Come by my place in Gatlinburg and I'll give you a cup of coffee for each squirrel you bag...problem, I'm in the city limits so you will be limited in your choice of weapons. -
