  1. There is also a redundant lock available for around $200 that features both a manual dial and an electronic keypad. You can use the elock for day to day use and the dial if the elock were to fail. We can usually swap this one with most factory installed locks. Also, if you ever find yourself locked out of a safe of any type, we offer professional safecracking services for residential and commercial safes and vault doors AND when we're done, the safe is still serviceable and there's virtually no sign that it was cracked.
  2. I'm in Shelbyville, TN near the airport off of Hwy. 231. 164 Cessna Lane  I do all my deliveries personally so please give me a ring before you head this way! Thanks
  3. That's funny. Maybe I'll take a writing class... Thanks for making laugh!
  4. Once upon a time, two bad guys came in to your home while you were away. They were ready to steal all your cool stuff. Unfortunately for them, your valuables were locked up in a quality safe purchased from and installed by Parker's Safes and Vaults. They found your safe and began attacking it with pry bars and hammers. They quickly determined that your safe wasn't like the common imported safes. Bad guy #1 said, "Let's just take the whole safe with us and cut it open in my garage!" Bad guy #2 said, "Heck yeah!" They tried moving it, but it wouldn't budge because it was properly anchored to your floor. Then they got mad. They beat on the safe and used crowbars to pry around the door. They couldn't get in, but made a real mess of your safe. All the paint around the door was chipped and the lock was busted. They ran out of time so they grabbed your toaster on the way out of your house and fled. You came home, and immediately noticed that your toaster was missing. "Oh no, what about the safe?" you said. A quick look and you saw that it was intact but damaged. You called the police and filed a report. Then you called Parker's Safes. Great news! Your safe is covered under the manufacturers warranty and you'll be getting a new safe! And you lived happily ever after... I know, I probably shouldn't quit my day job and become a writer. Fortunately for you though, my day job is selling and delivering safes and vault doors! If you'd like a quality safe to protect what you treasure, call Aaron with Parker's Safes and Vaults. We'll help you find the safe that best meets your needs and budget, bring it to you and install it discretely and anchor it down for you. And if you're ever in the situation where you need to file a warranty claim, we'll help you with that. Parker's Safes and Vaults- "Providing Peace of Mind since 2009!"
  5. Thank you very much for the feedback! I added a mobile app so hopefully that helps some.    Can't figure out what the string of command codes would have been and I can't seem to replicate it. The CLICK button just shrinks when I submit my site. Its seems to be a problem with the host but I'll work on it. As for prices- I completely understand your frustration. As a home-based dealer with little to no overhead, I have found that posting prices that are well under the manufacture's suggested retail price seem to put me at odds with other dealers and the manufacturer and creates a price war that just gets silly. The lowest price soon equals the lowest customer service and is then followed by a 'Going out of Business' sale. I would also rather someone give me a call to discuss their safe needs. Often I find folks basing their entire purchase solely on price. Sometimes, with just a few questions regarding what they're really asking a safe to do, we can find a safe that best suits their particular safe needs and still meet their budget. I am re-evaluating my thoughts though as they relate to posting prices because in the long run I'd rather frustrate my competition than a potential customer.  Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate them.
  6. Any safe is better than no safe! Seems like a good deal if that's what your budget allows. I would recommend bolting it to the floor. Usually there are 4 pre-drilled holes in the bottom. Just get it level and then pre-drill right through those holes. Anchoring your safe adds another layer of security. I bolt down even really heavy safes because; If I can bring them in, a bad guy or two can take them out. Anchoring is pretty simple and you'll be glad you did it. If you have any questions, you can reach me at through the info below.
  7. Welcome to Tennessee! Where at in Michigan? I used to fish the AuSable River near Grayling
  8. Greetings from PARKER'S SAFES AND VAULTS!  I've been working on a new website. It's still in progress, but I'd welcome any criticism (hopefully constructive! ha!) or feedback from fellow members.  http://www.parkerssafesandvaults.com   Parker's Safes and Vaults is a veteran-owned, family-run, home-based business. We offer quality safes, vault doors, and storm shelters and provide discrete and professional delivery and installation. Our main lines consist of SUPERIOR, CHAMPION and AMERICAN SECURITY brand safes. We also sell in-floor safes, wall safes, pistol safes, document safes, media safes, secure file storage, cash deposit safes, and hotel safes.   If you happen to be in the market for a quality safe at a fair price and think we can be of service, Give Aaron a call at 931.842-6445   Thanks for having a look!
  9. av88tor is correct. Champion and Superior do build their lower end safes in Mexico. They use U.S. STEEL and make a good product but they are manufactured in Nogales, Mexico. Basically if there's an "M" in the serial number, it's from Mexico. I wish they were all U.S. made but after many competing safe companies started manufacturing safes in China, Champion and Superior went to Mexico. My prices are consistantly fair but they can indeed be matched or beat. Value and price are different. I make a lot of friends selling safes. I've had a lot of jobs over the years, military, law enforcement, construction, park ranger and others but none compare to what I do now. I have more fun selling safes and meeting the people who buy them than I could have imagined when I got into this business. The people that buy quality safes are of a unique caliber. They are almost always good folks. I do my best to get to know them and figure out their particular safe needs. By the time we're done talking safes, we've usually esablished a lot of common ground relating to God, guns, family and country. Friendships are established. If you're after the cheapest safe, there are many other places to buy. To us at Parker's Safes and Vaults, prices are important, but quality and lasting value matter more.
  10. I may be a little biased, but I agree that a $400 safe won't do much to protect your valuables. Safes in this price range are usually lightwieght, China made boxes with little  real fire or theft protection. However, if that's all you can afford, then go ahead. I believe that it will atleast keep your firearms out of the hands of kids and maybe even a few less dedicated snatch and grab thieves. As gun owners, we have an obligation to secure our weapons. A $400 safe will at the very least show that you attempted to secure your guns. If this is your only option, I would recommend bolting it to the floor. A lightwieght safe that is not bolted down is nothing more than a convenient box for the bad guys to carry your stuff out in. I'm not a big guy, but I have single-handedly moved a lot of big, heavy safes. If I can do it, so can the bad guys. If the bad guys have any gumption at all, they can load a safe into the back of a truck in just a few minutes. For what it's worth, my advice on buying a safe is to get the heaviest one you can afford, have it delivered discretely, place it in an area where it's not easily seen, don't make a habit of showing off, and bolt it down.   Some other considerations would be how the safe is constructed... -I like a solid plate steel door- not a composite door. Although a composite door appears thick, it's usually just 2 layers of thin      guage steel sandwiched around a layer of fire wall. As consumers, we're supposed to open the door and be awed by the door thickness. In reality, those doors have very little steel in them. -Check for a reinforced or plate steel door perimeter. If you reach inside the safe along the body where the door meets and feel a raw edge of thin steel, you have a cheap safe. This is a vulnerable area on many safes and the bad guys know they can pry into the safe using the door as a pry point. They don't really pry the door off but rather pry the body away from the door, the end result is the same. -Check the fire rating tag. There should be 3 numbers associated with the rating. The temperature of the test, the duration of the test AND the internal temperature of the safe during the test. Many companies leave this last number off but, in my opionion, it's the most important number.    For some more info, you can check out the video page on my website at www.parkerssafesandvaults.com There you'll see guys breeching a safe without a reinforced door perimeter. You can also check out a safe made by Superior that's my top selling safe and an impressive safe for the money.
  11. Check out FarmTek. They sell nipples that you can install in pvc pipe or the bottom of a bucket. These are great for watering your chickens as they just peck at them and get their water. These are better than a bowl since chickens seem to enjoy relieving themselves in the bowl of water. Freezing is the only drawback I have found. They are cheap and you can run as many as needed in a line of pvc pipe gravity fed from a 5 gal bucket. www.farmtec.com
  12. Here's one I learned and used in Canada. You can use a folding knife in a side cut manner by partially closing the blade and putting what you want to clip between the blade and the handle. Then you just grab both the handle and the back of the blade with your hand and squeeze. With this process, you can easily prune branches, clip off small game apendages, etc.
  13. Hi there. Just a little clarification. Champion and Superior make all of their mid to upper end safes in Provo, Utah. They do manufacture some in Mexico. Specifically speaking, the Crown and Triumph Series from the Champion line and the Master, Superior, Ironside, and Untouchable from Superior are all made in the U.S.A.,while the remaining safes from either company are made in Nogales, Mexico. It disappoints me that they're made in Mexico but it's still a far cry better than China. They are both good companies with years of experience designing and producing quality safes. The owner originally started both Fort Knox NS liberty Safe Companies. Thank you for the plug by the way! It's very much appreciated.
