FN 503 slide stop has a little tab on top that will break under certain conditions.Notified FN, great cust svc, replacement enroute in 2 days. The slidestop needs to be removed for takedown for internal cleaning etc.Im not cleaning it anymore. Bore snake only through barrel until further notice or im bored. great lil edc anyway love it! have to rotate the slidestop to 12 o'clock to get it to go in w ease i did rtfm, lil booger still popped..it may not happen for 100 years or cleanings but, fn has great cust svc double thumbs up

Dumb question but did you make sure the gas rings are all spaced apart evenly? The gas wings are like little piston rings there is a gap on each ring make sure they are all equidistant from each other say one gap is it 12 o’clock one gap at 4 o’clock one gap at 8 o’clock see if that helps. Also if it’s feeding correctly and firing fine, I wouldn’t fix it till it’s broke. The ammo you’re running me be a little bit different than the first batch u ran…
