HD Power Over Ethernet Surveillance Setup
Dustbuster replied to lunarpowered's topic in General Chat
Most DVR's have a network card,so those that do can hit the net. Wireless stuff works. Usually you can run 4 channels w minimal interference, over a short distance. Wireless isn't the most secure method to use, again more money for encryption transmitters and receivers. Wifi can be ok but now you're hogging bandwidth and if you're storing to a Ddns or outside server more crap to deal with. Hard wire is and has been the optimal method as there's minimal issues. I've used transmitters and receivers worth megabucks and we still have the same problems as one would have using low quality gear.fear radio not copper. I've got gear that's been running for almost 10 years w no issues. Analog cams on rg59 Siamese coax running to DVR's w net cards piped to Ddns servers for offsite access. Simple cheap and still working. Super circuits has some basic tutorials as well as dept of justice. In the end u have to know what u need to see, how you're going to see it, what quality of image u want, how it will be stored, retrieved , and presented and viewed when needed. 2 things not to skimp on are cams and DVR, also use a ups so a lightning shot won't kill the system, and make sure you're stuff is properly grounded or you'll be chasing gremlins and replacing stuff which could have been prevented ...there's the video time tip for the day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling. -

HD Power Over Ethernet Surveillance Setup

100 yards indoors or out? You might save a little on cable but may end up with loss in signal quality and other issues in the long tun over time w cat 5 You can run power and video through cat 5 I just wouldn't use the std POE setup everyone is pushing today. You can run analog video and power 750 feet w no loss without having to use an amplifier or switches and hubs on coax. Can save some money Also using cat 5 without switches and hubs and overpriced power supplies in the std Poe configuration is possible W Poe u have to add switches poe power supplies likely use a hybrid dvr and terminate each end w an rj 45 connection very time consuming if you want hit me off list w how many cams u want to run ,specify indoor or outdoor and I can flip vendor info and pricing back using cat 5 and coax for you if that'll help! Was at the range today. Last time I worked my 516 all was smooth as glass. Was shooting umc 55 grain life was good. Grabbed a new box of 62 grain 556 green tip by accident. After 200 rounds the rifle started doing a double tap after every 5 or 6 rounds. What a ahitty feeling. After the 3 rd time of this happening, I did an lti, cleaned the bolt piston, gas plug, went through everything, looked at the primers good to go. Reloaded 3 rounds fine then a double tap. Put it away and left for the house. Not wanting to fix something till its broke, I broke it out again pissed thinking your going back to sig bastard... On the left side the most forward pin holding the hammer walked itself out if the hole to where the hammer had enough slop to be labeled as the cause. I put the pin back in place all good cept the trigger feels like crap all gritty and nasty. Anyhow I guess I'll call sig on Monday to check on this and consider another hiperfire and pins I can safety wire. I knew about triple tap drama at other locations and thought this may have been heading that way...luckily it didn't Moral of this post if your ar starts doing a double tap on its own check your triggers hammer pins along with the other usual suspects.. HD Power Over Ethernet Surveillance Setup

Going POE is a waste unless your using more than 8 cameras alongside of an existing network Ever focus DVR's work well, I've used many of them. It's more cost effective to pull rg59 Siamese cable and use analog cameras to make your system cost effective. Right now 700 line domes w IR illumination for night use are under 150.00 each, one can get into a 4 or 8 channel DVR for under 500.00 . Avoid SAMs and Costco junk if your semi serious about video surveillance. If you have money to burn you can go w full blown system using Poe and megapixel cameras but at the end of the day it's all about what you want to see and image quality. Video over twisted pair is ok but still requires tweaking and money spent to produce a good end product. If anyone needs help w this run it past me we deal w this everyday. Also check out unix CCTV and eastern CCTV online to get an idea of what's available. Lotsa stuff out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling. -
Due to astronomical operating costs AF One has been grounded. Obama is doing all he can to operate at a fraction of the cost as an incentive to all taxpayers. This includes making use of ground transportation for staff aNd guests Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

Silencers Loophole Targeted for Closure (Trust)
Dustbuster replied to JohnC's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
More illegitimate laws to punish the already law abiding. If people were interested in committing crimes with suppressor they surely wouldn't buy a trust and wait 6-12 months for a suppressor. :puke:
Most thugs wouldn't spend the money on em,or risk fed time getting caught w one in a bad way. I've heard the trust kill debate before hopefully its just talk. If they pass a law that says its a felony to teach someone's whose mentally ill to use a firearm, ill live w the no gun trust issue...maybe... If your talking bout the hiperfire ar triggers I have one, its built nice, smooth, hard strike crisp short pull great for the range or competition only IMHO. I looked at 3 diff hiperfire ar setups at rock castle this year after spending 30 mins working their demo triggers in the display guns,I grabbed an ar 24 w spring kit. They back it up 100% w lifetime warranty, price is same as most if the other mainstream triggers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

Good question. They both get the job done, the sigs cost more. U can buy used sigs for a lil more or same as a new glock. I prefer the sigs for ruggedness, trigger action, and comfort. Try both and make your own decision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

I got bit by a recluse @ 10 yrs ago,i have zero love for them but i like the rest in the sense that they kill and eat crud i don't want to deal with.the writing spiders are fun to watch and feed. The big grapefruit sized things is where it ends for me,...........

All fun aside I put a hiperfire trigger in a rec 7 its crisp and smooth. It's @ 200.00 and fells pretty darn good even though the stock Barrett setup was nice. After I felt this one I had to have it. The design is strong and rugged. Am happy with it, although it is a competition trigger, and wouldn't use it for hunting or plinking. What does an obamaphone look like??
Dustbuster replied to Dustbuster's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well the Kyocera has icons that say find a friend suitcase means go on a free trip, get money and the wrench is what u push to get out of a jam. Or get obamacare for your car.Although I would say the conspiracy gang would think when the globe button is pushed Obama gets another vote .the mail button must mean send money to this new address, or send free stamps to the user. Does Nashville PD have a digital investigations group?
Dustbuster replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
MNPD has tech guys that run phones. I don't know if they're processing HDD'S anymore as there was evidence issues a few years back.they do have/had a computer forensics lab that does work to a degree. A lot of major cases go to TBI on DA request or if the case was bound by the grand jury it will go to the TBI as you well know forensics is very time consuming where many agencies can't allocate people to do nothing but drives due to cost and manpower.. If you need some help mssg me off list I can get you a good poc to help if you need it. Logic force does crim defense work and civil work. Good guys.
