  1. just read this, pretty bad;  California Dept of Justice Gun Confiscation Program They don't give prior notice. The armed teams show up, usually at night, and demand that you either let them search your property or voluntarily relinquish all of your firearms. Be sure to read all of the following. NRA Legislative Alert below and PLEASE take the time to view each video AND PASS IT ON! Local Law Enforcement in the City of Los Angeles and Orange County have agreed to enforce Gun Confiscation (APPS - Armed Prohibited Persons System<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/32299/9/> )for the California Department of Justice. From: NRA West LA MembersCcouncil [mailto:nramcwla@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, January 27, 2014 12:19 PM To: NRA Members Council WLA Subject: RE: NRA-ILA California Alert! These raids are typically conducted without search warrants. Be prepared! While these raids are promoted by politicians as intended to disarm dangerous criminals, they actually more often target unsuspecting citizens who present no danger and have no idea that they are prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition. Watch this video<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/32300/10/> for background on APPS¹s shortcomings and injustices, and this revealing video<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/32301/11/> in review of a former DOJ Special Agent who formerly conducted APPS raids. For an overview of how these confiscations are conducted, and information about your rights when subjected to one, read this memorandum<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/32302/12/>. If you are uncertain if you are prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition, check your eligibility by submitting a Personal Firearms Eligibility Check<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/32303/13/> application to the California Department of Justice. If you are prohibited from possessing firearms, contact an attorney to discuss how best to restore your rights and comply with the law. If law enforcement shows up at your home asking about firearms: * Don¹t talk! Officers are trained to get people to make statements that provide ³probable cause² to search and seize. Try not to even open the door. Do not step outside your door or allow or invite officers into your home, car, garage or any other building that you inhabit or in which you have property. No search warrant - no entry. You do not have to physically resist them They ruin their case if they violate law themselves such as forcing entry (without a search or arrest warrant). Instead, provide the officers with this flyer<http://www.nramedia.org/t/2373564/99119954/28215/14/>, or tell the officers that you assert your right to remain silent and want to have an attorney present (actually say those words). * Do NOT ³consent² to a search of your person, possessions, or home. Insist on a search warrant. If they don¹t have a warrant, refuse the search entirely and close the door. * Consult a criminal defense lawyer immediately. You might not find it necessary to retain a lawyer, but a half hour interview with one can often be helpful. The actual retention of a criminal defense lawyer can be very expensive. Confirm whether you may legally possess firearms and learn your rights! Don¹t take the rap for APPS! Note: Some other states have taken note of California's firearm seizure teams and are looking into whether they want to do the same kind of program. Beware.
  2.   Man you hit the nail on the head, what they don't realize is what the judge's think when they stand there w pants on the ground wearing pie plate grills over their teeth and hood emblems around their necks,it really makes them look credible, innocent and worthy of a second chance.......if they dressed like they're going to church ......
  3. just found one at brownells for 46.00 back in stock! Thanks guys!!
  4. comcast has been having issues in middle tn. when theyre on theyre on, when theyre off it just sucks...
  5. Anyone know what the cost is to operate a predator not including the initial cost of the drone??
  6. Understood, contrary to popular belief there's a lot of hoops to jump through for any non mil agency attempting to get outside tech support for everything from kidnapping to hazmat issues. I think its great if an agency can retask a drone to support a criminal investigation. I just hope that it's done properly where it's useful and black and white criteria is established. On another note I would hope a little Podunk cattle farmer and his local pd would have access to drone use as the big rich rancher does.. 7. Not at all. I'm with you,Imaging is worth a million words. As is a witness that corroborates the imaging with their own account. It's how it was acquired that that's will be argued.Someone can likely id a field of pot w today's hi res imaging remotely and start the warrant process. There was a case not too long ago where a plane flew over a house suspected of growing pot. The plane was using IR. The IR showed what was believed to be an indoor grow, BUT it also showed 2 bodies/the homeowner and his wife sleeping in their beds at the time of the flyover. The court dismissed the case because the homeowners rights were violated.they had a reasonable expectation of privacy in their home regardless of what the plane was really looking for. Imaging of them sleeping pissed off the judge and demonstrated the couple was violated as their rights were violated. There's going to be a lot of issues with drones in the future especially when the lawyers start demanding testimony and start grilling the drone operators. Look up curtilage, interesting reading regarding privacy. Also kinda interesting that anyone could access a drone for cattle rustling crimes.. 8. In a manned heli you can get the pilot and anyone on board to testify. W a drone you would need to get the operator w saved imaging to do the same..curtilage doesn't apply to anyone flying over a property. However using thermal imaging to show what's inside of a home has been subject to scrutiny w cases being tossed because of the intrusion upon privacy. 9. There's a co out of Dallas tx that used to do a bang up job of yanking platters out of HDD'S and running complete recoveries. Used em about 4 yrs ago. They perform forensic work as well as reconstruction. I'll see if I can get their info if it won't come up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  10. Haha great news agreed!! Hopefully others will follow suit. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Gun company Beretta USA will build a manufacturing facility in Sumner County, bringing at least 300 jobs. Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam announced the $45-million investment on Wednesday morning at a press conference at the Old Supreme Court Chamber at the State Capitol. The company will building the state-of-the-art firearms manufacturing and RND facility at the Gallatin Industrial Park.

  15. I had a membership there place looked secure but anyplace is only as secure as the last one leaving. Nice folks, never had an outrageous selection but had enough. It's a family business so I dunno about inside job. I will say this;too many shops getting hit and I'd bet its a group ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  16. I always strive for common sense. For an officer working patrol there are reasons for getting on a vehicles ass. It's not a power thing, it's a work thing. Is it right or wrong ? you and I don't know we're not there. There's policy for cops exceeding speed limits and call response procedure w regard to lights siren etc. that's not what the post is about. The op had a cop on his ass for a while. If it bothers him and or he's not sure it's a cop he should consider calling 911 and or pull over at a safe location. That's using common sense. Even my kids know that ... Guys that work the road are human like anyone else.anyone can be a douchebag. The op asked if it was good to brake check the cop. Probably not a good idea if the cop was on his ass for what he estimated at 4 miles. On a side note if he did brake check the cop,and there was a fatality, and or serious injury because of it,the scene and vehicles would be inspected w vehicles taken off site pending investigation ie impounded. No jackboot crap it's called processing an accident. Nothing here to walk back on. I don't condone anyone driving like an ass gov employee or not.but I don't suggest trying to stop a train by getting in front of it ....common sense... 18. Great thread; I loved watching John Wayne flicks w my dad. Kudos to the duke for trying. When we were kids playing cowboys n Indians there was always a fight over who got to be "the duke". The guys listed above were all great role models and tough guys displaying character and respect. Thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  19. Just got it back from recall work. I like it for a lot of reasons.put a bunch of rounds through it.bonded with it,then got disgusted with the mystery recall which became clear after the dust settled. I expected Springfield to rigorously test to incite an accidental discharge, they didn't do a good job IMHO. If it was a 30 day fix i wouldn't gripe but 4 mos was excessive. Already had the extended mags and a chamber flag. When all is said and done ill go out and run a bunch of ammo through it again to rebuild my confidence in it. The best way to describe it is; it's like I was dating a nice beautiful girl and enjoying our relationship, she disappears for a month and an 45 yr old tuned up, battle ready stripper steps in to replace her... They're both hot but ya don't know what the older ones really been through... Someone might say just go buy another non Springfield pistol, I needed the smallest compact striker fire for a specific reason. Would I buy it again if I had to? Yes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  20. There's a load of reasons for an officer to be on your behind. If ya don't like it, just pull in somewhere safe and go about your business. Using a switch,or brake checking a patrol car isn't too smart. Your car may end up impounded pending investigation. If you're not sure what to do,call 911 and use common sense....
  21. Ammo stalkers puttin dirty asses on new chairs roflmao!!! Good one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

  24. You mean you don't wanna see yoko get album of the year or watch Kanye drop his drawers and dump on the floor when Taylor wins album again??? Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
