This is just too cool, out of my price range, but as soon as i hit the lottery........... http://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/top-five-shot-show-highlights/ Coolest New Thing I’ll Never Own Award: TrackingPoint XS1 Precision Guided Firearm System TrackingPoint is a company that’s been in the news a lot over the last year because they make the kind of awesome product the media just loves to hate. The TrackingPoint smart rifle is probably the coolest technology I’ve ever seen, but it terrifies a lot of people because it combines two of our society’s most irrational fears; guns and computers. Basically, the TrackingPoint system takes all of the opportunity for human error out of long range shooting. A computer in the scope tells you where to point the rifle and then fires for you when it’s in just the right spot. TrackingPoint has a ton of excellent and informative videos about their technology on YouTube, but here’s the basic layman’s breakdown of how it works: Aim the reticle where you want the bullet to go. Press the red button mounted on the front of the trigger guard to “tag†the target. A red dot appears on your target. The TrackingPoint scope does things with math and lasers and stuff. Almost immediately, the reticle moves to adjust for bullet drop, wind, incline, movement, and other science stuff I don’t understand. Move the rifle until the reticle is close to your tagged target again. Press and hold the trigger. The reticle turns red. The instant you move the rifle so the center of the reticle meets the tag, the electronic trigger is activated and the trigger fires. Congratulations! You are now a marksman! A representative from TrackingPoint walked me through the above steps at demo day at SHOT Show. With the .300 Win Mag bolt gun they had the TrackingPoint rig mounted to, I was able to nail a steel target at 960 yards away. That’s despite high wind, a bullet drop of nearly 20 feet, and my never having fired a rifle at anything even remotely close to that range before. Everything I was seeing through the scope was simultaneously beamed to an iPad, so we caught the whole thing on camera:

One of my kids got me this. It's larger in size than most but is also different than any challenge coin I've ever had. Money is donated to the Mike Murphy foundation. Even the postage had his image on it. Kind of cool. Figured I'd post it for the group. They sell them for 20 bucks on his foundation site. That's not good, at least they're on someone's radar. Kudos for going to court to help stop the problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

I'll get it when someone actually gets locked up for flying a toy quad copter in public airspace. Until that point all I have seen is a lot of skepticism and tendency towards violent behavior similar to the old New England witch hunts.... No one said anything about a peeping tom. No one posted or reported a good physical description of this felony drone in action. I've flown rc aircraft long before the contractors were hanging around rc flying fields in calif stealing ideas for what's in use in unmanned craft today. Shooting anything in a small neighborhood that scares someone that isn't in a life threatening situation, is a bad idea, and irresponsible. A hobby quad isn't life threatening. Guys used to lose rc planes when they had radio gear failures, an untrained eye would call it in as an airliner crash when they saw it going in. If your worried about anyone looking into your home, Close your shades. A complete stranger can stand on a sidewalk or street and shoot video of what they can see from that spot all day long without infringing on someone's curtilage. I think the story is funny as hell but sadly reminds me of when kids playing with firecrackers are called in as a drive by shooting with machine guns is happening now! To 911.... 8 year old kids fly these little electric quads like they're nothing, they're toys per my reference to age. Most adults would likely have a large more capable device at a designated flying field instead of a small neighborhood.. To quote a former president of the tn trial lawyers : Ignorance of the law is not a good defense but you best show me the law that says you can't. When you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras.... After reading the article and now the Facebook page,I think its funny as hell, these people are In an uproar over something they don't understand. The corvette driver was probably sneaking away from his girlfriends house and the mayor says well call our lawyers on this!!! Roflmao... And people claiming that's my airspace!!!! If Voldemort reads this there's a 4th amendment issue he's sure to win with his hobby quad copter..... As long as he doesn't bring a gun..,I can just see the kaos. This is a real life south park episode unbelievable !! On the proper side no active rc modeler would do this in a neighborhood. AMA insurance doesn't cover them. A real roofing co would get physically on the roof as pictures or video won't show everything they need without human interaction. I say kid w a toy or curious boyfriend checking on his gf in a perverse manner...tn does have Peeping tom law TETENN. CODE ANN. § 39-13-605 (2007) UNLAWFUL PHOTOGRAPHING IN VIOLATION OF PRIVACY Tenn. I'm not a fan of TSA efficiency,or their equipment, but hate to admit they're a necessary speed Bump in air travel. It's easier to check a firearm at the tick counter than going through TSA. paying the 85 for pre pass is a great investment, but unfortunately someone still has to watch the gates. bad guys stupid people and inexperienced travelers will always be here.If not TSA Who will run the idiot check?wackenhut,Wells Fargo ?or some other co w min wage employees showing up half loaded. doped up hungover etc.. The no fly list is another joke. I hate hearing about seniors and handicapped getting hassled by TSA in a ridiculous manner but ie grandmas and kids do show up w leaking drinks and other items that can react with volatile lithium polymer batteries in her mini photo viewer or I pad loaded in the carry on or other objects, I've seen what those batteries do when they go off. (That's why I carry my cell phone and don't carry it in a pants pocket.) Or when a passenger w a pressurized. canister of anything from mace to hairspray accidentally discharges in the cabin at 30k feet because no one told them not allowed then what? An Israeli General once said the only way to have safe air travel was to cuff the passengers to their seats. I have to agree. TSA now gets swamped cause the airlines started this charge for checked bags crap that is now the reason people walk on w 100 lbs of nuisance luggage loaded w half of cvs and weight sets instead of checking it. I think it would be great to limit people to a smaller carry on and force them to check luggage for free. TSA should and could focus on the usual contraband and intended mission instead of playing hide n seek w passengers that are too cheap to check a bag and ignorantly refuse to read what came w their ticket telling them what's not allowed in the cabin. I'll never forget how handfuls of turds took over planes w box cutters and entry level flying lessons....at least now the cockpits are tighter and passengers only have to be concerned with other passengers... I hear ya, next event I go to I'll ask one of the beretta guys. I guess we'd both be pissed if they told us 50% china, 40% Pakistan w final assbly in the us lol.... I think the Maryland thing just tells the products importer. The paperwork w the gun was in English and Italian. The manual was worse than a Shoneys placemat but once u match the picture w the number it all works out. Def made in Italy, all good though works great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

When beretta released the 1301 competition shotgun, some folks didn't know why it didn't come from the factory w a 10 round tube. Everything else was ready to go for competition except for that one little detail. Answer was it couldn't be imported w a 10 round tube.... Id bet they do whatever is logistically feasible, be interesting to see no doubt.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
