1. This is my families land and its right in the middle of it. No where near a property line . So there shouldn't be any confusion on the theives side as to weather or not its on his side or ours. Just assholes.
2. Thieves , really low down thieves when they steal your bolts in your tree stand and replace them with sticks ! Look at this where they took out my quick release bolts and replaced them with sticks ! Good thing I saw this before I tried to climb it . I may have broke a bone or worse , my NECK ! I would put up a camera but I'm afraid they'd steal it too .
3. Oh I am SURE that you are jealous . HAHA Man that is so neat to have an original that old !
4. WOW , I just went to a few and Holy Moses !!!!! They are selling used guns higher than new guns at the gun shops  I remember just 10 yrs ago you could get a good deal but Holy crap !!!!
5. Ahhh I have a soft spot for the Cougar in .45ACP
6. Here are the most reliable 45's I know and have . They are tanks and work like a fine sewing machine. These are carry/working guns and get used everyday. No safe queens here ! Springfield Armory Mil-Spec Glock Generation 2 21 Ruger P97DC
7. I hear Dave Ramsey endorsing Berry's Pawn Shop alot on the radio .
8. Any good Pawn Shops with good variety of guns in Nashville area and surrounding middle Tn area ? I haven't been to many in Nashville and was wanting to know where to look.  With good brands like Ruger , S&W , Glock and not the cheap pot-metal junk .
9. Everything works fine right now. It pierces the primers at a pretty good depth and reliably. I just now found out about the titanium firing pin. WOW . Didn't know that. I can see now why they need a spring to push it that hard since it's so light.
10.   EXACTLY ! Plus I love your comment
11. I just removed the ILS (the stupid new key lock safety) and the mainspring housing on my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 and put in a regular mainspring housing and regular weight 23lb spring.  I once read that Springfield uses an extra heavy firing pin spring and this it is really too strong and could cause light primer strikes.  Is this true and if it is stronger than the "normal" 1911 specs , what weight of spring would I need to bring it up to "normal" standards ?
12. Because thats what I like   no particulair reason . I may give the GP100 a thought too. I'll look into that today .
13. Looking at which of these two would you guys choose and why ? 1. Springfield Armory 1911 .45acp plain jane version , like a Mil-Spec with no bells nor whistles                                                                                                          2. Ruger SP101 .357mag   I sacrificed two of my polymer guns to get the funds to get a good ole metal pistol for me and my son to shoot and last a lifetime. I narrowed it down to these two. I have owned them both in the past and both are built like a brick $hit house and tough as nails. Plus both are designs that go way back in time . The 1911 is over 100 years old and the revolver goes even further back , so both are proven designs still used today. I am presently reloading so these two will even support that hobby well. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and have watched the polymer/plastic guns arrive and I like them but I just want a good ole metal tank. So which one of the two I mentioned and why ? Thanks for the information .
14. Thanks guys. I went with the Gen 4 27. So far its really nice. And Cruel Hnad Luke , that is an awesome bunch of information. I didn't pay attention that much when all the crap was going on at first about the gen 4's when they first came out.  As far as the wear on the older Gen 2 22's and 23's , is the reason for the wear spots about midways in the slide rails because they use the same recoil spring as the 9mm ?
15. Good to hear all the positive . Keep the information coming.
16. Which of the Glock Gen 4 pistols seem to have a pretty good track record and which Gen 4 has an awefull track record . Now that the Gen 4 flaws or mishaps have almost gone I was wondering which particular model seems to fun almost perfect ?  Out of these models 17,19,26,27,22,23

Glock 19

You "ain't no" English teacher either   Just messing    I could not resist seeing that  double-negative in that sentence LOL .  You are correct , the G19 is really sweet. I did buy an X-Grip magazine sleeve for my Glock 26 and put the sleeve over the Glock 19 magazine and put it in my Glock 26 . WOW , its like a Glock 19 with a little shorter of a barrel .
18. I cant say enough good things about Tn Gun Country . I've known the owner , David , since the first month he opened around 7 yrs ago .The LEO/Military discount rocks ! He is a great guy !
19. Have any of you guys/gals dealt with Tennessee Holster Company ? I have read a few good reviews but I'd like to read first hand about them . They are in Granville Tennessee.  I'm interested in some of their holsters and wondering if they are sturdy ?
20. I have had one for a  year. Love it . Last week I sent in my Kydex part  for a M&P Shield and swapped it for a Glock 30 Kydex. They got mine on a Monday and I had my new Glock 30 Kydex on that same week on Friday. That was FAST !
21. Thanks ac3boyz
22. Thanks Lowpower. I like them plain-jane without any fancy stuff except the lowered/flared ejection port area.
23. Thanks for all the good information guys/gals. I think I'll save up instead of trading for one. I'll just buy one new so I can have it from the start and go from there. By the way here is my trusty 14 year old Springfield Mil-Spec that has been carried and has never given me any trouble. I removed the ILS key lock and put in a regular main spring housing. It's a definitley a carry gun and not a show gun but i really like it.
24. Yep,  but they are listed for sale here and there
25. I know the Chinese made Norinco 1911's are awesome but how are these Phillipino made pistols compared to the Norinco ones ? I know the Norinco's are forged and strong as heck
