The neutral cant is good to wear as strong side AND weak-side crossdraw
-
Well I just got in the last thing from the NRA meeting. While there I registered for a free magazine of my choice from Mec-Gar magazines. I got the message that I won a week ago. I just got in the FREE magazine that I picked out. It's a Nickel plated 15 rd magazine for the Ruger P-series 9mm. I'm a sucker for the Ruger P-series and Mec-Gar makes the best aftermarket mags for them in my opinion.

Hey thanks Monkeyman2500 for posting the other side of it.
-
Does it dig into your hip at all ? I have a Glock 30 which has the same measurements as your 29 . Right now I carry my 30 in a Alien Gear holster. It has a leather back but Kydex front. I'm always looking for good holsters for my 30. Right now its the Alien Gear for IWB and the Glock Sports/Combat holster for OWB. Can you post a picture of the other side of it with your 29 in it ?

Well thanks for the information fellows. I dont wish bad on others but I am glad that its just not my house. I guess we will tough it out. Maybe I can show my little 8 yr old girl all these ants and tell her that its her fault because she is always leaving candy wrappers under her bed after sneaking candy into her room . Maybe she will finally stop doing that

I understand that , but looks like it would have been at least a lot lighter than that. Plus the pin is held back by a spring. I'm not sure how Glock disabled their 43 but if they shortened the firing pin then that should not have made it heavier nor should taking the whole pin out .
-
I know that lots of rain brings out the ants , but we have lots and lots of ants inside our house bigtime. Are any of you guys having the same problem ? I thought for sure they would go away by now but they are getting worse. Even our shed has them too. Are you guys having them this bad ?

I agree with a lot of guns being that way but I have never known Glock to have that big of a difference. I mean the 43 at the NRA Glock Booth was like pulling the trigger of a Ruger Sp101 in double action only. Then the one here in town locally was like a regular Gen 3 G19 .
-
I'm still trying to figure out why there is so big of a difference in trigger pull in the two different 43's that My brother and me tried. One at the Glock booth and one at a local gun store
-
Well this is weird : My brother dry fired a "Demo" Glock 43 yesterday and he said it was a lot lighter and more better than the one that we both tried at the NRA convention. It was a lot lighter trigger pull and no grittyness. So MAYBE it does lighten up after lots of trigger action and dry-fire .
-
Are any of you guys/gals noticing that the trigger pull of the 43 feels a lot heavier than the rest of the other Glocks ? When I dry-fired one at he NRA meeting , it was WWWAAAYYYYYY heavier than the other GLocks.
-
The 43 has got to get it's trigger pull weight down a lot before I buy one. When I dry-fired it at the NRA convention it was heavy. Heavier than any Glock trigger that I have ever pulled.

Good lord thats quite a lot more money than I figured it would be .

Here is some more things I got . All was free except for the hornady hat $10 and the Rock Island Shirt $10 . The Glock 43/Lee Ermey coin is in the envelope. Those patches are Freedom Munitions and Armscor and are the type that velcro on a back pack. The X-treme bullet sample are 9mm HP's and I got a lot more but they wouldnt all fit in the photo. I got around 200 rds of .45acp and 9mm in HP's and FMJ's . R. Lee Ermey signed his picture right there with me and was quite nice and shot the bull with me for a bit. The coin he gave me is really nice. I posted a picture of it in a few posts above this one. I enjoyed this a lot . I was there the first day and stayed till 5pm. My feet were sore but I had fun. I got a cool Rock Island Tshirt and some bulet samples from X-Treme Bullets. I got a picture with Lee Ermey and one of those cool coins he was giving out. It's the size of a silver dollar. Here's mine. Very helpfull information here as I too am new to reloading.

I keep reading on here about people saying that they havent gotten registered or havent gotten their "packet" in yet . Do you have to register to get in ? I thought any NRA member could enter free with nothing more than proof that youre a NRA member .

Ok , so use my Lee three die set but on my seating and crimping die , only use the seating portion and then buy and use a Factory Crimp Die to crimp it or just to "take the bell" out of the case ? Is this correct ?
-
Ok Mr. Caster , one last question : These X-Treme brand bullets are copper plated. I beleive the plating is a lot thinner than Jacketed bullets. Will they work the same in my Lee die that SEATS and CRIMPS the bullet at the same time ?
-
Thanks Caster. I am looking at getting a box of X-Treme Bullets. That's all my local gun store had in 230grain FMJ . I went to their website and it showed .452 diameter. Does that .001 difference really mean that much ? Kinda seems like it would be smaller than a hair .
-
hey guys , instead of me starting a new thread , let me ask you about .45acp. I just got some Dies for that caliber. I see .45acp bullets in .451 and some in .452. Both are copper coated/jacketed round nose . Which should I use for target stuff ? .451 or .452 ? My hornady book shows all copper/jacketed ones at .451 and the lead at .452 ? Again , any help is appreciated and not trying to bother you guys .

I have the RIA "GI" version. It's the plain full size 1911 with no extra bells and whistles. It functions fine and shoots fine. Like graycrait said , its way less in price than the big brands. I was a little "iffy" about a Phillipino 1911 but I took the leap and now I love it. Try the Compact version , you'll like it and your wallet will too.

WOW what a bunch of buttholes

Good Lord , are you saying that a handgun magazine regularly costs $200 ? I don't like H&K so I am not familiar with that .
-
They are "series 80" so that is what kept me from them. I like the "series 70" better since it has 4 less parts. I also heard of them being hit and miss. The small Warthogs (compacts) had some problems I believe.
