  1. I am having trouble renewing my membership with Paypal. I cant find the thing to click on to pay for it. I renewed it last time by using Paypal with no problems. Anyone know ? It only has credit card options.
  2. HOLY CRAP that is a lot more support on the Lone Wolf. Yeah , I'll definitely rethink this through.
  3. Wow I never knew there was such a thing as Lizzard bedding or litter . Cool . I have brass cleaner that I use now . Just a squirt before I throw the brass into the media .
  4. Thanks swim615  , I am like you and can't tell much difference in the two . At least nit that much difference to spend $95 . Thanks so much for posting those pictrues
  5. I am getting mixed feelings on going out and spending $95 on a barrel . The Glock's polygonal rifling doesnt affect me hardly at all since I am shooting plated and jackets rounds. I am just trying to see if Lone Wolf has any better chamber support. I just looked at my Lone Wolf 40-9mm conversion barrel in my G22 and the chamber support wasnt much different at all compared to my G17 barrel . So I am trying to see if the .45acp barrel will be any more supported than my Glock 21 barrel .
  6. Sorry to bother you guys , but I would like to see a picture of a Glock 21 barrel VS a Lone Wolf barrel in .45ACP with a round inside . I am looking for chamber support . Trying to see if buying one is worth it to protect my brass. I only shoot jacketed and plated rounds as of now . Thanks for any pictures or information .
  7. Ok great information. As far as cleaning the .223 brass. How do you guys do it ? In my 9mm and .45acp brass I use my tumbler with corncobb. Would the corncobb get all stuff into the brass cases ? Or should I clean it a different way ?
  8.    Yes , like knowing exactly how light to load a cartridge to where it cycles the slide just enough to function but is very light and reliable. It just feels good to know you made the ammo that you are practicing with .
  9. I am about to start reloading .223rem . I have saw that some people dont crimp them. They deprime them , resize them and reload them with no crimp. Is crimp needed or not ? Any information is appreciated.
  10.    It seems to be mainly for using the older Gen 1, 2, and 3 recoil spring assemblys instead of the double spring one they have now . And some people are using them so that they can use other springs with different weights in their Gen 4's to be abe to shoot lower powered ammo and vice versa.
  11.    Thanks and glad to hear.
  12. Have any of you guys tried the Glock Gen 4 Recoil insert ? It is like a washer that goes into the muzzle end of the Glock Gen 4 guns so that you can use the regular recoil spring assembly from Gen 1, 2, and 3.  I saw it on Glockparts.com . It would be interesting to try. Maybe if you are loading light 115 gr 9mm it will allow you to shoot them if the Gen 4 assembly is too stiff maybe ?  I just saw it and wondered what you guys thought or if you had one and how it functioned. I personally dont like adding anything aftermarket to my GLocks but this is very interesting as I like the simple recoil springs from Gens 1,2, and 3 . Here is a link to the insert.    http://glockparts.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=155988&CAT=737
  13. Thanks for the information guys
  14.   $1,000 ? GOOD LAWD .
  15.   I am mainly getting it to use on my modern firearms but I saw you wrote it works on Mil-Surp firearms and corrosive ammo ? Thats awesome to hear. On my Mosins I am still using corrosive ammo and use Windex and hot water to clean with . So I may try Balistol on them too .
  16. I do all my own butchering and I eat almost everything except the organs. But this year I plan on keeping the heart and liver and cooking those. I cut up a lot of the deer into steak , stew meat , stir fry meat , and so on. The neck meat is like a big curtain of meat . I roll/cut it off the neck and slow cook it in the crock pot. I make stir fry meat from the shoulders in the front. This year I'm keeping a whole rear leg and freezing it and the in the Spring when the temp warms up I'll  slow cook on my open BBQ pit . My biggest thing is that I like keeping all my deer  meat pure and I never mix it with foreign meat fat from pork or beef. To me I enjoy it being pure since they are not filled with antibiotics and hormones like pork and beef are now days.
  17.      Hey on the recipe , do  you add any foreign fat to it at all ? Like pork or beef ?  If not then great . Just let me know and thanks for posting !
  18. I am about to try some Ballistol. I have heard from people that after using it , it seems to keep carbon from sticking to the parts so bad.. Kinda like developing a nice resistance to sticking like a cast iron pan does after you use it several times.  Is this true and what do you guys think of it ? I have always used Hoppes and now I am trying to get something easier on my body intsead of harsh cleaners and such. I have had so many things like gas , trans fluid , brake fluid and such on me in the past from working on engines that I need to get away from that stuff and chemicals like it. I read that Ballistol is carcinogen free and eco friendly and all that.  So how does it work and does it keep carbon from building up like people say ?  I know Hickok45 praises it .
  19.    Yeah , I took my MSH out and replaced it with one from Wilson Combat and removed the ILS. I brought my recoil spring and main spring back to 16lbs and 23 lbs. It's been running great since I bought it new in 2004 . I got one for my son last year and did the same to his. This is the only negative about the Springfields but it is not really hard at all to do this. It only takes about 5 minutes .  I just didnt mention this when I posted about the Springfield because most Springfield owners I know do this first thing when they get theirs. Kinda like buying a new car in the 70's and the first thing you did was take off those darn restrictive Cat Converters.
  20. My thoughts are if you are gonna get a nice 1911 then get one in a series 70 style , full size 5 inch , and an internal extractor just like the orginal 1911's had . That's why I say to choose the Springfield.
  21. I say the Springfield TRP . I have a Springfield 1911 and love it. It is a Series 70 , forged frame and slide and just reliable . Watch this 5 minute video by Colion Noir about the TRP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_R94LstfZg
  22. The one feature that I do like is how you can convert it from Decocker/safety to Decock Only like a "G" model by simple means .   I converted a Beretta Cougar made in the 90's to a "G" on my own a few years ago and the darn springs were a $itch to put back in , so hopefully this new feature will make the slide less complex. If so and the price is right then I may THINK about one . I believe CZ did this to their newer polymer pistol a while back.
  23.    Oh man I love doing that ! Next spring I am gonna cook half a sheep and a goat . When I shoot my deer this year , I am going to keep a whole back leg/ham intact and freeze it to cook next year. I have cooked deer on my pit before but never a whole back leg.
  24. Around where I live we have three hardware stores that have a huge variety of those hex screws. Try and look for some similiar stores in your town. Even in electrical supply stores they have similiar items.
  25. I had a regular Beretta M9 and I liked it and all but talk of these new ones being more than $700  is just stupid in my opinion.
