  1.    I got to looking at it harder after I pushed it upwards and made it flush . Even if I hadn't pushed it upwards it would not have snagged or hit anything on the frame as the slide cycled. So anyways , I was worried over nothing. Thanks for offering to look though :up:  My little girl is sick and styaing home from school but when she goes back I'll head to the indoor range with this M&P
  2.    Dont worry , I took my punch and rubber hammer and popped it back upwards and flush. I guess the factory had just pushed it in too deep. I always worry over stupid stuff LOL .

  4.    Thanks and I'm sticking with this one this time. Hey , since you are an M&P man ,  goto my other thread I posted tonight about the extractor pin slightly sticking out on the underside of my slide. I put a picture of it in the post. Do you think I should get a hammer and punch and pop it back upwards a little so it will be flush with the underside of the slide ?
  5.    Looking down on top of the slide , it looks like the rollpin was just pushed in a little too deep. I may try and pop it upwards a little tomarrow.
  6.    No I think you are talking about the firing pin safety . It is spring-loaded. I am talking about the little hollow pin towards the bottom of the picture near the Extractor.  I have the slide next to my computer. Look at the little square shape with "SD" inside the square , it's on my computer .  The roll pin is to the left of that shape.
  7. This may seem like a simple thing but I'm OCD just a little. I just got a new M&P Fullsize 9mm. I took it apart and noticed the rollpin was sticking out of the bottom of the slide a little and not flush. The rollpin I am speaking of is the one that holds the Extractor on. Should I take a punch and and a rubber hammer and pop it back up to where it's flush with the bottom of the slide ? I just dont want it hanging out under the slide to where it may contact some of the frames "innards" . Here is picture of the slide upside down and you can see the rollpin sticking out some . I just havent dealt with roll pins much and didnt know if they had to punched or moved in a certain direction or not .   8. UPDATE: I got the M&P Fullsize 9mm new with 3 17rd mags for $398. Quantico Tactical has them priced at that for Military , Law Enforcement , and First Responders .  WOW this trigger is way better than I remember my older M&P being.It is even the same or a little better than my Shield. The trigger reset is just awesome now , almost , not quite the same but darn close to the Glock reset . I am pleased.
  9. I think people should pay more attention to NOT FOLLOWING SO CLOSELY . A lot of crashes occur from this way more than than the "fast lane" issues :rant:. If people are in a hurry then they should have left sooner.
  10. Do you have to use that Mortons Tender Quick or can you use regular salt ? I am asking becuase it's gonna be sitting the refridgerator before it gets baked and afterwards too.  I'm just wondering .
  11.    Yeah  , When I do my hog shoulders , i thaw them in the refridgerator for a few days. Then I set them out to get up to room temperature for a few hours while i am starting my fire.
  12.    Did you put the Apex parts in it yourself ? If so how was it when you were taking it apart ?
  13. Did the tendons and similiar connective tissues disolve or become softer and more edible like they do on pork ?  
  14. Awesome ! Thanks for that awesome picture too. I usually run my pit around 200-220. So running it any lower would be simple plus it would  save me some wood too.

  19. I have a bbq pit . It is the old school type made from concrete block where I burn wood (Oak wood and Hickory and other harwoods) in an old barrel and then scoop up the wood coals and shovel them inside my pit every hour or so . With that being said , I deer hunt and I process my own deer . But this year I want to do something different. I want to put a deer hind leg onthe pit . I know it's really lean and may cook way more faster than pork or others but I am thinking it may cook like a goat or lamb. I undertsand deer is lean but it should be around the same as a goat or lamb. What do you guys think ? Here's my leg . I processed the other meat and it's in the freezer. I'm freezing this leg to be able to cook it in spring when the temp is around 65 or higher to cook on the pit . If I cook it do you guys think I should do it along the lines of cooking a goat or lamb or what ? Any information is appreciated . Plus I'll have pictures in a fw months !   21. I also read that S&W is now using a thing called "PVD" . Supposedly it stand for Physical Vapor Deposition. Supposed to be around 75 on the rockwell hardness scale or hatever you call it.
  22. I have had 2 M&P 9 full size pistols and loved them . The only thing I hated was the fact that it has the big take down lever on the side , the roll pins , and the fact that you have to remove the rear sight to get to the firing pin safety. Well I am back again and trying to buy another M&P 9 Full size and I am going to keep it this time LOL . Has anything changed in the last 3 years to the full size 9mm pistols ? I am wanting to get the "plain jane" M&P 9mm full size.  
  23. Glock 17 the original. Lots of cartridges and a nice feel on the grip . It is only a fraction of an inch longer  than the 19 .  Most people that have been in a gun fight want a bigger gun that holds more rounds afterwards.
