Are Winchester pistol primers ok ? I am on a budget and we are getting out of debt so I am trying to buy cheaper components. I can get them cheaper than Federal. Pretty much , if you were Dave Ramsey , which primers would he choose , LOL !!!! ( we are on his plan) . I know this is not essential to our budget but reloading and shooting keeps me sane and sobor

Well I went and handled a TP9 again and was about to set my mind on getting the TP9 SF , but I waited. I went home and sent Century Arms an email regarding spare parts . They are not selling parts at all at this time. So I am just sticking to Glock strictly for now. I know the gun could be sent to the factory for warranty if it breaks or something , but I just like having a surplus of parts available to order if I need something like with my GLock and 1911 . Too bad cause I really wanted this gun , the TP9 SF , but if parts cant be found then screw it . Here's their response ....... Thank You for contacting Century Arms...we do not have any information in regards to selling parts at this time. Sincerely, Customer Service

I carry my M&P9 fullsize in the waistband in a Rigid Holsters brand IWB holster. It's just like a Alien Gear holster and my M&P feels great.

I guess I got a "wild hair up my butt" like we say here in the south. I got so excited about the Canik TP9 SF but after waiting and thinking on it I have finally came down from the clouds and realized that I just dont want a pistol that I cant get parts that are readily available for it. I want to be able to get parts for it like I can my 1911 and my Glocks. I came up on a great deal for a used Glock 17 FDE Gen 3 .I took my Canik TP9 SF funding and I snagged that lady up today and I'm stripping her down all the way and cleaning her up right now . Most Glock owners love to have a few or a lot of G19's. For me it's the 17 . You can never have too many Glock 17's . I will try and get the TP9 SF when I have some spending money to blow but as I said , my golden rule is to always have a shooter/carry gun with a surplus of parts available from almost any gun shop or internet service .

I agree. I'm not going to own a gun that I won't shoot. I don't believe in safe queens.

And that's why I choose Glock as a primary pistol. The ease of disassembly and reassembly all the way down to the pins and parts .

Is that a joke ? They are a very good shop but I just dont see how this revolver could be priced that high .

I need to make a correction on a statement I made . I said that I started out shooting old cast iron pots and skillets . They did hold up fine but today I had an old one just to mess around with . I shot it at 50 feet with a copper plated 9mm 115 grain bullet and it went right through it like butter :dropjaw: . I am trying to load up pictures. I took another shot and it did the same . All I can say is WOW !!!

Ever brought a gun because of a TV show or movie.

I was waiting for someone to mention the Bren Ten carried by Sonny Crockett -
Also , if you can find old cast iron pots and pans they will work too. My first metal targets were old cast iron skillets . They are flat and shaped like a round target and even have a hole in the handle to hang them from . People at yard sales sell them cheap !

Thats a neat idea ! Cheap and easy !!!

I have two man-hole covers that are slick on one side with no grooves. I got them free from a construction company that was throwing them away . They are one inch thick and will stop quite a bunch of different bullets . I am waiting till spring to cut them into smaller peices and hang them from a pole or wooden posts.

AMEN my brother !!!!

Not to get into a peeing match , but the SVO would kill the others in a road rally where there were curves and hills and such . Their handling was superior in their day .

I know this is a SUV thread , but have you thought about the 2004 and older Toyota Tacoma trucks with 4 doors ? The 4 doors have lots of room plus you have the bed in the rear too and you can pop on camp-shell if you want . I have the 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4wd but mine is 2door but it is as reliable as the sunset . It is 4wd and has the 2.7 liter which is pretty much one of Toyota's best 4 cylinders. The older Tacoma's like the 2004 and older are the "Huey Helicopter" of Toyota . They run and run .

Yeah I agree with all you guys but when I heard him talking about it , I thought I'd check it out. The one thing I cant seem to find out is how the metal is treated and hwo corrosion resistant they are . But like I posted earlier last week , I'm still after the Canik TP9 SF . At least I know it is well tested and proven .

I just heard about New Order Firearms new 9mm pistol tonight on the Guns And Leather radio show on 99.7 FM out of Nashville. Dennis Williams was talking very good about this company and their new 9mm pistol. It will be made all in the USA . All the metal parts will be machined from metal and no MIM or cast parts will be used. It will use magazine that already exit now , the Beretta M9/FS 9mm magazines. And here's a real cool feature. You can get them made totally for a left-handed shooter. The extractor and ejection port is on the left side. The trigger pull is measured at 5lbs and is a striker fired pistol. The frame is polymer. I wasn't able to find a picture of the frame without the slide taken off. I would like to see how the slide rails are molded into the frame and if they are metal or polymer (like the Ruger P95) or both (like the XD9/HS2000) . That's all I know about it so far in the 1 hour that I have read about them . This sounds pretty neat . http://neworderfirearms.com/

WOW I had forgotten all about them ! Thanks !
