  1. Ok thanks for the information.
  2. I still cant find anywhere on here that I can plug in my Paypal to renew my Benefactor membership .
  3. I went there and I cant seem to renew my membership . I don't think the system has my Paypal address stored anymore. Sorry about these questions. I'm sure are being overwhelmed.
  4. I cant seem to find the "client area" on my profile to upgrade my membership . How do I go about that ?
  5.   Yes .I created this thread because I got to shoot one at my LGS and made this whole thread about what I experienced.  I got to shoot 25 rds through it there. The trigger reset was horrible. I am hoping Ruger will improve it like S&W did with the M&P's .

I am open to almost anything but I will stick with my G30 .
  7.    I was hoping that Ruger would have went with a design like Glock with very few parts. But it seems that they went the complex route. I do like the modular design but I hate the many parts in the firing assembly .
  8. Have any of you Ruger American Pistol owners taken out the firing control assembly yet ? If so what do you think of it ? I saw one out of the gun and it looked like it had quite a few pieces in it and kinda complex .
  9. I shot it and cant tell any reduction in recoil compared to other generations but my son felt a difference. I sold an older gun that I had the other day that isn't made anymore and parts cant be found . So I took those funds and got another Gen 3 17 . I am going to use the Gen 4 as a home defense and range gun. Most people have multiple Glock 19's but I am a 17 kinda guy. The only thing I wish that Glock would still do on these newer Gen 3's and Gen 4's would be to still have the circular cut on the lower front end of the grip where you can grab the front of the magazine in different situations.
  10. I haven't shot it yet . I did notice that these newer Glocks are being shipped with a lot of oil on them . I remember buying Glocks a few years ago new and they would be dry and only have the gold stuff under the slide and that was all. This new Gen 4 has oil all over it and inside it. When I shook the gun I couldn't even hear the striker rattle around like normal. I will detail strip it today and get it dry. It may have oil in the striker channel . It has so much oil on it its like a CZ when you buy one new.
  11. I decided to stick with my Gen 2.5 30 and I got  Gen 4 G17 .
  12.    Please let us know how it goes when you shoot it .
  13. Thanks guys for the help. I just got a new Gen 4 17 . For most people they collect the 19's. For me I like the 17's.
  14.  The old Gen 2's DEFINITLEY have the Tenifer so I would get it ! That stuff will resist rust like crazy .
  15. Are their new guide recoil spring assembly very noticeable when shooting ? Or are they even noticeably different at all as compared to the Gen 2 and 3 ?
  16. Is the Glock 17 Gen 4 as reliable as the others ? I know they have changed the Gen 4 recoil springs but are they as good ? Any help is appreciated .
  17. I guess I am "old school" Glock as I just don't like the idea of some thing on top of a slide being screwed in and then having it slide back and forth so quickly. I may change my mind in the future . It does sound neat . I just like a solid Glock with as few parts as possible.
  18. Thanks for the information guys
  19. I am thinking of trading my Glock 19 for one . I seem to carry my Glock 17 more than my 19 , I know , that is crazy , but I just got an urge to get a Glock 30 Gen 4 .  So far the reviews seem to be pretty good.  If I am not mistaken , the Gen 4 is pretty much a G30 with the SF grip length and different textured grip . Am I correct ?
  20.    Yeah I agree but there were a few 30 SF ones with trouble.
  21. How are the Glock 30 Gen 4's running ? I know the standard G30's were awesome. I still have one. The SF models had early problems. Now there are the new Gen 4 G30's.  Have any of you have good experiences or bad ?
  22. A wolf remains a wolf even if it has not eaten your sheep.
  23.    I'm not sure how good of a deal you can get on that Gen 3 21 that you're talking about , but a member on here with the user name of jwhjwh54 is selling a Gen 3 21 for $450 . It's in the classified section. To me that is an awesome deal .  I like the Gen 3's better than the Gen 4's .
  24. Welcome. And if you like to eat and like chicken , go to Hattie B's Hot Chicken on Charlotte pike . LOL . It's great and cheap . My wife and I discovered this a few months ago and we cant get enough.  If you like awesome burgers go to a place called The Pharmacy on Mcferrin Ave . The burgers are awesome and they make their own buns and have lots of craft beer.  I guess you can tell I like food
  25. what pissed me off is that that idiot said that he purchased the gun online. That's bull cap. All he did online is make arrangements for a meeting. I swear these people are morons. And then the news kept repeating "semi-automatic rifle" . I guarantee if he had bought a bolt-action rifle they would not say "bolt-action rifle" . The news just blows $hit out of proportion all the time to get $hit stirred up .
