Thanks guys. I didn't know that Taurus had anything reliable other than the PT92. Good to know now. I am not in the mood for buying one yet but I may go handle and dry fire one. The second strike capability sounds pretty neat. Thanks for the information guys .

Earlier this evening I was riding around with my wife and little girl listening to Guns And Leather Radio Hour. My little girl got to talking loud and I only caught a little of they said , but they were saying that a certain Taurus semi-auto in 9mm would go bang every time you pulled the trigger. I don't think it was the larger Taurus shaped like the Beretta 92 , I think it was a smaller 9mm. They were talking to a caller who asked how the smaller 9mm guns were selling and the Taurus was mentioned. Anyone know which one they were talking about ?

Hey , what are the lines at the end of the slide on the 5 inch ones ? They look like cast mold seams , but I know the slides are forged. I have always wondered about this .

Look above at the picture of my old Glock 22 .I did that several years ago. It was the RTF abrasive grip so I also smoothed it out with sandpaper. I liked it. I also had a Lonewolf conversion barrel to shoot 9m with so it was pretty cool all the way around. I made it to the grip of a G26/G27. So it was a little smaller than what you are wanting but with time and a little effort you can do it yourself .

The Delton kit says the barrel is Chrome Moly Vanadium. My Bushmaster that's 14 years old is Chrome lined. Would the Chrome Moly Vanadium be ok ? I read that the chrome lined is best for longevity and the worst is unlined raw steel (for longevity). So would it be correct to say that Chrome Moly Vanadium would be somewhere in the middle ?

I say go with the 43 . I have had both. I like both but I'd go with the 43. Both are reliable but when it comes to complete disassembly to clean inside the striker channel and all other parts , the Glock 43 is way easier to disassemble. With the Shield you have to remove the rear sight which holds the striker safety plunger and all. That's just too much bull crap to have to go through to thoroughly clean a pistol. Bottom line is the 43 is a very simple gun , very little parts and very reliable in my opinion and to completely disassemble it all you need is a punch or a nail or anything skinny. With the Shield you need a roll pin punch for the roll pins and an allen wrech for the rear sight . The 43 allows you to do any thing you want to do in the field with pretty much anything you have around you , no special tools. Just an FYI , I am different from most others as I think of simplicity and reliability even if it means the pistol may have a slightly heavier trigger pull and even if the pistol is heavier and thicker.

In the description is states that it has already been test fired and headspaced. My questions Is how do you headspace one ? I have an old Bushmaster and shoot it and know it pretty well but I don't understand the headspacing thing. I thought that would be done when manufacturing or or milling it out.

What are you guy's thoughts and experiences on Delton rifles and parts ? I have a stripped lower and have saw a few Delton kits on AR15's and was wondering about them . They have all but the lower . Any information is appreciated.

I agree about the "gripzone" marking . It don't bother me at all. People seem to be bothered by it a lot. I see it just as things like on helicopters and such. " danger hot exhaust" , things like that .

They aren't that bad at all. back around 2007 I had a XD9 and it was good. I just couldn't seem to engage the grip safety all the time. I guess the web of my hand wasn't big enough. I can engage a 1911 grip safety all day long but the XD 's are a little different to me. I used one a while ago and now I seem to engage the safety pretty good. I was looking for a cheap truck gun used but at this price , might as well get a new one with a warranty and a proven track record. They may look like they have a high bore axis but it doesn't shoot that way nor recoil that way at all.

Sold a gun I wasn't using and used the funds to get a brand new S.A. XD9 Service size in gray . Then got a new Areo Precision lower for $49 . I think this was a win win situation. People always say stuff about the "gripzone" shown on the grip but it don't bother me. It's a tool . Gonna build a simple AR slowly but surely as I go . XD from Rural King and Areo Precision lower from Tn Gun Country .

The Mossberg has the safety right in the middle so a left handed or right handed person can use it. The Mossberg is an old proven design , but then again the Remington is too , but I don't like the Remingtons since they got bought out. Quality has went to crap. I say go with the Mossberg.

I got to add that back in the day when The Road Warrior came out I always wanted a short barreled shotgun like Mel Gibson used in that movie and this thing surpassed that . Very high on the cool meter !

I was listening to Guns And Leather radio hour a few weeks ago. They mentioned they had Mossberg Shockwaves in 20 gauge on sale for $339 . I always wanted one but in 12 gauge. I waited a week and then got one of the 20 gauge. I am so glad I went with the 20 gauge. It is way more manageable than I thought and still has a good thump towards the target or bad guys. With the 14 inch barrel it's neat as neat could be ! Plus I figured if there was another "Clinton ban" these things would definitly get banned so why not get one now. I am all about practical weapons and practical tools but this thing is fun and can be. It can also hide very well in a car or truck to just bring along If you're checking on some farm stuff or just riding down the road messing around and too lazy to strap on a pistol. I am very pleased with it. It is the most unpractical thing I ever bought but it is truly fun. I'm keeping the forearm strap on it cause I can see how your hand could slip past the forearm and get blasted by the muzzle very easily. You cant beat $339 for something like this . Here's it is . I slathered on a heavy coat of Ballistol after shooting it so that's why it looks wet especially on the bolt. Thanks to Guns And Leather !

ha , I was referencing the Carnival Kia dude and his machine gun trouble he's in . It was on the news a few days ago. He'd always say some jingle like "come see me for a Kia" or similar.

Hey here's my Glock 26X LOL , just messing around but it does fit my hand better than the Glock 19 . For some reason the 19 doesn't fit me . The G17 and 26 fit me better.

I have a gen 5 17 for my duty pistol and for me the trigger pull is about the same and so is the groupings . I have a personal g26 gen 5 just cause I was curious. I still don't see that big a difference from it and the Gen 3's or 4's.

I got to looking at the Glock 19X . To me it seems like a sales gimmick. If you take a 19 and insert a 17 magazine then there ya go . Or to make it more "better looking" just add an X-Grip to smooth the gap. I just don't get paying the extra money for it . Any thoughts ?
