  1. If no one knows of anyone selling any , , I'd get in your truck or car and go riding down some highways or back roads. I always see someone selling oak and or hickory in their front yard for cooking and/or firewood. I built my own BBQ pit and I use regular oak wood that I cut myself and oak tastes just as good if not the same as hickory. Here's my old fashioned style pit I made myself and my wood burn-barrel in the background. Best thing I ever made. I can cook about 20 shoulders at a time for around 12-15 hrs and it's worth every hour of it. Shoveling wood coals from my burn-barrel to the pit every hour to keep it at 220 degrees. Low and slow.
  2. Is that the same 4.6 liter engine out of the Mach 1 ? 32 valves ? Is it a front wheel drive ?
  3. I always check my 9mm's by seeing if they will drop into my pistol barrel plus I'll try to make them as idienticle as factory target ammo but I was thinking of getting a Headspace gauge for easier measuring and saving time. When looking I saw the Hornady Headspace gauge that says its for 9mm in 9x19 AND 9x21 . I may be having a brain fart but the 9x21 case is longer and since the case headspaces on the case mouth , wouldn't that gauge read them differently ? Excuse me if I am wrong or confused. I thought you'd need a different gauge for each of those two rounds .
  4. Yep !
  5. Either way , bullets are going to be going into the bad guy or his general direction. Some dope heads can take a lot of wounds and keep trucking but some people may just stop what they are doing when they see , hear or feel the gun shots. If the 380 neutralizes the threat then all the much better , and that's why I said its a "get off me gun" . Of course the .45acp will make them bleed much faster and such but when its 100 degrees outside and I'm wearing shorts , the LCP 380 is gonna be just fine without much bulk and not pull my shorts down nor do I need a thick gunbelt.
  6. How has the Remington ran for you ? Reliable or not ?
  7. Exactly and I'd tell him to go to Guns And Leather in Greenbrier . The owner's son is a member on here. They always treat you right and never do you wrong . Or if you just absolutely want to get him a gun to have under the Christmas tree , you cant go wrong with a Glock 17 or Glock 19 . These guns always work when you pull the trigger and are just dang reliable !
  8. I don't think the .380 is designed to be a "manstopper" . I carry a Ruger LCPII .380 and to me it is my "get the hell away from me" gun. Lord forbid if I ever have to use it but if I did , to me , it is the gun to get the bad guy to stop doing bad stuff and to get off of me so that I can get to a safe place. I don't expect it to me a "manstopper" . I love the Ruger LCP , so easy to throw it in my pocket to go to the autoparts store , or anywhere without using a belt and holster.
  9. Well I can just kick myself ! I saw a Taurus PT92 in a local pawn shop for $225 . It had some scratches but damn ! I went back to try and put it on layaway the next day and it was gone . So nice with that frame mounted safety . I doubt I'll see anything that good priced again !
  10. Heck yeah ! Plus it's thick !
  11. Just found out about this place 2 months ago. Papas' Old Fashioned BBQ in Erin Tn. Good food and good prices. One of the last meat and three type places left. I've been there 4 times now. Awesome ! The pork is great but they also have BBQ bologna that tastes like they inject marinade and seasonings onto it . The BBQ bologna sandwiches are thick ! Here's a picture of my BBQ bologna sandwich and some mash potatoes and gravy . Just awesome ! Thought I'd pass this on to anyone who may be driving around and want to try a good old mom and pop type place .
  12. Hellraiser with Pinhead ! In "Hellraiser Bloodline" and "Hellraiser III " Pinhead was awesome. It's funny to say this but true , my wife and me in 96 were dating and our first movie was Hellraiser Bloodline. I am a Christian and Baptist , but "Pinhead" in another movie does some pretty anti-Christian things yet it's still pretty exciting to watch.
  13. It says that these suspended licenses "leave people unable to work aming it harder for them to pay court debts" WTF !!!!!! That's bull crap ! There are a gazillion people driving all over the place with suspended and revoked DL's . The fact that they are suspended or revoked never stops them. They just don't pay the fines and now it seems they may be able to get away with it without getting cited or going to booking ! Criminals always seem to win.
  14. Well I am into several weeks now carrying this LCPII in my front pocket and I gotta tell you that it is so comfortable that it is making a "lazy carrier" out of me. It makes me want to carry it rather than my usual Glock 30 or my other double stack guns on a belt holster or inside the pant holster. I'm gonna put another box of ammo through it this week . I really like it so far. When I got it I was between a Glock 36 and this LCPII just to buy with some extra money from my other job as a fun gun , I hated to risk the previous failures of the 36 so I got this LCP II. Worked out great . Galco makes a leather pocket holster which I like but they want like $60 for it so I'll stick with the DeSantis Super Fly . I like leather for the sake of having leather but the DeSantis is purely function which is great ! A perfect combination in my opinion and experience.
  15. I was thinking if it was used , it would have to be way under $300 to get any attention since they are new at $300-320 .
  16. I think that he spent a few days with some a$$hole in a house who was helping him out. When he was taken into custody he was well shaved didn't have beard growth like you'd have after 7 days.
  17. Looks pretty neat ! Thnks for sharing
  18. I'm out here now, taking quick break. I relieved the night shift. Gonna be a hot day !
  19. can you post a picture of that holster please ?
  20. I HAVE MINE IN MY FRONT POCKET. anything BIG IN THE REAR POCKET CAUSES BACK PAIN.
  21. I am buying one Glock 17 mag per month just to be safe and to be "safe" with my wife . She can't complain at one mag per month ! LOL . I was around when the "Clinton era" was here and it sucked ! 15 rd mags were going for $95 or more each ! [
  22. AMEN !
  23. I hear ya ! I was selling my like new S.A. XD9 sub compact with all the trimmings and even the factory test fired envelope for like $340 . I got no bites. But this is a good thing as it had made that same gun way more interesting to me by me taking it out and shooting the living hell outta it ! I am wayyyy more of an XD fan now ! Like it so much I will never sell it . I shot that pistol and just treated it like a stolen car. Never failed and was even testing some experimental reloads I made .

    Ruger LCP II

I've have had a Ruger LCP II in .380ACP for a few months now. Got it new and been carrying it in a DeSantis Super Fly pocket holster. I got to say this is the easiest gun to carry that I ever had. Just put it in your front pocket and go. No big heavy gun belt and no belt holster. I've put 100 rds of American Eagle 95gr though it so far just to check function. So far so good. Big thumbs up ! It comes with the flush fit magazine plate and the "finger groove" plate. I use the flush fit one. This is a very good gun. I've only had one other .380 and that was a CZ83. Loved that gun and it ate any ammo but it was a bigger gun. This LCP is really neat and small.
