  1. Is that grip tape on the grip or has the frame been stippled ? Also , has the slide been cerekoted ? Any information is appreciated.
  2. My daughter decided to go with the birdshead grip and the matt stainless look. I like the looks of it too. I figured that Ruger would be easier to contact with help in case there was ever a problem. Ruger sent me a very hard to find spring one time on a 20 year old pistol that isn't made anymore so that stands out to me about great Ruger customer service. Thanks to you members who provided information and opinions. It helped a bunch.
  3. Which one would you pick and why ? I am looking for something simple for shooting steel for my 15 year old , nothing fancy or crazy. I am just looking for reliability . She is 15 years old and new to shooting. I dont want to have something crack or break. I know Ruger was king of reliability but the days of the Ruger P-Series reliability are over so that is why I am asking . I see the Heritage pistols all over the place but I have never had one. I am asking because they are cheaper which is good , but they also use Zinc and other metals and that makes a difference. I could buy here a Ruger Single-Six but that is in the $500 range. Thanks for any information.
  4. Price changed to $430 FIRM. I have gotten a lot of offers by text that were ok and some that were lowball offers , so I think $430 for this pistol is fair.
  5. Yes and you can use any 9mm Glock magazine in it . The 10rd flush mag , the 15 rd ,17 rd , 21rd and 33rd magazine.
  6. How are the new Gen 5 .40S&W pistols running ? Are they still "Glock" reliable ? Also , I used a G22 gen 2 and Gen 3 for over 20 years at my work and on both I had the "peening" along the middle of the slide rails underneath. Are these newer Gen 5's getting any peening along that area at all ? Any information is appreciated.
  7. Free delivery within 35 miles of Clarksville
  8. sold
  9. Are you dead set on having a thumb safety ?
  10. "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid"
  11. The "chassis" or fire control piece just looked a bit too complicated with too many parts. I guess I am spoiled by Glock with it having so few parts.

Thanks. I have the Compact so I can switch it up when carrying. I still like my striker guns but the hammer guns just seem to interest me more now days. I started off on hammer guns when I was young , went to strikers , still using strikers at work , but the hammers are now my thing and here to stay.
  13. In the Glock barrel ? I know Glock chamber's are a little roomy and loose so I was still thinking about getting a dedicated KKM or Lone Wolf 10mm barrel to keep brass from buldging or weakening at least for my target shooting. For carry I'll use the factory barrel with factory defense rounds.
  14. Thanks . I test-fired it today for function and it worked great. The recoil seemed no worse than my Glock 22 in .40S&W. I'll try for accuracy later when I have time.
  15. I am going to stay on the mild side of 10mm when I reload for it. I dont believe in running hot rounds just to end up tearing up a good gun. I may use a premium factory ammo when I deer hunt. I hunt with a long gun but there have been many times when I had to turn completely around in a tree to get a good shot. Moving that long barrel would scare the deer. So I figure if I am in a situtation like that , I can just use the pistol instead.
  16. Awesome to hear. The only thing on these newer Tacomas I dont like is the transmissions being sealed and not having a dip stick. Supposedly the fluid is "lifetime" but I am still going to change it at certain intervals . There are ways to do it. After I sold you my older one , we were able to get by with our other cars and save up and payed off a lot of student loans and such , so thanks for buying it . I miss it but it's in good hands.
  17. In October last year I ordered a 2022 Toyota Tacoma. I recieved the Tacoma in December 2 months later. It's my "retirerment" truck since I am pretty close to retiring from my primary job. I wanted a simple reliable truck and this was the last true simple truck left on the market and I'll tell you why : It's a 4 door truck with real frame rails and body , the engine will stay on until I turn the key off. It doesnt turn on and off at stop lights like those other truck. It has a regular gasoline engine that breathes on it's own and doesnt have a stupid turbo charger that will fail later. All cylinders run and it doesn't have that crazy system that shuts off some cylinders to save fuel. All that extra junk like turbo chargers , stopping and starting the engine at red lights , and cylinder shut downs will eventually wear out and wear the engine out. My 2022 Tacoma was $29,600. Also there was no "market adjustment" either like lots of other dealers are doing. I paid the factory sticker price that I listed and that was all. No added bull crap no added charges at all. I know a few years ago you would talk dealers down from the sticker but no more. Trucks and cars are in high demand and dealers are adding these " market adjustment" stickers on them. The dealer I went to was one of the very few dealers that dont add that mess . I'm pleased. The only thing I dont like is the new 6 speed automatic transmission. It likes to shift a lot and it doesnt have a dipstick. I like the old 4 speed automatic better but those are long gone. I meant no offense to any truck owners with the fancy bells and whistles , I just prefer a simple truck with no fancy things on it.
  18. Thanks everyone. So it sounds like I have a good 10mm that can also shoot .40 if I am out of 10mm or just want to switch up as long as I clean up the carbon "ring" in the chamber from .40 afterwards. Thanks very much guys !
  19. That has got to be the best score on this forum that I have seen in a long while. I have seen some good ones and had a few myself but yours with that 915 is SWEET . I cant remember but does it have a magazine safety? If so it's pretty easy to remove it so it will be like regular semi-autos so you can shoot it without the mag in it.
