Supposedly this meat shop serves lunch and dinner and has good BBQ. Has anyone been there and ate there ? How was it ? Thanks for any replies .

I wondered how they stayed in business with their prices so high. I regularly saw prices well over MSRP and as you know in the gun world , most real world prices are around $75-$100 lower than MSRP. BUT NOT AT THIS PLACE. When the building was Uncle Buds in the 90s I enjoyed some good fish there.

It's hard to be choosy when they are so few and far between. I usually just grab what I can no matter what color it is. As long as I can do a function check and make sure its working properly . But you're are right , they are getting scarce in pawn shops too. On the topic of Pawn Shops , they sometimes are higher in price than a regular gun shop.

There are a few double-action-only models in 9,40 and 45. I don't have any .40SW models since I don't reload that caliber. There are p85, p91, p93 and p94 models too. I don't have those either. After this P95 I think I'm pretty happy with what I have. I still have my Glock carry pistol and such but it's fun to have old clunky things like these that eat all kinda ammo and run so well.

I would hate to know the gas I have spent riding around hunting for them. When it's nice outside , my girl and I are fishing creeks and ponds. But on the nasty days we sometimes go riding around and before you know it we have driven "x" amount of miles just riding around from one pawn shop to another looking for old P-Series. After this last one , the polymer P95 , I think I am done unless one just pops up in front of me. I am still wanting one that has been worn down like it has rode in the floorboard of an old F100 truck for 30 years. I had a chance to get one like that for dirt cheap but I passed it up since those older ones use slightly different magazines. Stupid me ! I'm going to try to attach a picture of a similair one that looked like that old worn down one I saw. Something about that old worn look on these old bricks is just appealing to me.

Well , a few of them are 9 and a few are 45 . One of the 9's I got for $175 and one of the 45's I got for $169. I couldn't pass those up.

They are fat and I guess you'd say crude but they run and run. Their slides are cast steel and the metal frame are cast aluminum. I've never seen one fail. They were Rugers entry into the 80s "wonder nine" pistols like the Beretta 92 and SW 59 series.
-
I have read about that once . It's pretty neat ! Tanker guys getting Ruger P-Series. Very cool.
-
They are getting to be few and far between buddy !

I was just kidding with my daughter earlier when test firing this pistol. I told her it's the Tonka truck of the pistol world. I got to thinking and I believe that's the best thing to describe the Ruger P-Series. The Tonka Trucks of the pistol world. Big , tough , fat, clunky and reliable.

I was at the right place and right time to find this old dinosaur. I am a sucker for the old Ruger P-series pistols. They are fat , big , and clunky but they run forever until the good Lord comes back. This is the P95. It has the fiberglass frame and the frame rails that the slide rides on is the same fiber glass that the frame is made of. So a slide that rides on fiber glass instead of metal . I was always worried about this but no one has had one ever fail or wear down. This one was never fired and is new in the box. Still has the danger/warning sticker on the frame. When I was turning 21 the Ruger P-Series 85 and 89 were coming out and they were my first pistol. They would run no matter what I put in them and when dirty they still never failed. I just thought Id share this with you guys. have a good day !

I'm late to the "truck" part of this topic but here is truck perfection. It never got stuck and pulled many F250's and others out of ditches and ruts. Once we had a crazy ice and snow storm. My wife and me went driving in it for 2 days in a row at 350 miles looking at the snow and sights with a foot of snow and ice on the road , no problems at all. The last true Japanese compact trucks that will run forever and leave the American trucks in their own cloud of burning oil and despair. The newer Tacomas are more of a mid-size truck now.

I had one in my person truck and car back in the 90's. It was the best at finding trooper and police radar and wrecks up ahead. That is what I mainly used mine for. I had a guy "peak" my power output so it would reach out a bit further. One day my brother and I were coming back in our pick-up trucks from Land Between The Lakes. We were in seperate trucks. We pulled into a steak house sort of like Logans with a live band outside. My brother keyed up on his radio and asked me where I wanted to park. I heard his voice come over the live bands speakers. It cancelled out there music and songs. FUNNY AS HELL. So When we parked , I told him how his radio was coming through the bands speakers. He goes back to his truck and tells me to walk to the front door and listen. he keys up on his radio and it comes through the bands speakers : He said "attention all customers , free beer at the bar , free beer for the next 15 minutes" !!!! We died laughing at the reactions to people hearing it and running to the bar.

Where are you guys getting Canik Magazines ? I have searched all over God's creation and no luck !

I realize their pistols are more complicated than Glock for example. But my workplace uses Glock since they are very simple and reliable. I guess this has carried over to my personal choices. I like my pistols to be as simple and less complicated as they can be , except my Beretta 92 and CZ75. They have many parts but run like a well oiled machine. But dang , this high Power version is just wayyyy expensive.

No offense to FN fans but FN seems to think their pistols are made of gold when it comes to their prices. Even their polymer .45ACP pistols are crazy high priced. I wanted one but got a Glock 21 at $200 less.

FUJIMO is a good member. Had some great transactions with him. Free bump and a great pistol. I had the base model of that gun in blued form. These pistols are starting to have a following and part of the 80s wonder nines. Get it while you can.
-
I'm sure they will have a ton of "check engine light" problems.
-
I hate it for you. And I have a few S&W's. But this is exactly why I have gotten to where I don't buy American products if I can help it. For example car and trucks: Japan makes vehicles to LAST. America makes vehicles to SELL. Same damn thing here. Sorry to hear your frustration my friend. Keep us informed on what S&W does for you.

If I'm not mistaken, Glock has never put its logo on top of any of their guns before. I like Glocks and hammer guns but this is one ugly pistol. The take-down lever is wierd too. I think this is bull.

I'd like to see it in 45acp. That would probably get my full attention.
-
I just hate the rust it causes .

I'm at work this morning and I swear I have never seen our city put down so much salt ! It's about half inch in some spots I swear! Almost looks like snow accumulating on the road lol.
