  1. He posted the same thing on another members ad. I'm not sure if he's real or some computer troll thing or what , but we seem to be getting more of these type things here on TGO.
  2. When I distribute the oil in my rails after a cleaning , I ride the slide with my hands and control it back and forth.
  3. I never let the slide slam home on an empty chamber AND I don't use the slide-stop as a "slide release". One time I saw a gun store employee at a very nice well known store in Camden sitting behind the counter locking the slide back on a pistol and then pushing the slide-stop and letting the slide slam home. He did it over and over. I just think it's not good to do that on any gun that is not yours. I'm sure the innards on the 1911's are more susceptible to damage by this action but there's no need to do this to any gun in my opinion. Also , like he said with the revolvers , I agree 100% that it's stupid to jerk a revolver and slam the cylinder inward to lock it. But this is just my opinion.
  4. What is the date of manufacture ? Are you the original owner ? Also how many rounds through it ?
  5. This is a great introduction gun to the younger members who don't know about DA/SA .

  7. These are 1911 grips from my full-size 1911 S. A. mil spec with the "crossed cannons" . They are plastic. $25 . A US Postal money order is fine and shipping is free. I dont use "electronic" money or paypal. Thanks for looking. I've got a wooden pair from the factory on a seperate ad. If you want to buy both I can take off $5.
  8. Jeremiah is a top notch TGO member.
  9. Heck yeah ! My PX4 compact has the Beretta "stealth" levers and the Langdon trigger bar that has the crazy-awesome trigger reset !
  10. These are my wood grips taken off from my Springfield Armory 1911 full-size. My camera wouldnt show the color exact but they are the normal S.A. wooden grips from the factory. They are wood and never used. $25 and shipping is free. I dont do the paypal or other electronic pay, just a US Postal money Order or cash if you are near me.

  14. OMG , She was so pretty in Tron . Her in those glasses , dang she was a beauty when I saw that movie when I was in school ! After that my goal was to find a girl with glasses. I married my wife and never knew she had glasses (she wore contacts) until one day when her contacts were messed up. I was happy !
  15. That serial number prefix puts it around 2003 , so it has the true Tenifer treatment making it darn near rustproof. Nice !!!!!

  20. While patrolling, I was checking on a church that got torn up. Their church van was blown over . I got to looking and some crack head had took advantage of this storm damage to cut off the catalytic converters. Unreal how low thiefs are. Really low down scum.
  21. I'd go with the CZ75 in all steel. It's a classic and it's design has been used all over the world , cloned , and copied. Parts are extremely easy to find.
