  1. I got a old holster thats been in a basement and has gotten hard. Made for a Glock 43 OWB by Cobra Gunskin , which is nice and I got it cheap. I'm trying to soften it up since it's as hard as a rock. It had a strap but I tried oiling it and I was easy on it but the strap cracked so I cut it off. I am trying to save the rest of it. I have used Neatsfoot oil inside it and outside it. It has softened just a bit but not much. I took a toothbrush and used Neatsfoot oil scrubbing it down good. What is the best way to soften an old leather holster ? This didn't cost much so if it's no good then I'll throw it away. I will add that I put it in an oven at as low as I could go at 170 degrees and made it warm and then rubbed the Neatsfoot oil into it. Heck , I dont know LOL

  3. True. Here's my Glock 23 , which is the same as a Glock 19, on top of the M&P9. The only part that makes it a tad longer is the beaver tail.

  6. Those bananas are pretty good size. Your house must not be cold .
  7. Free bump for a nice slim .45ACP. This is the gun that the Glock 36 should have been. If you have ever handled or owned a Glock 36 then you know what I mean. This is sooooo much thinner than the Glock 36. I have one and really like it.
  8. Ive always heard that the Chinese made them from old railroad steel and such and they were darn near indestrucitable. I remember in the 90's seeing them in cardboard boxes for $200 still packed in cosmoline. Stupid me should have bought 2 LOL .

    Snow

Yep , we had an HVAC technician out today and it's some door thingy and something else keeping it from making warm air. It is under warranty THANK GOD ! Parts are ordered and until then we are surviving on kerosene LOL . We grew up heating with a wood stove and a kerosene back-up so its not too bad.

Yes , it switched over to emergency heat mode last night. The kerosene heater was able to bring it back up to proper temp.

The house heat pump is having a hard time keeping up with the temperature. I had to start up our kerosene heater to help out our heat pump.

    Snow

One day I was almost done with my 12 hour shift. We had around 5 inches of snow that night. I answered a crash call . I arrived at a Toyota Tacoma that some soldier was driving. It was upside down resting on its roof. The entire area was flat and the ditch wasn't even deep. Completely flat. I couldn't resist and so I asked the solider what happened? He said "officer , I am from the north and I know how to drive in snow!!!!" But yet his truck was upside down and in a 35 mph zone. I told him how I had been on patrol , working car crashes for the last 11 hours driving a 2 wheel drive 4,000lb car and I had traveled almost 100 miles that night going crash to crash according to my odometer. He just sat there confused. So I agree with you Greg , how the hell do these people survive ?

    Snow

I worked in a grocery store from 1989 until 1997. I was in the dairy department. When it snowed I never had to worry about rotating the milk to get the later dates in the back. Customers were grabbing milk like mad .

I never go to Walmart if I can help it except for engine oil and HVAC filters. I was there yesterday and people were buying small electric heaters like they were going out of style !
