  1. CPD have Glock in .40 . I have seen APSU have Glock and Beretta . MCSO have SIg in .40 for the road deputies and some of the Jailers use Glocks . Tn State Troopers are using Glocks . They did have .40 caliber but have now went to the .357Sig caliber.
  2. There was a Walmart shooting here in Clarksville back about 4 yrs ago . Two thugs were shooting at each other in the parking lot. My old High School Coach Willard Ross was in the parking lot selling fireworks under a big fireworks tent with his wife. When the 2 thugs were shooting , one of the bullets got Coach in his neck and killed him . That was really terrible . Carry carry carry if you are able to do so .
  3. Quietguy hit the nail on the head ! If you use the 9rd mags the G30 becomes almost an inch shorter in height and this really helps with reducing the print. The 9rd magazines have a flush floor plate like the Glock 26 and 27 . The "normal" G30 mags have that huge base plate and I hate it .
  4. On the main strip in Pigeon Forge there is a Catfish place called "Huck Finns" . It is good Catfish and fried chicken . My wife and I always "waddle" out of there full .
  5. HOLY MOSES !!! That looks like a satellite that should be in orbit around Earth durring the Cold War Era . Just kidding Craig .
  6. I did a grip chop to my G22 . It now accepts G27 mags. I also sanded down its RTF which was really aggressive. It all took me about 2 hrs to do it. That doesnt include me going to the ER when I jammed the exacto knife through my hand while trimming the grip.
  7. I use the fat and meat of the deer . If the meat that you take to a processor tastes odd ,then he probably had it out to long . I cut mine up ASAP and get it in the fridge or freezer . Most people that say that deer meat has a "wang" is because the meat has been at room temperature too long . If it is about 45 degrees or lower I hang mine for a day gutted on a rope . If it is above that degrees I butcher it right away .
  8. Cool , thanks and I got a pm headed your way !
  9. I have always butchered my own deer . I shoot them , skin them and butcher them all on my own . I am self taught as my father was a but-hole and wouldnt teach my brother and me anything . I have always cut off and kept almost every and I mean every part of the deer to eat . even the front leg meat and meat that most people throw away all the time . I dont waste it at all . I eat it all . I dont believe in taking it to a place to process it , I do it all . SO ......I was wondering if any of you guys do this and if you do , I would like to know a way to get the "proper" cuts out of the deer like how to get the rib meat out or how to "properly" cut the different segments and cuts out . I have did it my own way so long that I would like to see a different way . Kinda like the drawings you see of cows in a butcher store where there is a cow with drawing on where the sirloin is and the rump roast and the flank steak and such .
  10. There is a lot of things that fly under the radar simply because the news never hears about it. I went to a call where a guy shot himself in the thigh with an XD and it never made it to the news .
  11. I almost bought one of the Taurus PT22's back in 1994 . Kinda wish I did . They were around $145 then new

    Tricked out Glocks

WOW a Gen 2 !!! If you do the grip chop like I did with your Gen 2 smooth grip it would be the ultimate gun ! At least for me ! . I would leave the stippling alone . The smooth grip rocks for me . Let me and others know how it goes and comes along . Let me know if you need any help and thanks for the compliment .

    Tricked out Glocks

Hi there , I did this to my G22 RTF just a few months ago . I had a G22 with the RTF texture . I had previously sanded down the RTF because it was really abrassive to me . I was like you , I had an extra gun that I wanted to do something "diffferent" to . So I sanded the RTF until it was smooth . It looked kind weird but felt GREAT! Then I decided to cut the grip length down from the fullsize 22 to the size of a G27/26 . I measured and measured and used my G27 frame as a guide and a magazine from the G27 as a guide and I made it fit the G27 magazine flush . Here is a picture . I used a Dremel to do the rough cutting and then used an "Exacto" knife or "hobby" knife to do the fine cutting . BE CAREFULL , I ran the Exacto knife into my hand and had stitches put in ! Let me know if you need any help . I am glad to help . Also Graycrait on here is a fine Glock smith . He has LOTS of knowledge with modifying Glocks . The way it is now , with the fullsize slide and sub-compact frame is AWESOME!!!!! I will never sell this gun !!!! Also , if you want the barrel to be shiny like Chrome , then goto Advance Auto or Autozone , they are everywhere here (you live in my town ) and get some "Mother's Aluminum " wheel polish . It is a white colored polish and used a Dremel with a polishing wheel that has cloth on it . It will take about an hour or two to do the barrel but it will turn out good and it is a lot cheaper than sending it to someone . THis will not cause it to rust . The Tenifer treatment is inside the metal , therefore it wont hurt anything .
  14. HAHAHAHHHAH OMG ! I love Chef , he is hillarious ! Not to hijack this thread , but I went down to Memphis to trade guns with a member on here . When coming back up through Hwy 79 I went through a town , I cant rememeber but he was born and raised here in Tennessee
  15. TGO David and others , not to go astray but this may help the original poster and me too : How hard is it to install the Apex kit and around how much does it cost ? I can do about anything to a Glock but I am still new to the M&P's . For the original poster , I love my M&P9 . I have the stock M&P 9mm full size . With the small grip on it , it is the best feeling polymer pistol ever for me and that is saying A LOT because I am a "Glock guy".
  16. I hate watching anything involving police or law shows and all that drama but that is funny as heck !!!!!!
  17. If this does'nt bring a tear to your eye then you are not human . I love animals and this is one reason why . What a good boy . Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson's dog sits by coffin during funeral | Mail Online
  18. Get the G22 . It is fullsize just like the original good ole reliable G17 . Plus I believe that Glock was the first to try the S&W .40 cartridge even though S&W designed it .
  19. I have the regular M9 the one without the light-rail . They are sweet and cycle smooth as BUTTA . They are seriously good guns and very very accurate .
  20. Oh Lawd ,,, a Glock hater ....Just kidding ! Seriously , this is from my own experience . I have carried the same Glock 22 for 14 yrs now at work in the rain , snow , dust and everything else . It has never rusted nor failed . It has been dropped , scratched , and slid across pavement . Been in mud and all kinds of stuff . I just dont see that good of performance and reliability happening to a 1911 if put through the same things . I have a 1911 and I love it , but I just dont think it can stand the same torture and come out as good as the Glock can . Especially the rust resistance . That is just my $.02
  21. There is nothing to do about it , that is the shop's price and I cant change that . So I walked out . I am just shooting the bull on here and sharing information with people.
  22. Yes , It was used and I am a mechanic and knew it was a good deal so I bought it . That is how I got my user name "Tercel89" I bought a used 1989 Toyota Tercel for $4,000 back in 1993 with 50,000 miles on her . It is still going strong with over 300,000 miles on it . And has the same clutch and burns no oil .
  23. You sir , are exactly like me . I agree with that 100% . Tell me what you want the first time. If I dont like it , I walk .
  24. Keep the GLocks because they are relaible and dont have close tollerences . People that have high-end 1911's brag about close tolerences and being so smooth but if you have that , you have a greater chance of dirt and debris clogging and jamming your gun where a gun with less tollerence will just keep working .
  25. OH , and Glock30 wins !!!!!!
