I am up to 100 rounds of the cheap Winchester bulk ammo 36 grain and 1280 FPS , so far so good and no problems . And this is with no cleaning. I'll keep you guys posted. I may clean it and then keep shooting it. But it has really done great.

Last Christmas my wife got me a Beretta Bobcat . I only shot it first to function test it. It ran fine . Today , 10 months later I shot a lot of rounds through it . No one malfunction at all ! I was using cheap Winchester bulk ammo 36 grain and 1280 FPS is what it is rated at . It ate it like candy . This was really a nice surprise as I usually see that guns with no extractor need a really high velocity or more expensive ammo. I am gonna send a crap load more down its throat later on . But for now this is a little awesome toy ! Again I really dont like guns with no extractor but this little guy is running like a well oiled sewing machine .

I just changed my stock mag release button on mine to the regular Glock mag release button and got rid of the extended slide stop for a stock/regular slide stop . I like my 34 to be pretty much a G17 with a long slide . I think the 34 is the 17 of today or what the 17 should have been to begin with in the 80's .

They were short-lived but the 9mms , as with almost all CZ pistols , seem to be way better than the other calibers

I just was watching news channel 5 out of Nashville Tn and Nashville Armory was going to be on there today so check it out ! It looked really big !

I listen to talk radio 99.7 out of Nashville Tn . On sundays from 6pm till 8 is Dr. Josh Axe. He states that if you are getting enough raw vegetables and meats and all then no shot is needed. I have been on a diet since november and I have lost 60lbs . I eat raw foods and whole foods and even use honey for my allergies. I havent gotten sick since ! If you take care of your body and treat it right then it will take care of itself and you . I have quit the fast food and pizza and all highly refined foods and grains and sugary drinks like Coke and sweet tea. It has been great ! I went from 42 in the waist to 36 in the waist.

Awesome . I am like a nerd when it comes to Owls. They are the "Bomb" !
-
The owl , especially the Great Horned Owl , is my favorite animal of all . I never understood why the Eagle is our national bird . The Owl is such an awesome creature. I read that pound per pound , the owl is one of the most efficient killing/hunting machines that there is in the world . When they swoop in to grab prey their wings are silent . I could go on and on about them. When I was going to work one night , there was a Great Horned Owl that swooped in toward my patrol car and went right across the hood without touching it . That owl was at least , and I say again , at least 5 foot wide with his/her wings spread out . Those big yellow eyes are awesome !

I wanted it and would buy it but the grip safety is what made it a negative for me

I have taken my grandmother many times on a yard sale "cruise" . She loved to go to yard sales. Well she did something that just embarressed my wife and me : She talked a fellow down from a dime to a nickel !!!!!! I thought to myself , sweet mother of God , get me out of here !!!!! She was around 75 at that time. IT was embarressing !

I like your style ! That is what I do . I dont ask to go $100 below the listed price like some slobs do . And like you said , if it is a good price I just pay it and if I dont like it I dont buy it . I met a great guy on here , I forget his name , but a real nice guy , he had a G30 made in 1997 for sale . I didnt have the cash but I had a new in box S&W M&P9 and I offered him it and some cash and he accepted. Times like that are acceptable I think . Offering a good offer with no junk or stupid low amount . I wish I could think of his user name because he was a great guy ! Hey I just found his user name , it is swim615. He is a great guy and I guess you could say this is a boost for his status . He did me well and is a great guy !

My wife is also a teacher and I feel the same as you . She has to pay a load out of her own pocket for simple things that I think should be given to teachers to begin with . She has to buy glue , paper ,,,,,,,,, on and on . It is just sad .

The 9mm yes , the .40 no . There have been noteable reports and fixes by S&W for magazines being ejected during firing of the Shield in .40 caliber. Take a visit to mp-pistol.com and ask about them over there . I have no personal experience with the .40 but I do with the 9mm. In the 9mm I did experience a lot of failure to go back into battery when I do a "press check". Some guys say that most guns do this but I dont own a single gun that will not go back into battery when I slightly pull the slide back to inspect the chamber . When S&W fixes that issue I will get the Shield in 9mm
-
I dont blame you . No I.D. no gun !
-
kinda , yeah , depends on your size and your pockets. BUt if you are standing up and not sitting then the back pocket is fine .
-
Inside the box that it comes in should be a brochure that contains pictures and lists companies that make holsters for the shield.

I fiddled with one for 2 weeks. It shot great but when I would do a "press check" the slide would stay out of battery. I posted this on another forum and lots of people say that most of their pistols will do the same. I guess they were trying to defend the Shield. But the one I was shooting did it with and without a magazine in it. I tried this on my other pistols and they wont do it . All of my pistols will preform a press check and return to battery just like normal. This is the only thing I didnt like about the Shield 9mm. But again I say that it did shoot great and function fine . Just seems like the recoil spring was a little too weak to move the slide forward when it was slightly retracted. If this gets fixed or remedied , then I will definitely buy one for a back-up gun to take to work as a companion to my G22 . Right now I use a G27 so the thinness will be welcomed !

Yes I agree 100%

I had a Benefactor account here last year and let it expire . I think I'm gonna renew it . I always had great dealings with the members on here. Even made some friends too.

I have a G17 that I bought brand new , I never shot it and it just sat in my safe and sat . Well I decided to sell it to get me a S&W M&P40 at my local gun shop. Yeah yeah yeah , I know , I am a Glock guy but I just want one. I had the price set at a firm and fair price. I swear that I have gotten so many low ballers that it is pathetic ! Some people were offering just stupid low ball prices . Now I understand that it is ok to ask a lower price than what the seller is asking for but $100 is pathetic. It almost makes me want to keep my G17 . What I cant understand is why these "lowballers" waste their time and mine on just stupid offers ? I guess they are hoping that someone is just desperate to sell and they just take the offer. Anyways Rant over .

Graycrait is correct and knows his stuff on both the M&P and the 1911 platforms. I like both platforms. My 1911 runs just fine with ball ammo . I havent even tried hollow point ammo in mine. But as far as weight is concerned and rust resistance and American products are concerned I say I would choose the M&P in 40 or 45 . The weight is way much better , the rust-resistance is way better and the magazines release is reversable for left handed guys/gals. I have removed a thumb safety on my M&P40 to get rid of it and all I needed that was different than a GLock was a roll-pin punch in order to not flatten the roll pin. That is the only thing on the M&P that I dont like , the roll pins. Now if we could choose ANY country's pistol for our military, I would choose the Glock 34, 35, or the 21 .

On the lower left it that a single action S&W ? Or a Star ? Looks to me like a single action Star . I cant read the writngs on the slide .
