Wow! That is fantastic. Anything that gives more jobs to people of Tennessee is great, but especially the firearms industry. That reminds me though - whatever happened to Remington moving here?

Get the word out. To anyone who considers themselves even halfway conservative that can see past their own nose. Vote for Carr. Then we won't have to gripe about Alexander anymore. And then do it again when it's Corker's turn.
-
Nope. Not gonna waste any more time on Obongo than necessary.

Got about 3" in Meigs County. Still coming down.

Good for you. I find it pretty offensive to myself and the constitution for such crap to be sold, but... where there's money to be made, it doesn't matter what's at stake, I guess.

Oklahoma introtuces gun bill named after Piers Morgan

Now that would be great. Any time we can decrease the number of "permits" and "licenses" we need is a wonderful thing. -
Connecticut scrambles for amnesty plan

Huh. Not so bad after all, I guess... we may just win this thing, guys. -
Imagine that on a nationwide scale. If folks were the same today as they were back then, I think we would have seen something on a much larger scale by now.

Be my guest! I ain't famous enough to copyright what I say, hehehe.

Hello, my name is Lamar Alexander. I am a loyal servant of the people of Tennessee, and a dirty stinkin' useless wet-noodle RINO son of a blabbityblabbity, vote for Joe Carr instead and retire my ignorant ancient progressive butt, or suffer another four years of classic progressive Republican compromise bullcrap. My name is Pat, and I approve this message.

Nice. Basically calling Chicagoans un-American, which, for those who prescribe to the statist mentality of Chicago, is very true. I can hear it now. "WELL IF GUNS MEANS AMERICAN, I DONT WANTO BE AMERICAN. da bears" Well, pack yer bags, numbnuts...

TN nullification of Obamacare and all federal gun laws
Pat replied to Erik88's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
One can only hope! We can all say "it'll never pass", but if we don't try and keep trying, we won't ever get anywhere... like someone else said on this forum recently, we'll use the lib's tactics against them - ask for a mile, and take an inch at a time if we have to. -
Any Machinists Here? Need Milling Machine Help
Pat replied to Clod Stomper's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Hmm... another option - punch in the markings you found on the chuck into Google and see what comes up. There's several different sizes of tapers for inside of a chuck, even with same-sized chucks. Once you find out the information, a good place to buy from is MSC (http://www.mscdirect.com/); they have a store in Atlanta, and so you can get stuff shipped within a day easily. If I order stuff by mid-afternoon from them, I usually get it either the next day or the day after, without sped-up shipping. Little Machine Shop is good for small machine tools and tooling as well. -
At Democrats' request-Bloomberg is giving up on gun control
Pat replied to Erik88's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That's why we should bring the issue up ourselves. Out of nowhere, bring up a bill to repeal some small part of federal firearms law, just to bring the issue back up and actually take a dang proactive stance on gun rights. Just to stick it in their craw... -
So... I wonder if some pro-freedom/intelligent R should bring up the question of lessening federal gun control... force the issue on the dastards...
-
Joe Carr, guys. Wake up and smell the conservatism.
-
Get used to it, because if Obongo had his way, that's the most dangerous gun we could have! Hah.
-
See, this is why you think ahead and don't wait for the talking heads to tell you to stock up. Or even better, to remain stocked at all times... bah, it's only two or three days.
-
That's where buying used guns comes in handy, ya ain't got to worry about that... I hate the thought of marring my guns, but if it's more than a range toy, it's gonna happen, unfortunately.

Uh huh. This is a good idea, but something of this nature is one that must be done verbally... with no record... I'll strongly second what Spots said as well. A sense of unity among we liberty-pursuing folks in our aspirations is vital, but doing so over the internet or even over phone nowadays is a good way to get a visit from the NSA, ATF, DHS, FBI... etc., etc., etc....

Can I ask a question? Who here, on this board, can honestly say they would really and truly take up arms and go into full rebellion, should federal or state gun control measures be implemented? Saying and doing are two different things, but I feel that if government or a nation feels it needs to disarm its populace, then said government is too restrictive for anyone with any sense of independence or freedom to live under.

And even among supposed freedom-loving folks, even on this board, it's hard to find people nowadays with similar sentiments... -
I agree. Being a youngster myself, I'd say that some sort of reactive target is better for a first-time shooter... I'd recommend something like a two-liter soda bottle or a one-gallon milk jug. Then throw in some soda cans, one-liter bottles or half-gallon jugs, water balloons, etc. If you can set up something like an 8x8 sheet of plywood hanging from a tree limb or something, that would be good as well. Once the feller's comfortable, then you can throw in a real ringed target - about 12 x 12, with only three or so rings... about a three-inch bull's eye.

Every business with any damn sense would get as far from that liberal, dopeheaded cesspool as they can...

My family tradition? Eh. Get up, have breakfast, open up the gifts sometime or another... then about eight hours later, eat turkey! That's about it.
