1. Only four? Dang.   1. MP5SD3. Full auto, suppressed, retractable-stock. Would be cool and practical!   2. A sawed-off Remington 870 or 1100, or Browning A5. Cut the barrel to just past the mag tube, and cut the stock off to the grip. Talk about a carry gun! Actually, I suppose I could have one of these realistically even with the damn NFA. Hmmmm.   3. An M1919 would be great. Stick it in the back of the truck, or maybe out the bathroom window.   4. Um... Well, I would like an RPG-7, personally. May as well end my list with a bang.
2. Hmm. I see the reasoning, and it's making sense... You're all right, evil black rifles are probably at a premium price across the board, so maybe I should just wait a while until a 94C gets in stock somewhere. Welp, thanks guys.
3. Hey, hi, TGO.   I'm faced with a conundrum! I've saved up enough money that I can probably buy a Saiga 7.62x39 rifle, which after some research is something I've been considering as perhaps an ideal gun for my SHTF fantasies. All I've read indicates that they're as reliable as a real AK would be, and accurate enough for shooting within maybe 200 yards. Yet they're cheap enough that I can buy one. :P   At the same time, it might also be a good idea to get one while I can, just in case some stupid gun laws pass through and Saigas end up banned or severely restricted.   But then, I've been really wanting a Marlin 1894C for months now. A perfect companion gun for my .357 Mag revolver in appearance and ammunition, and also suitable for my SHTF fantasies... also capable of use for hunting, although the Saiga would be as well. I will be waiting a while for one of these, though, and they're a pretty penny.   So... I'm leaning towards a Saiga at the moment... I guess I mainly want to hear if there's any problems with them as well, but it's a tough choice. Do I wait for an unknown time and get what I've been dreaming of or get a hopefully good gun now? Or is the threat of a gun ban enough to make a Saiga purchase rational? Hmm.   That's where TGO comes in! I'd like two cents, please.
4. Hrmmm.   The gun? Well, it depends on what kind of situation. If it's zombies, my 10/22 would work. I have a 25-round mag, and the gun has a 3-12x scope. If it's not zombies, I think the 10/22 would still be superior to the other working rifle I own, a Marlin 336. Although it'd be much more effective, only holding 7 rounds and kicking strongly would offset that.   Then again, ideally - meaning any gun, whether I have it or not - I would go with a Saiga 7.62x39. Reliable, accurate enough, and 10 round mags are good enough for me. A scope would be nice, maybe with see-through mounts to keep the irons usable.   For the blade... I'm keeping my friend's Gerber machete while he's away, so that that that. That thing is razor sharp, and tough enough to chop down hickory quicker than an axe. Believe me, I've done it, bahahaha. It wouldn't be the most ideal thing for combat, because of the blade shape and position, but oh well...   Ideally, a more proper machete with an 18" or so blade, single or double edge, would be better for combat, but... as a tool... not sure.   It's always fun to think about this kind of stuff.
5. I personally compare enacting federal gun laws after a shooting to buying a security system after your neighbor gets robbed. A security system that doesn't work to begin with, I might add. I really need to buy a Saiga.
6. Honestly, that sounds low to me... There are a lot of things I see when I'm out and about that no sane driver should do. A big problem I see is tailgating - it's not surprising to see two or three people going at 55 or 60, with only a car length or two between them. That is too dang close.   My theory on why driving tests are so easy is, people need transportation to go to work. Since we are long past the days of one parent working and the other raising the kids and tending to the home, everyone must have a driver's license. Thusly, driving tests are made simple and easy so people can get a driving license in order to go work at McDonald's or Walmart...   My dad tells me often about how his mother didn't even know how to drive. Keep in mind, my dad is 70, but. From how he sounds, his family - mom, dad, and five or so kids - got along just fine with just the father working and the mom staying home.   I'm probably just crazy and cynical or something. Hmmmm.   Either way! I do think driving tests should be tougher, the instructors more stringent, and the laws better-enforced...
7. Well, I wouldn't want someone swinging a 24 pound hunk of steel at something two feet from my hands! No thank you.
8. This ran through my head, too. We have a black walnut tree in the yard, and it produces a boatload of nuts each year. I don't have any kind of estimate, but it's a lot. Four or five wheelbarrow loads, this year! Nuts are plenty good for you, so it's a great food option to have - you just have to keep the dagnab squirrels out of them, which produces an entirely different food opportunity. Of course, there's all kinds of nut trees throughout the Tennessee woods. Hickory's another good one. I've heard even acorns are edible if you fix them right, but that's beyond me.
9. Well, this is why I'm glad I was homeschooled. I learn a true, quality set of values and sense, not a bunch of horse puckey force-fed to kids in public school to make us all think, look, act alike. I was subjected to that for four years, and that alone was enough for me. Ugh.
10. I'm following this like stink does roadkill. Thanks for posting this, Spots, you went and infected me. LOL
11. Heh... That's pretty neat, I like it.
12. WOW. Now that's a hand cannon! I applaud any and all interest in huge handguns. That thing is a beast.
13. This is really a shame... You know, I go to a public range by Benton in the national forest. Most of the time the people there are pretty professional about stuff. Wait for people to appear unloaded, then ask clearly if the range is clear before goin' down range. Only once or twice have there been any rowdy fools. Hopefully the kid gets better, and I really hope this doesn't get turned into some idiotic reasoning for anti-gun crap.
14. This kind of stuff interests me greatly... surviving alone in the wild, being completely independent. It's a shame it isn't more common, I think that people like this guy really set a standard that more people should strive for... and not even necessarily alone, but even a family homestead is a great, admirable thing.
15. I like the sound of CZ9x19, myself. Somebody else suggested it, though. Um... Hmm. You could just go with CZ9, too. Short n' sweet.
16. Awesome. I got a 336W a few years ago, although it was brand new ^^' According to the serial, it was made in either 2009 or 1909, ahahaha... I love my 336, and I bet you'll love yours! And for only $250, that's something else.
17. Pat

New 10/22

Whooooa, that's cool! I don't know why I was expecting some ugly plastic-stock thing. That looks really nice! I really like the design and polish on the bolt, that's neat.
18. Dang! Good for you and your son, that's a nice deer. ...I like the gun, too!
19. Well... The only pretty gals out there as far as I'm concerned are pale ones, so I see nothing wrong here! Dang, though. That's pretty pale.
20. That's... pretty dumb, gotta admit. I disagree with it as a whole, any student in a school should have to meet the same requirement. Doesn't matter if they're Asian, black, ADD, or what. If they can't do it, too bad. I feel the same way about getting jobs. No special considerations for anybody. I guess I was pretty lucky that most of my gradeschool schooling was done at home, I only had to deal with this nonsense for four years. Ugh.
21. That's... fast... um... wow. I don't, er... ...Well, they say everything's bigger in Texas, anyway!
22.
I don't really like the idea of Puerto Rico becoming State 51 either... eh... I second the notion of Tennessee seceding. The leading members of TGO should comprise the parliamant or senate or whatever the Gun Nation of Tennessee would have.
23. Eh, I think ammo and magazines are of great importance for the time being. You may even look into just enough reloading equipment for the one gun you have or would mainly use, as others have said. I mean, I'm all for more guns for everybody who deserves them, but you gotta prioritize too...
