breadstain.. I noticed in your profile it list your "Occupation" as "Nuclear Security". If you're looking for this type work you could check Oak Ridge National Laboratory, or TVA. just a thought.

Yes.. more than a few times I have been viewed as strange or weird. Many times my thoughts and opinions seem to be far outside the box to others, as I wonder... what box. Took a vacation last year to Amelia Island, Florida. A nice place to visit, relax, walk the beach, and do something I love to do... metal detecting. I guess I love the solitude? It will never take the place of my mountains... but it's nice. And if you look close you may see a .357 Magnum... or external catheter. You don't have to look to hard to see the long pier that's behind me in the picture. This pier is on the north end of the island at Fort Clinch State Park. The pier is a little over 1/2 mile long. It runs along the rock jetty that extends far out in to the ocean. The jetty protects the Cumberland Sound inlet where the St. Mary's River meets the Atlantic Ocean. A walk down this long pier can be a very peaceful time. We walked the pier to the end one morning during the week. Not many people were their only a few trying to catch a fish. An old man was at the very end with his line out. I could tell he was a local who had been there several times, his face was dark from the sun and wind. I asked him how was the fishing? Oh, I've seen it better, he said, with only a slight glance my way. After some more small talk, I asked him... "You ever see any subs?". For the first time he turned and looked straight at me and said... "You wouldn't Fuc*ing believe it!". As I walked off, I said, "I guess that's a good thing?" This is the inlet to Kings Bay, Georgia. The Submarine Base is the U.S Atlantic Fleet's home port for U.S. Navy Fleet ballistic missile nuclear submarines armed with Trident missile nuclear weapons. And from the way the old man talked, a "world super power" comes and goes on a regular regular basis! I wouldn't worry to much about Iranian gun ships on the Mississippi River... or any river in the World!

Humm? "routine surveillance"? ...was not in Iranian airspace. ...and never entered the 12-mile limit that would constitute Iranian territory. [background=rgb(255, 255, 255)] ...this comes after a U.S. drone crashed in Iran late last year. [/background] OK... if you say so!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing... PG-13 warning!

Sour Kraut, "a normal person"? What would that be? To me it is used to remove an inconvenience. And any time you can remove a problem that takes away from your enjoyment in life, I wouldn't view it as something strange or weird. -
If they added a humidifier to the system, sometimes they will add a small amount of chlorine bleach to the water. Most humidifiers are added near the air handler either on the supply or return duct. Kind of odd it would only have a smell in one section of the house? A call back to the contractor to check the system may be in order?

"you are NOT serious , are you?" Why yes.. I'm serious. This may seem a little strange for a younger man who doesn't have to go as often. When you get older some things change. Some men have an enlarged prostate or urinary incontinence caused by medical problems. Most of the time it isn't a problem unless you do love your coffee as I do and away from a bathroom, then it can put you in a awkward position some times! Many pilots, long distance truckers, race car drivers, and many others use external catheters when they are not able to be near a bathroom. It's not talked about around the dinner table very much, but it may be something you may need to use down the road? -
oddly enough since last night it appears the sun has come up again and the sky did not fall.
Well, the sun didn't come up in Cleveland, TN... and stuff is falling from the sky... But you can't blame it on the South... can you? -
Politico will spin the results like they had it right, all along. They will report the results okay, though. The networks will get the results out quicker, I think. I hate refreshing pages all the time.
It updates automatic.

I don't think any Presidential Election results should be know until the last vote is made in every state.

Well.. if ya got'a go.. you got'a go! And the older you get,, if ya got'a go.. ya really got'a go! About three years ago, we spent a week on the OBX in December. Early one morning I got up early, ate breakfast, drank my normal three cups of coffee, and headed out for a day of metal detecting. The weather wasn't bad at all. Had a cool breeze coming down the beach from the north, but the sun was out, was going to be a great day... I thought? The area I was in had your walkers, yappy dogs, and shell hunters. Guess the nice morning brought more out than you would normally see on the beach this time of year? All was going good... until it hit me... I got'a pee! I was a long way to the bathroom, with all the people around, my only choice was to do a little detecting in the water. The water wasn't real cold...but when it got up to willy, he didn't think much of it! After a quick check of the water, the north wind had more of a bite too! Pat met me up the beach, the first thing she said was... "What are you doing wet?". I told her I had to "go" and walked off in the water... with a big laugh she said, "You peed in your pants!!"... I've never smacked her in 43 years of marriage... that morning was almost a first! To solve this problem... I now wear an external catheter at the beach on cold days of metal detecting and have a choice to go in the water, or not. Race car drivers, pilots, and others use them when a bathroom is not an option. Many use a bag to hold the urine. I just run the tubing down my leg next to my foot... and can now pee in plain site.
I would argue that the rarest whitetail of all is the one who is even in the same area code that I am when whitetail hunting.
Well, I'm sorry about your whitetail hunting. Let me ask you a serious question... Did you happen to see a cougar about three years ago on Signal Mountain? It would have been the same color and size as a Florida Panther, or a tawny colored cat. If you did, I regret to inform you that the one you may have seen was killed. A farmer shot the cougar after missing a farm dog and several stock on his place. It had been seen several times on his property and his neighbors. The neighbor took several pictures of the cat while in the area. The pictures were clear and close enough to tell what it was without question, they will never be shown. The cat was buried within 2 hours of being shot on his farm using a Case backhoe. It was never reported and the farmer made it real clear that he did want it to be known. Four people attended the funeral. The farmer, his neighbor, a good friend, and myself.

Three of us were hunting at Prentice Cooper, I'm guessing in was around 1973? It was a muzzle loader hunt, a friend killed a small albino buck. He said he first thought it may have been a goat until it got closer. He didn't know if he could shoot it or not? Well, he did and at the checking station it had a lot of lookers! He was told several piebald has been taken over the years, but that was the first albino. I didn't know they put them on the no kill list?

In terms of coloration, which whitetails are the rarest of all? Most hunters would claim that distinction belongs to albinos, which lack any pigment in their skin or hair. But as unusual as it is to see a whitetail that’s far too light in color, it’s even less common to see one that’s far too dark. On the continent as a whole, “melanistic†or “melanic†deer – so named because their bodies produce far too much of the hair, skin and retina pigment known as melanin – are definitely the rarest of the rare. While millions of whitetails have been harvested across the continent in modern times, only a token number of cases of melanism have been documented. In fact, it’s safe to say that most whitetail hunters have never even heard of melanistic deer, much less seen one. For that matter, only a few research biologists ever have observed one in the flesh. Among those who have are Dr. John T. Baccus and John C. Posey of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. Their school’s location between San Antonio and Austin gives them handy access to melanistic whitetails for research, for as it turns out, most of the world’s supply of these animals lives within an hour’s drive of the campus. The eastern edge of Texas’ Edwards Plateau region and adjacent areas of the Blackland Prairie region are the epicenter of the world’s population of melanistic whitetails, for reasons not well understood even by the two researchers. In going over the scientific literature, Baccus and Posey have been unable to find any record of melanistic deer being documented anywhere prior to 1929. Melanism has been shown to occur in a variety of animals, including mammals such as squirrels, many felines and canids, and coral snakes.

Court OKs warrantless use of hidden surveillance cameras

"Two defendants in the case, Manuel Mendoza and Marco Magana of Green Bay, Wis., have been charged with federal drug crimes after DEA agent Steven Curran claimed to have discovered more than 1,000 marijuana plants grown on the property, and face possible life imprisonment and fines of up to $10 million." I vote to legalize marijuana! -
I need to get a few trail cameras, I have a large black cat I would love to catch...as if I had something to prove? I do have several deer to visit out back, last week I took this picture just before dark... Pat(wife) told me last week two bucks were fighting in the back yard... I looked and told her that was the twin six-pointers just playing. I saw them several times when they were fawns. Here is a picture of one of the twins... Pat has already said the deer in the back are "off-limits". I think my son has talker her into taking a buck? This years garden ended up being called "deer food"... so he may talk her into taking one? This 8-pointer walked by the back deck last year... Didn't get a picture of the "Big 12", only saw him one morning... and he was in a hurry! That buck would have booked! Best at ya! -Wayne
