Anyone have experience with Dave Ramsey classes?
knox replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
Doesn't sound like you are a slave to credit, since you pay it off monthly. So how is it that you disagree with me? I also have a credit card that I use, and pay it off each statement. I am not a slave to credit, I master it. i don't understand your reply. I didn't mention credit CARDS, but rather CREDIT itself. -

I love his slogan "Live like no one else now, so you can live like no one else later". Spend less than you make, sacrifice WANTS in order to save, and you will get ahead. You either cut your spending or increase your income. After years of listening to him, that's what it all boils down to. And don't be a slave to credit just because you don't want to wait to get that new TV or car. I do think there has to be a balance struck. I don't think I would work 3 jobs for a year and never see my family just to get out of debt, but the principle is sound. -
I personally wouldn't carry like that, but if he doesn't have one in the chamber, Glocks are pretty safe from accidental disharges. I have no problems with open carry - it's our right. And we shouldn't allow others, especially anti-gunners, to infringe on our rights. I haven't opened carried myself, but if you want to, I applaud you for exercising your rights as a Tennessean and an American.

One quick glance at the BCS National Champions for the past 7 years will clearly show it is the SEC vs everyone else, with the SEC winning 7 straight. I don't know why the SEC is stronger than every other conference, it just is. And I don't see that changing any time soon. Looks like TX A&M just strengthened the SEC a bit more.

Got my return papers. Now the long wait when I send it back. I will miss my PPS...

Eh, it could be a lot worse. I still have my Glock 19 (my friend who was going to buy it last month actually just came over to talk me out selling it, and I am glad he did). I love the PPS, and have no doubt all will be well.

I wish I could, but I signed an agreement that any problems with the gun would be handled by the manufacturer (bought at Academy Sports).

Finally got a reply, which is weird since I sent my email to customerservice@waltheramerica. I will have to call them Monday. ______________________________________________________________ Hello, Please contact Walther Arms at there new contact number below as Smith and Wesson no longer handles that specific product line. Thank You, Customer Service Smith & Wesson. Walther Arms Inc. Attn: Service Dept 7700 Chad Colley Blvd. Fort Smith, AR. 72916 479-242-8500 Walther ArmsWalther Arms

I am part of the PPS forum (same screen name). Thanks for the heads up about the service center.

Still haven't had a reply to my email, but I will give it some time.

Just emailed Walther CS. Thanks for the advice.

I still have not fired my PPS, but I noticed this chip out of the top of the barrel block. Should I be worried? Is it enough to go through the trouble of sending it in for a replacement?
-
I have a Glock 19 and an iphone 5. But I do carry my PPS quite often as well.

I think it will be great if the panic subsides and these people are stuck with all this ammo and such that they thought would make them a huge profit. And regarding Gander - their prices on Glocks were $115 above Bill's Outpost when I bought mine. Fortunately, they priced matched because Bill's was out of the G19. Seriously, $115 ABOVE - and that was the Gen 3. They did have a Gen 4 in the back, so I lucked out.

I always kicked better bare foot as well. I have no idea why, but a shoe always threw my kicks off. Punting... different story.

Pizza Hut Demotes driver for defending himself
knox replied to Mykltn's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Soooo..... Let me get this straight. Pizza Hut would have been happier if he would have just laid down and allowed them to beat him to death. What in the world is WRONG with our upside down country? Punish the victim of a crime for defending his LIFE! Good thing I never eat Pizza Hut. Their food is too greasy. -
I have about 15 lbs to lose before I can IWB carry in my current jeans. And i refuse to buy larger ones. I have already started my diet and exercise program.

Not my picture (HIPPA violations and all), but this is part of my work environment - the Cardiac Cath Lab. I am a pacemaker clinical specialist. I also work in cardiology offices and the occasional emergency room. My job would be much like the guy in the background with his arms crossed, waiting to test the pacemaker leads once the doctor has them placed in the heart. My hands don't touch the sterile field.

I only get one gift at Christmas, from my daughters. They got me a $25 movie gift card (this elf told their mom that would be a great gift for me). Soooo.... To make up for it, I supplemented with a new Walther PPS 9mm. It all worked out :woohoo:

Lots of people have success with the crayon method. Thanks for including that.

It is VERY easy. Paint it, being sure the paint (or nail polish) gets in the letter grooves. Allow to dry (this paint dried in about a minute or two). Then wipe with paper towel wet with fingernail polish remover - NON ACETONE. It doesn't take much remover, just a quick tip of the bottle with the paper towel at the opening. When you wipe the excess off, be sure the paper towel is as flat as possible, so it only cuts through the surface paint and not in the letters.

It's going to take some getting used to. And it is VERY tight right now. It should loosen up with time.

I do love the M&Ps. Will love them even more if I can find a dang Shield!!! Next to Glocks, those are my favorite polymer 9's.
