I see STAGs listed for $1300 - $1400 all the time - even here.  Then you start to see the inevitable price dropping to see what they can get out of it.    Retail Model 1 and model 2 on website - about $950.  Model 3 - $895.   Don't get me wrong - these people can list for whatever they want, and I support free market economy.  But as a consumer, I am simply not going to give someone $400 as a middle man.      I would buy a STAG at $100, but that's my top price.  Otherwise, I have been 44 years without an AR, I can wait a little while longer.

I see ARs sitting longer online these days than what they did a short time ago. I am happy about this because people don't seem to want to pay $400 over retail to these scalpers. I visit Arms List several times a day and see the rifles sitting idle for days and even weeks. If I found a reasonably priced quality AR I would buy it. But it appears others like me are not going to reward price gouging any longer. Maybe the private market is finally saturated ? Either that or the consumer would rather stay on a wait list and pay retail than be raked over the coals for a $900 AR...

I sent my PPS to Walther in Arkansas last month.   Latest email from them is that I shouldn't expect anything until April.     Not happy about that, but the defect in the barrel was too much to trust.  I hope to have it back this summer, hopefully.

That was VERY well done!  I laughed a lot when he started being ping ponged by the cars.

Glad someone mentioned brakes that won't stop the car.  I have that one quite often - I always miss my turn off!!!

I love the 229.  Does the standard 229 have the corrosion resistant coating and short trigger reset that the M11 has?

Are you happy with it?

Before I even went to the range for my first time last year, I read several articles on safety and range etiquette.  I watched several videos as well.  I am still on edge and aware of where my muzzle is pointed when I am there.     This is not only for me to keep from being embarrassed, but for the safety of others as well.   Pride and conceit are such a road block to constructive instruction.  And dangerous!

I am currently building money in my gun account.  I have my next purchase down to either an affordable, mid tier AR or a Sig M11 (or P 229).     Based on nothing, just your first reaction, which would you buy?  No need to even give a reason - these are just to add to my collection. ( I have a Glock 19 and a Remington 870 Express 12 gauge, so my home defense is covered.  And when I get my Walther PPS back hopefully this summer, my carry weapon is covered as well.)   So, which would you throw money at?

My Gen 4 G19 is probably the one gun I will keep until I die, then pass on to one of my kids.  I believe it is the best "do it all gun" there is.

Just ordered 2 G19 Mags.  That will make 7 total for me.   Maybe that will be enough  :yum:

I watch every year.   I just love football.  I don't have a favorite in this year's game, but it's a fun event to watch at my cousin's house.  Food, football, fun commercials and conversations.  What's not to like?

Should I not have bought them?

If I don't end up using them for anything, I have a friend who has two ARs And I can give them to him for a Christmas or birthday gift. Either way, they will get used. I only bought two, and I am not going to put them on gun broker for twice what I paid for them either.

Is that a good brand? I don't know anything about ARs.

I just ordered 2 as well, and don't know if I will ever own an AR15 either.  But this is a nice starting point if i do !
