  1. How to strip down and reassemble the 1911     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6SmlOEzNBs
  2. Get it...     or let me know where it is...
  3. Glad you found your answer Sarge....I like the fact that others on this board will chip in and help a guy with honest questions. Iron sharpens iron.
  4. I would be there at David's table......should he come to the Gray Fairgrounds Show.....I've tried to get reloading stuff at Mahoney's but they are hit and miss (mostly miss) as far as having what I need in stock. I have scored some IMR 3031 there but everything on the shelf lately has been for cowboy action or shotshells. I detest having to pay hazmat fees on shipping, that's why I prefer supporting local businesses. I usually buy small at first to gauge how the store/employees act then buy large if I'm treated with respect.  I'll buy my wife's carry piece in a shop that wants my business.
  5. I found a 4 die set...https://fsreloading.com/lee-ultimate-4-die-rifle-die-set-.223-remington-90694.html   not sure if you can use them......
  6. I thought they might have the parts listing there at the bottom but I did not check. It might be in the sidebar menu...hope it helps, good luck with your search....might try ebay...

  8. Congrats on the new family member!
  9. Well it was the first and last time I will darken their door. I can understand a 1 brick limit but 5 sleeves? I have no doubt they practice favoritism with the hard to find products, from what I saw and heard waiting for "solitare" guy to wait on me....pity too because I saw a nice Ruger LCR in the display case I am thinking about getting the Mrs. for CC. The sale will go elsewhere.....
  10. I have been looking for large rifle primers locally (east TN) with limited success. Most places only have the large rifle magnum primers except for 2 places, Wideners in Johnson City and The Gun Rack in Kingsport. I was in Kingsport for the Farm Expo today so I went by The Gun Rack and they had LRPs and a meager supply of different powders. I asked for a brick of 1000 LRP and was told I was only allowed to buy 500 per day! They had to open a brand new brick to sell me their self imposed daily limit! No explanation was offered when I asked why I was limited to less than a full brick, which they had several on the shelf, and I was told to come back another day if I wanted the other 500. No thank you very much! I'd rather drive to Johnson City to Wideners (they have allotted times for pick up,no walk ins) than to be ignored and have to wait for a counter guy to finish his solitare computer game to tell me I can't have what is on their shelf. I had no idea primers were being rationed. Even at WallyWorld you can get a full box of primers (when they have them). I guess this is more of a rant than anything else, I was just not ready to be ignored then rationed while trying to support a LGS. I guess my money will go to Wideners when I need (and they have) reloading supplies. I can wait a couple of days for pick up knowing I will get what I need......ok, off my soap box now.
  11. Looks like a heavy barrel Israeli FAL, without a bipod, from the muzzle break, butt stock and hand guards.......could be a kit and kobble...nice looking rifle tho...
  12. How is he getting hooked up so fast with the bundle of trees? Impressive flying!
  13. Our "elected" government is trying, my opinion, to start a race war.......
  14. Sweet!  Congrats on the DW!
  15. If you do get it....NEVER NEVER NEVER sell it!  I really regret selling mine but needs be..it was done. Excellent shooter, well balanced, changable barrel lengths, very tight lock up at the cylinder front. I have the Simply Rugged holster for it still...hoping to score another one. The DW is a tough cookie that needs no pampering and will serve you well in the field...mine did...took several Florida hogs with it, one shot (158gr bullets). The down side is finding parts and accessories for it. They are not as common as S&W but they can be had. The folks at Dan Wesson forum...http://www.danwessonforum.com/ are a great help....kinda like TGO except that is is single minded. Good luck!
  16. My Dad is a Korea and Vietnam vet.....he won't talk about it....I have tried through the years to find out what he did during his service....he always changes the subject so I respect his wishes and have stopped asking.
  17. OK....got it........ thanks gents....
  18. My brother in law has taken up an interest in reloading (about time) and asked me a question I am having problems answering. Question is "What is the difference between copper plated bullets and copper coated bullets?"   I thought it was that plated bullets have the lead exposed at the bottom and CC are completely covered? After over thinking and looking at various package descriptions...I'm really not sure anymore....help!
  19. MORE POWER!!!!!!!
  20.       I have always loved watching that video.....
  21. You would have to wake up first, then worry about the covers. My German Shepard is my alarm and acts as a buffer to give me time to become aware of my surrounding then act accordingly. Last winter, a tree branch broke off and hit our back deck during the wee hours and my dog alerted (read scared the crap out of me) to the situation. I have various defensive/alert rings around my dwelling....gives me time to react. My advise is to plan accordingly to what your percieved threat would be....helps you sleep better too..... just my :2cents:
  22.  I can't believe this thread is dragon on........
  23. .....when "3 on the tree" meant something other than Obama, Pelosi  and Reid........
  24. Petzel....and beer...make me see red....
  25. ...when you tell someone to roll up the window and they start pushing buttons..... ...when you tell that same someone that the high beam switch used to be on the floor board...
