  1. Sorry about the noise.  Those 357 mag rounds do get a little noisy.  I'll be shooting something a bit more tame tonight.
  2. Had a great time again at this event.  We missed you Jim.  I had to carry the revolver torch all by myself.
  3. I've started taking a serious look at 38 Special and 357 handloads over the last year.     So far, my favorite 38 Special load is 158 swc with a higher end dose of Bullseye.  Smoky, but accurate and easy on the gun, just a tiny bit of leading.  I tried Power Pistol with the same bullet and my barrel was completely smeared with lead after a handful of shots.   For 357 mag, I'm starting to really like the same 158 gr swc with the minimum level of AA9 and a magnum primer.  I am not convinced I really need a magnum primer with this, but I accidentally bought a box of 1,000 magnum primers, and I saw on AA's reloading site that magnum primers should be used, so I'm doing it.  Nice load, powerful enough for recoil practice, good & loud, absolutely zero leading.
  4. I'm still a newbie to IDPA.  Have only shot 3 matches so far, all have been at Nashville Armory.  I will second ir0nreign10's remarks above.  While I don't have anything to compare to David's matches, I will say that David, Mick, Jim, Darryl and the others have always been great.  I've always felt this is a place and match where I can learn and gain skills.  The crew is friendly, and the courses of fire are challenging, but not too challenging for a newbie to participate.     In addition, with Jim there, I'm not the only sixgun shooter in the crowd.
