  1. As many may already know, the collective brilliant minds at our beloved BATFE have released ATF Rul. 2015-1. However, they missed the mark with their ruling. So we got together and wrote them a letter, and drew them a guide in crayon.......you know, just in case they didn't understand........... Link to the letter: http://aresarmor.com/store/NewsArticle/atf_rul2015-1 Link to the coloring book letter: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99vEBRSpVxralZkNnlHOUFpeVk/view?usp=sharing
  2. I'd really like to see them make the Glock 44 as a full sized .44 magnum! I'd buy a couple.
  3. She is cute and all but I really like the barrel on that 10/22
  4. Customer service finally called me after I turned in 3 customer service tickets. They said they received payment from me but not an order from me. They made it better though there was a lot of "extra" stuff in the box and once they finally got back to me they upgraded it to next day air.
  5. Had an amazing memorial service last night and we are preparing for the burial now. There were over 1000 people signed the book last night. They recorded and livestreamed the service for people who couldn't make it. http://new.livestream.com/hgbc-live/events/3685035 The presence of God was felt by everyone in the room.
  6. Today the funeral plans were made and it seems like it is really sinking in for everyone now that the shock has worn off. We are having viewing and the service Sunday after church and the burial on Monday around noon. I just wanted to say thank you for all of the kind words and your continued prayers during our time of mourning.
  7. This year has been very hard on my wife's family. Back in February my wife's uncle passed away very unexpectedly at a super bowl party. Then around the beginning of July her Mother lost her job (and her insurance ). In the middle of August my wife's Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now undergoing chemotherapy. And last night (Christmas eve) at 10:53pm we lost her grandfather on her dad's side. He had a blood vessel in his esophagus rupture and they couldn't save him. He was on the OR table for almost an hour and was given 3 units of blood but they couldn't get him stable enough to try to get a band on it. He was not only the anchor of the family but also the pastor of outlet little old-fashioned country Baptist church. The family is broken and much in need of prayers and spiritual guidance.
  8. Got a few good things this year: A couple of tools I needed to finish up a few builds 16" 5.56 upper from PSA And my gift I opened almost a month early: a S&W Pro-Series 627-5 8 shot 357 magnum.
  9. The difference is amazing isn't it? I've worn contacts for about 15 years now. When I went to the eye doctor I was so nearsighted that I couldn't even see the big E at the top of the eye chart. Now I can shoot open sights out to 300 yards. It also helps that my wife works for an eye doctor because he gives employees and spouses free contacts!
  10. It's just 440 stainless with a stonewashed finish.
  11. Only reason I buy anything at Wideners is "local pickup" I just run by on Tuesday or Thursday afternoon and carry it out to the truck.
  12. I'm at work using my mobile right now. I tried probably a dozen codes before I found the one that worked last night. I'll look when I get home this evening on my desktop and see if I can find it. I will say it might be for over $100 cause I ordered a barrel too.
  13. I think it was $19 but I had a coupon code for free shipping.
  14. The sheath has pretty good retention as I haven't lost it yet.
  15. I've been carrying it on my belt with the tip up the last couple of days and I really like it. Looks more like this when my shirt is where it's supposed to be.
  16. 300 blackout brass $9.99 per 100 http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/14191/ I went ahead and ordered 500
  17. It was on an end cap between the power tools and hand tools with some Leatherman tools and a couple of Sog knives.
  18. I figured for $20 I'd find a good use for it. It came with a belt clip and some cordage so you can wear it on your belt, as a neck knife, or a boot knife.
  19. Found this monster at Lowe's this afternoon while picking out paint for the nursery. Quarter for size comparison.
  20. Pretty neat! Haven't seen on the of those before.
  21. Not sure of the price but there are only 41 of the 168 grain bullets per pound. 7,000 grains in a pound. 168 grains x 41 = 6,888 grains
