Long time no post, been absent from the forum for quite awhile. A few years ago I changed jobs over to operating heavy equipment all day long, between that and starting a family I haven't spent much time online. Anyway I picked up my first gravity knife, a Paragon Warlock by Asheville steel in s30v with what they call a sorcerer grind. Insanely fun to open and close, and pretty sharp for a factory edge.

Post the last firearm related thing you bought!
z0mbies fear me replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Last firearm related purchase for me was a violin case lol And a random 24", 223 wylde chambered upper from PSA. It hasn't shown up yet so no pic as of now -
A little something for the guys from the tricities area

Couldn't have put it into words any better myself. That's basically the same thought that came to my mind when I first opened mine lol

Back story on the knife copied from SpyderCo's website: "In the 1990s Spyderco was approached by a specialized branch of U.S. law enforcement about making a knife for their undercover agents. These plain-clothes LEOs found themselves in situations where they often could not carry a firearm but carrying a knife was not a problem. Most had no formal training in self-defense tactics or MBC but as a last resort could use a blade to protect or extricate themselves from a life-threatening situation. This was how the Civilian model came to be. The Civilian has a patented reverse "S" blade that's intended to be used like an oversized claw. The tip is ground to an ultra-thin profile. Deeply curved and full at the belly, the VG-10 ground blade excels in slicing and is available fully SpyderEdged. Because of its distinctly specialized features it is not intended or designed for general utility or everyday use. Curved in all the right places for ergonomic use and retention of the knife, the handle is black G-10. A two position cliip supports discreet tip-up or tip down carry on the right side. One of the most specialized CLIPITS in the Spyderco line-up, the Civilian is available in limited quantities."

I've been carrying this one for a while as a backup knife. She finally bit me today. Normally not a serrated blade kind of guy but I love this one!

This thread got me thinking, it's been way too long. So today after work I went to my mom's out in the country. Hadn't planned on going, so I just got my trunk gun out and ran a few hundred rounds thru it.

With a name like Cartel, I'd be disappointed if he didn't have some of the nicest toys lol -
The end of Wideners as we knew it

I bought from them a lot when they still offered local pick up. Guns, bullets, powder, primers, I would plan work in Johnson City on pick up days just so I'd make sure I could get there in time lol. Then they got bought out and cut guns and local pick up, and now powder and primers... It's sad to see -
Long time no post, but life isn't as hectic as it has been so I'm back. Recently I changed the barrel out on my CMT/TGO rifle to a 20" Christensen Arms carbon fiber wrapped 223 wylde barrel. I'm trying to find either a thread protector or a flash hider that is the same diameter as the barrel or at least pretty close to it. I'm not a big fan of brakes due to the added noise and blast to the shooter and the people next to me. Anyway the end of the muzzle looks to be 0.915". Anyone have a suggestion of something close? Edited to add it's a 1/2×28 thread.

I fowarded this to all of my buddies, maybe after a little prodding from me, they might actually buy something nice lol
