Why no Obama budget for four years?
wjh2657 replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Looking at the wrong "gang" on this one. Budget is business of House of Representatives, Republican controlled. Democrats didn't have to hold anything up as our own Conservatives stopped every budget move , except Ryan's, which was not acceptable to even the Republican party. The die hard "Super Patriots" aren't helping us real Americans any more than the Socialist Democrats. We don't have a government anymore, just a "turf war" between two gangs of hoodlums. -
I have a Composite stock H&R Pardner single shot .410 using #4 shot, 3 inch shells that hangs on my garage wall for snakes. I live between large pieces of property abutting a hollow with a creek, prime breeding grounds for copperheads. I Tuff-Cloth the piece leaving minimum maintenance. I don't go looking for snakes but I don't tolerate any close relationships either! .410 is best choice due to limited range of bore. I don't have to worry about knocking out windows in houses 300 yards away! i

Caveat: All below are in my opinion only. The following words are by John Wycliff and pertain to understanding the Bible, However the same guidelines can be used to understand the Constitution of the United States. "It shall greatly helpe ye to understande Scripture, If thou mark not only what is spoken or wrytten, But of whom, and to whom, With what words, At what time Where, To what intent, With what circumstances, Considering what goeth before and what followeth (context)." We don't need to amend the Constitution, we need to read and and understand what the original writers meant to begin with. The Tea Parties (there is not ONE party, but many, each with different ideas and purposes and they pretty much rewrite the Constitution to their own purposes, just like the other two "Gangs" in Washington Democratic Party= Populist Liberals= Demographic Welfare= Socialism "Everybody should be rich" Republican Party= Corporate Liberals= Corporate Welfare (Crony Capitalism) =Greatly Modified Fascism "Only the rich should have anything" Conservatives= "Work hard and make your own wealth" = We buried Goldwater= End of the Breed Conclusion: For all the posturing and BS, there are no Conservatives in our government at this time.

S&W 686, 2 1/2" bbl, Hogue grips. Don't even have to think about aiming it, just look at target and it comes up and puts a hole right on the money!

The Neocons are nothing but liberal progressives hiding under the Republican banner. Benghazi is over. The man is dead and shouldn't have been put into the country while it was still a combat zone (it still is!) The IRS was doing the same things under Obama that it was doing under Bush (different targets is all!) While the Republicans play these dead issues for political currency, the country is going to crap. I left the Republican party during Bush#1, when I realized the Neocons had taken over. I am now a Conservative Independent and yes you can be a Conservative without being a Republican! There are too many critical issues that impact all of us and they are being ignored to appease the corporate "get rich on middle class tax payer money" crowd. I am not a Republican nor a Democrat. I am an American and I realized long ago that I have nothing to do with how our government is being run. The Muslims are not the greatest threat to American freedoms, the two political parties are our enemy.

When it comes to real documented stopping power I am so tired of you woosie .45 ACP guys. Get rid of that "sissy pistol" and get a real gun like the one below. Anything less than a .50 BMG is a "girly gun" and not fit for carry by a real man! Any real "gunslinger" should be should be able to carry this in a Cross Tuck wearing a tight t-shirt and skinny jeans. Let's get real here!

I own many Mossberg 500 shotguns (all gauges but 28 and 16) but my HD mainline defense is a Maverick 88. Also, don't let anybody tell you can't find accessories to customize it. Check out "You don't belong here" below. Bead is also glow in the dark for night.

Graphic about ammo prices of the last 7 years.
wjh2657 replied to wewoapsiak's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
The government is not the reason for the shortage. It is our "Good Ole Boy" fellow gun owners who have raided the supply. I see them leaving WALMART in the morning with their pickup beds full of ammo. They aren't storing it for Armeggedon either, they are selling it for ridiculaous prices at gun shows. There are factions of the press that are keeping the "they are coming for our guns" alive and well to fuel the flame. This isn't a Democratic Party move, it is fringe Republican Neo-Cons hoping to blame all our woes on OB so they can get our votes and put one of their own in the White House in 2016. I left the Republican party during GB's administration. I can't be a Democrat (too Conservative) and now have no political affiliation. We need to string the whole lot up! Were being screwed by our own! -
Harrington and Richardson 922 w/6" barrel. It was my holster gun when I ran muskrat trap lines in my early teens. Simple but very sturdy gun, it was perfect for rugged outdoor work.

The Ten Commandments are binding on the Hebrews and not Christians. If you, as a Christian wish to interpret that the commandments are binding on you (Paul only emphasized them when talking to actual members of the Hebrew community and not when speaking to Gentiles), then be aware that there are 613 (not 10) commandments or Mitzvot in the Torah (Jewish biblical Laws). Many of those listed in Deuteronomy and Leviticus do breakdown and define what we would call "justifiable homicide" and say they are not sin.

In civil cases there no" guarantees" , it doesn't really matter what happened in the shootout. The guy with the best lawyer takes all the money home. The rules of evidence are totally different in civil versus criminal law. Being ruled a "righteous shoot" in Tennessee does nothing for your civil case, it is like you are talking about a whole different occurrence from the shooting you were actually involved in. I have served on civil juries where "disclaimers" and "exemptions by law" were brought up and summarily dismissed and emotion ruled. It is a big soap opera and the best actors win the awards. A verdict of "righteous shoot" does keep you from going to jail but it does nothing to help save the house and the kids' college fund.

Benghazi, AP phone, and IRS scandals. Changing minds?
wjh2657 replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Dems will not run Hillary. They will run somebody we aren't even looking at right now. They will need new political dynamics after 8 years of this administration. Watch for a dark horse at the primaries. -
Received two ten round G23 magazines today from Karen and Charlies Guns. Mission accomplished, thanks to Karen and Charlie!

Bill That Makes Proposing Gun Control Laws a Felony
wjh2657 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This act violates so many other rights as to be ridiculous. Think it through, this is bad. . Yes, I want my Second Amendment rights protected, but I am not willing to surrender all the other rights to do it. -
Oh no. I am crossing over to the dark side.

We don't need Middle East oil, just increase what we buy from Canada and Mexico. IMHO we should stay out the MIddle East completely. Arm Israel and stay away from everybody else. -
If they ever do limit our magazine capacity Glock 23 owners are SOL. Looking to the future and desiring to be able to carry my G23, I have gone to every major supplier in the U.S. and ordered two 10 Round G23 Mags. All now list the mags as out of stock and no backorders. Glock Shop shows my order as "processing" for two months which is their way of holding onto your business when they have no inventory to sell. I don't trust EBay (been burned twice!) Although Glock insists they are still manufacturing the item, absolutely none of the major suppliers has any and do not show they ever will in the near future.

If you want to "mind play" scenarios, try this one. You are in court later and cops are not in the mood (bad public image) to admit that help was really needed. Two possibilities for your "interference" come to mind (I am sure there are many more) 1. You had a reason to want the perp dead, i.e. you are also a bad guy and part of the problem. 2. Cop never was in real trouble (they say) and you killed the perp for no legal reason. Police departments and their officers have to debrief the department heads and their legal agents (County Attorney, DA, etc) and that is where the scenario to be played will be determined. Remember: legal is not cast in stone and neither are departmental politics. Once a LEA is involved in a situation, the best policy is to stay clear and do not be involved.

Time to beat the dead horse some more.

We HAVE to find a primary challenger for Alexander!!!

A bunch of very rich guys will get together and decide who they want to send to Washington and you will vote for him. Doesn't matter whether you are talking Republican or Democrat. it is how it is done in this country. Lamarr is entrenched, he is good for at least two more cycles. -
I have a Mossberg 500E (.410) and it is the most elegant of my shotguns. It is very sleek and slender. I bought it for my grandchildren to use when they come to visit.

"... in aid of person who has a reasonable fear of imminent death or serious injury..." If the Prosecutor/ plaintiff's attorney can get them to say that they did not feel the bandit was going to shoot them, You lose this defense. (Based on actual experience on jury duty. Anytime you act on behalf of another, you must know for sure that they would act or want you to act on their behalf., this one is tricky!) "... that presumption would surely be supported in TN courts..." Courts means juries. Juries will vary in demographics and philosophies by locale. A jury in Nashville would probably back you up, a jury in Memphis would probably burn you. "...That's why simply pointing a firearm at another (or even merely displaying it during a confrontation or altercation) is a felony in and of itself (aggravated assault)..." Not a point of issue. We can't shoot somebody for committing a felony in TN, only in actual self defense. It sucks and it makes for difficulty in using sound defense tactics but it is the law. The only way you can be sure you are not going to go to prison and/or get sued for everything you have is to follow the law. If we are going to be able to amply protect ourselves the law has to be changed otherwise follow it. Don't come after me, I didn't write the law, I just have to obey it.

Has anybody tried to buy ammo lately. EVERYBODY is hoarding ammo, especially my redneck neighbors who run the meth lab in their daddy's trailer! If you don't hoard, you won't have any for practice.
