You shouldn't be looking for "X-Ring" accuracy in a defensive shooting. You are looking for an effective grouping <5". I shoot revolvers all of the time and I shoot double action at all times. My triggers are standard (Approx 8#), it just takes practice.   As LtCol Cooper told us at Gunsite: " If you have a small group, you're shooting too damn slow!"

A badge denotes authority and some sort of jurisdiction. Way too many HCP holders think the permit makes them into some sort of LEO and public guardian. As HCP holders they are still private citizens and have no authority except to defend themselves and their family members. With all of the "Sheep Dog" talk going around, it is important to remember that neither a gun nor a big diesel pickup changes the size of your natural equipment. You are just a private citizen.

Whereas, they with their neato double column semi-autos will be able to save the day by taking out the entire ISIS organization with two extra magazines of 9MM. I spent a total of 60 months in combat in VietNam (4 Tours) with the USMC so I am in no position to question their superior logic. I have worn Perry's from the day I got my HCP. I buy mine at Walmart. A real big advantage to the Perry's is when you have to go to the bathroom in public. You don't have to take your shirt or jacket off to drop your pants. Easy off and easy hook up! Get the ones with the nylon keepers, they last longer. The one single factor not being considered is how a civilian with a handgun of any type is going to be perceived by the LEOs at the scene. With police officers shooting preteen kids with squirt guns many times (10+ shots) do you really think that in a SHF situation they will hesitate to waste a guy with a shiny new 10MM? This the single scenario that has been keeping me worried .Chances of encountering an adrenaline pumping LEO is a lot better than encountering a terrorist. BTW the cop is right, anybody with a gun and no badge or uniform needs neutralizing, sorry, but that is pretty much SOP. I carry a gun to keep from being executed, not for participating in a firefight.

According to all tests and sustained by research of all the popular pundits, the .357 Magnum still reigns supreme as the #1 man-stopper. the .40 S&W ranks right alongside the .45 ACP as second. I own all 3 and will feel sufficiently armed with any of the 3. Field results and actual one stop statistics are what made me give up my .44 Magnum for another .357.

I have sent a proposed bill to my legislator. Cell phones should be outlawed if they are capable of dialing more than 10 numbers, can be modified to auto dial, or can be silenced. A five day mandatory waiting period should be in place after a Federal  records check. The buyer should also have an affidavit from his doctor stating he has no medical health problems. WE KNOW TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM!

I have many guns but the Ruger MKII is my go-to every time when I need to carry a .22 in the field. Accurate and reliable, I don't think it can be beat for a hiking, camping or fishing back-up gun. It is the classic and will be for a long time. I wipe mine down with a Marine Sentry Guard cloth and carry it in all kinds of weather.

Loaded my 10 on desktop PC the end of July. The only program that didn't transition was MS FSX, It is out of production anyway so I just purchased X-Plane 10 and it is working fine with Windows 10.

Why buy the gun when they have apparently quit making ammo for it? The last box of .22LR ammo that I have seen in a commercial establishment was back in 2012. The last box I seen at a gun show cost more than a box of premium .357 Magnum ammo. I have packed my .22s in grease and placed them in a time capsule in my gun safe. Maybe my great-great grandkids might have ammo for them! Doubt it, I think the .22 is rapidly becoming a dinosaur,people won't buy guns they can't get ammo to shoot.
