Neither of my houses in a flood-zone, but we carry flood insurance on both - it only costs a couple hundred dollars/year, and your insurance won't pay you a dome if your house floods and you don't have it...

Gerber Crucial here - I can't imagine carrying anything else nowadays. It's an OK knife with a multi-tool thrown in. Ultra useful.

We've jumped into our safe room a couple of times today, but have thankfully had no damage or flooding out here. Power blinked off a couple of times while were watching the weather radar, but it didn't affect us as we have pretty serious UPS systems all over the house.
