When I first got into knives, I liked having both plain and serrated on the blade, but over the years I've found that plain serves my purposes every time, while a serrated blade is more of a specialized tool. If it were up to me, ever carry blade I have would be plain.

Yah, it sucks that so many "conservatives" rail against Obama, when out of the last five presidencies, the only one that has been remotely fiscally responsible was Clinton. Wake up people, every Republican president in the last 30 years has spent WAY MORE than they had in tax revenue (that's five terms, or 2/3 of the time at the helm) . Diff kids are diff wrt maturity, so if you really don't trust your youngest to keep his hands off, I'd look at a biometric safe or similar - something they won't be able to get into no matter how many combinations they try.

*bites tongue* Seems like they've really gotten faster regarding issuing permits - I've seen/hard from a lot of folks who have gotten their permits within 30 days recently - unheard of a year or two ago...

Most of the prefab underground shelters I've seen are waterproof fiberglass units.

It's actually a step backwards if that amendment sticks - as others have pointed out there are tons of places currently 'not legally posted' that will automatically be so if this passes - and not just reataurants. Man, sometimes we can't win for losing...
