So your suggestion is that homosexual behaviors do not exist in nature (outside of humans)?
-
OK, so, in essence, your argument against gay marriage being recognized by the federal government is that the bible says it's sinful, would you agree with that?
-
Since you're quoting Leviticus, it's safe to assume you follow all of the laws therein, is that right? ETA: Galatians 3:10 "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.""

Well, it's pretty simple - I'm just curious where it's based. I guess I read here less than some / most as I've never seen it explained. I've seen quasi-constitutional arguments, 'tradition' arguments, etc, but no one seems to have the balls to say "it's based on our religious beliefs" or ... So, since no one will answer the very basic question, I guess it's safe to assume it's a religious-based belief (Occam's Razor and all), which makes all of those arguing against it here incredibly hypocritical. Feel free to enlighten me otherwise. Oh, and for the record, I'm a long-time conservative Christian just trying to figure it all out. Wish I could say I had all the answers, but I can't.

Safe to assume none of the detractors are willing to answer this?
-
OK, let's try this angle - please answer this question: why are you who are opposed to 'gay marriage' opposed to it?
-
THIS! I was shocked when I realized that was the book Gale gave him. And this, too. I knew they were going to hammer us with something before the months-long break, but that was brilliant.

[quote name=' gregintenn']What rights do gays not have already? Nor are they allowed spousal rights we folks enjoy, such as certain tax benefits for being married or their partner receiving many 'survivor benefits'.
-
I dunno - after those 10 people were knocked off in prison, Hank's view of the Walt as one of the 'monsters' will affect him, imo. Hank's a bit of a goofball, but man, nothing gets past him. Now I'm *really* wondering what the prologue to S5 was about - Scarface ending?
-
So what's the cut-off percentage before someone is allowed certain rights?
-
Hehe, I love SEC football, but USC is in Los Angeles...

This. They look OK against an over-ranked USCe team so far.

No matter what, it's only going to get messier...

GOP Commits Suicide By Nominating Romney and Ignoring Ron Paul
G27 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
In 1848 the Free Soil Party running on two main platform points - abolition and homesteading - and with the motto "Free Soil, Free Speech, Free Labor, Free Men" - was able to get 10% of the vote for their Presidential candidate Martin Van Buren and elect just 14 Congressmen and 2 Senators - forcing the two main parties of the day - the Whigs and Democrats - to truly address these issues in the public dialog for the first time (the very first Senator to bring up the issue of nationwide abolition onto the floor of Congress was John P Hale - a Free Soiler). The Free Soil party dissolved in 1854 - but its core became the radical element within the Republican Party that wasn't just unionists but actual abolitionists and they were able to see The Homestead Act adopted in 1862 and the 13th Amendment enacted in 1865. SO - there is in fact a historical precedence of a principled Third Party gaining just a foothold into American governance was able to make a huge difference towards the positive. Why is this relevant today?? Because if a sizable enough block of voters would actually vote for the third party candidate that represented their principles it would get the D's and R's nervous to see the "swing/independent" faction they actually need in order to win elections saying "enough is enough!" to their failed bi-partisan liberty killing policies - and help to get real solutions more into the public dialog and implemented more as policies - or at the very least would help to moderate the D's and R's heinousness. SO - bah humbug on those who think voting third party is a "wasted vote" or that they should just "stay home." -
Walt's going to go looking for her for the list of Mike's 'people'...

Thanks for posting, going to watch this when I have time. That's two really smart dudes debating...

Whether or not you believe in creation (I do), the point is science cannot rely on it to explain the creation of the universe or the search for knowledge (and the huge amount of byproducts that come from the scientific research) stop. Science, by design, has to ignore 'a miracle happened here' and search for physical answers. I believe in God and I love science - the two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Walt allowed Jesse's girlfriend Jane to die. Her father - an air traffic controller - was so distraught he caused a mid-air crash between two planes.
-
Not necessarily, Mike wasn't there when Gus threatened his wife and kids - that seemed to be the point where he decided he had to take Gus out. I suspect Mike had seen Gus do stuff like that before, he was as calm as usual.
-
Of course Mike knew about that - he was the one who sent Victor (who was with Mike when he was supposed to kill Walt at the lab )to try to stop Jesse from killing Gale. And Mike was in the lab when Gus slit Victor's throat.
-
After Walt saw what Gus did to Victor after Walt & Jesse beat Gus tot he punch wrt killing Walt off, Walt knew his days were numbered. I don't think it was, at that time, 'empire building' that forced Walt to go after Gus - he knew only one of them would survive.

Yah, they could end it anywhere, but that doesn't mean it makes sense from the stand point of his character's development. Taking it to the next level, screwing things up and learning as he goes should build for an amazing finale at the end of this season. Yah, not a fan, thankfully he's not in S5 very much so far.
-
Hank is annoying, but I like him.
-
Nah, the character is still in development. I love S5 so far. Wha? That makes no sense, the story isn't finished.
