  1. I think UT ends up <.500 this year. It's no reflection on Dooley, I think he's likely to be a good coach in the future, but when you lose all five O-linemen, your QB, RB, and most of your defense, there's little hoe you can field a team competitive in the SEC. UT will be back, but it will take 2-3 years, I'm betting...
  2. Haha, nice projecting. If you read the thread, you're the only one who tried to convince anyone their choice was foolish.
  3. Because it's not an absolute - I may well need it someday and would rather have it and not need it then vice versa. That's an acceptable compromise for me. It's why I've said that those who choose to carry multiple firearms and reloads are welcome to do so - no one knows with any certainty what the future holds. That being said, acting as if it's foolish to not load out with multiple firearms and mags is silly. Every one of us plays the odds as we see fit.

    ID to use cash?

This. It actually surprises me when they do ask, and ALL of them glance at the back of the card. I think they're just looking to make sure it's 'signed'. I've gotten in the habit of thanking those who actually ask for ID.

    ID to use cash?

Yah, I waited tables in college, so I don't flippantly throw that out there. But it's true, you insult me like that asking for ID on legal tender - US CASH - then expect to get about nothing left for your 'efforts'.

    ID to use cash?

I'd hand them the Benjamin and tell him to pond sand if he asked for my ID. If he insisted, I'd consider showing my ID and leaving a 0% tip.
  7. I hope not, but I hope that at the very least VT wins. I'm so sick of the 'socialist' view that BSU 'deserves' a shot when they play such a cream puff schedule every year. A mid-tier SEC team would easily win 10 games per year with BSU's schedule...
  8. And that's the key, as statistically speaking, you'll never need to use your firearm. And if you do, statistically speaking, you'll need around three rounds. The point is, the chances of your getting into a firefight is astronomically small for most people, and then the need for more then 3-5 rounds is astronomically smaller again - those who wish to carry BUGs and extra mags are welcome, but to act as if it's foolish to not do so when your chances of dying in a car wreck are probably 1000x (or maybe 1,000,000X) greater is, well, truly short sighted...
  9. About 10 years ago I took traffic school in Shelby Co rather than have it go on my record and it was only $25 (plus four boring hours of my time)...
  10. We can't all be tactical badasses like you, DaddyO. Some of us live in the real world. You should try it sometime.
  11. Congrats - keep up the good work!
  12. My wife used her HCP ID once to buy me some beer when she went to the store and left her DL @ home. They didn't bat an eye at it and sold it to her.
  13. Cutting the new North Mississippi Allstars record today along with an EP for Green River Ordinance.

  15. Nope, once again, you're making arguments with (apparently) little or no knowledge of that which you are arguing against (all the while building a few straw men along the way). If you wish to understand what I meant, read the first few chapters of Genesis. I believe then you'll understand the point I'm making here. If, however, you'd rather continue discussing religious beliefs without actually reading and understanding the text from which those beliefs stem, then I'll bow out - I have no interest in discussing something with someone so closed-minded they won't even pick up the most common book on earth in order to have some understanding of my perspective.
  16. Yah, it's called faith, and for many folks it comes from experiences we've had that can't be explained logically otherwise. Empirical evidence trumps grasping at theories for most folks.
  17. No, I'm simply pointing out that there are things that aren't fully explained. However, even if we ignore the creation 'days' and stick with the story of Adam and Eve, there's NOTHING in the bible that tells us how long they lived in the garden before they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge - it could literally have been billions of years - we simply don't know, and it's unimportant in the grand scheme of things. But then, I'm not sure why I'm even explaining this to you, as you've obviously made up your mind already. I would suggest you actually read up on the subject before making patently false statements.
  18. Completely false - we do not know how long the 'days' of creation were, nor, if we take the story of Adam & Eve literally, do we know how long they lived in the garden before they sinned. Both creation and scientific theories can coexist, it's the dogmatic approach you're displaying here that makes people choose 'sides'.
  19. Yah, good luck - we're home schooling for that very reason - the public schools only teach one thing, the private only another...

  21. I guess it kinda blows some people's minds to find out there are folks like myself who think that both science and God can coexist...
  22. I said (and you quoted) "it's a racist term as it's a derogatory term based solely on the person's race". RIF.
  23. Me, either. I actually aspire to pick up some redneck traits as I grow older...
