No, you're totally right - you have to invest in where you want to be. If that's in the city, suburbs, rural areas - doesn't matter. You won't make it on your own if things get bad enough, no matter what, so if you aren't willing to seriously invest in your 'bug out land', you're probably better off investing your time into where you are now...

Gorilla wood glue is awesomer, I've built / repaired tons of wood projects over the years with it. Make sure you follow the directions for prep and use it sparingly as it's an expanding 'foam' type adhesive, once it dries the bond will be stronger than the wood around it...

I often wonder how many preppers on the forums would keel over from a heart attack in <3 miles under a strenuous hike. Seems like many want to talk about food, water and guns (and other toys) but few want to discuss physical fitness as a survival prep.

For the record, Kiffin was Carroll's recruiting coordinator while he was @ USC. And yah @ coach quitting - I don't hear any UT fans moaning about how unfair it was to La Tech for Dooley to leave closer to signing day than Kiffin left UT...
