  1. What a shame.
  2. Why is it folks always want more rules to force people to do things their way? OP, where's your full name? I didn't see it in your profile.
  3. Thanks for the tip, just ordered a couple of kits from that site, Greg...
  4. Awesome, keep it up, guys!
  5. Yah, that's my thinking - the only benefit to an AOW is the cheaper tax stamp upon transfer.
  6. Done.
  7. Hrmm, I *think* what you'd do it get the stamp for a 6" barrel and cut it to 12" for now. I'm still researching this myself, so don't run with that just yet, hehe...
  8. I've been looking into this one, I think the way to go is to build your own SBS - the initial build cost is the same but you get greater flexibility in that you can go from an AOW (pistol grip, very short barrel) all the way to a full on hunting shotgun (wth stock and 28" barrel) with one firearm, any time you want. Sure, the tax stamp costs the buyer more if you ever transfer it, but you get much greater flexibility with the SBS. If you're going to buy from someone else, then yah, AOW is probably cheaper.
  9. IIRC: AOW - $200 to manufacture, $5 to transfer SBS - $200 to manufacture, $200 to transfer AOW - must have pistol grip, barrel <16" SBS - can have either pistol grip or stock, any barrel length as long or longer than reported the manufactured length
  10. Yah, iirc, the AG position is an 8 year appointment by the governor, and our current delight was put in place by Bredesen...
  11. TN was not one of the 26 states involved in the suit.
  12. Correction - until a conservative justice steps down / dies.
  13.
  14. I have a hard time seeing the five generally conservative judges calling this constitutional under the Commerce Clause - if they do that, they're essentially saying the government can legislate EVERYTHING in our lives under said clause. Just don't see that happening. And if it does, pitchforks and torches.
  15. Yep, it's very appreciated!
  16. For the WIN!

    Egypt

Iran did it. From what they said on the news, this is the first time the Egyptian gov't has done this to this degree...

    Egypt

Yep. No matter how you slice it, if the people have grown weary of the oppression, I'm 100% behind them rising up and deposing the leaders.

Pretty funny, almost like he has zero experience on discussion forums. Bet he's a blast at parties.
  20. Instead of kicking up a sand storm, maybe think about why someone asked what they did. It's kinda how things are done.
  21. Do they play to rack up winning records or to win championships? I would hope the fans would have the same goal as the players - not just to win a number of games, but to win the championship now and then...
  22. Ditto, and I've wondered this myself.
  23. Where has the idea come from that the 1911 is so unreliable? I don't own one, but I've always heard the standard GI issue 1911 was akin to the AK47 - loose tolerance meant it ran and ran and ran. Are we confusing the modern, tight-tolerance, hand made 1911 with the ones our GI's used for decades?

Oh boy, I'd LOVE to hear him explain this from Article II of the US Constitution:
